I just purchased a new battery from them. The employee told me that it might be your alternator? Today, I brought my car in to have my alternator replaced. Speaking with the owner, He told me the issue isn't with the battery or alternator. It's with my aftermarket car alarm. For some reason, it is draining my battery. The moral of the story is being honest will pay off. I will definitely return and tell all my family and friends. Thank you!

Quick and honest service!…read more I sent a message on Yelp requesting a quote for an oil change. They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

Prices were much more reasonable in comparison to dealership. I was informed of the costs prior to any work being done. This is my second time trusting stress free auto with my car. They did a wonderful job on my break repair service last year. I was kept updated and informed of their work progress. I would encourage them to continue with the updated communication to customers as it does help ease your mind. I would recommend this business.

I wanted to love this place. The text updates, the photos, the digital portal where you can select…read moreor defer services with a click - it's modern and convenient. The waiting area is clean, there are snacks, coffee, places to charge. The people are friendly. They do a multi-point digital inspection where they send you a photo of everything they checked, whether it needs service or not. That's genuinely cool, and it's included when you have service done. But you, the customer, are absolutely overpaying for that service, and I believe that's where the cost of all that technology lives. For my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, I was quoted $763.49 for front brakes and rotors, $707.48 for rear, and $150.39 for cabin and engine air filters. They also recommended a brake fluid flush at $244.95. With tax, over $2,000. I looked up what these should cost. Brakes and rotors on my car at an independent shop run $600-1,100. The flush should be $90-150 - even a dealership would charge around $180-220, still less than their quote. I called five other shops, all within a mile or two. Every single one was under $1,000 for brakes and rotors. The shop I chose did brakes, rotors, and filters for $592.73 - less than half of what Stress-Free quoted for brakes and rotors alone, before tax. This wasn't an isolated incident. My synthetic oil change was quoted at $127 - meanwhile, the fair price for my car is $75-90. They only came down when I called and mentioned a competitor's pricing. You shouldn't have to negotiate a fair price on something as basic as an oil change. The last time I was here, they put a branded license plate frame on my car and told me it'd get me $20 off my next visit. That $20 was never applied. It's a promise they didn't keep, on a car they branded for free. And as long as that frame is on my car, I'm driving around advertising a shop that overcharged me on every service & basically telling everyone I'm a sucker who happily overpays for things. I removed it the second I got home. Their transparency did help me, just not in the way they intended. Seeing every item priced out made it easy to compare. Once I did, the gap was impossible to ignore. The technology is nice. The people are nice. The inspection with photos is cool, and it's free. But you're paying for it, and what you're paying is two to three times what honest shops - or even dealerships - charge for the same work.

I am sending him a demand letter (see pictures) today and am prepared to follow up with a complaint to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and file suit. Other work was ok, but not problem free. I see that the owner responded to my review. My friend did indeed work on my brakes. He replaced the rotors and the brake pads. He didn't touch the hydraulics. Sunrise Auto did the work on the hydraulic lines for the left front wheel brakes. The failure of my brake system occurred because the brake line work was not properly done. Sunrise Auto placed the flexible brake line where it would rub on the inside wheel well, ultimately causing a break in the line and a failure of hydraulic pressure. As I said, this botched repair job put my son at risk of serious bodily injury or death from traveling in a vehicle with no brakes. Here's my personal message to you, Peter. You evidently ignored my demand letter because I didn't receive payment. The next step is the Bureau of Automotive Repair. And after that I will pursue other legal remedies. I hope the readers of my review and your response will take heed and will take their business to another mechanic who performs reputable work.

My transmission had started slipping in 4th and 5th gear, which made it extremely difficult to drive in automatic, so in the intern I drove my car in the manual option. It worked for a while but at times I would slip gears on the freeway and it became unresponsive when trying to shift gears to catch again. Long story short, I came here based on family recommendation, dealer wanted 10k to put a new transmission in. AAMCO wanted to charge 6k. I was quoted 2.8k for the transmission work to be done. My vacuum pump had been leaking for years so I asked about that. Dealer wanted to charge 2k and Jose charged me only 500. Not bad at all! I took a gamble and let his team do the work... I usually do my own work but obviously I can't do a transmission... unless I have the right equipment. Now my car runs phenomenal! I didn't realize how worn out my transmission was. Granted this "new" transmission is used, it was certified and warrantied so it was rebuilt. Sounds new to me! Car runs amazing and my brakes are more responsive after the vacuum pump change. He is very reasonable and very humble. He has a great team of mechanics who do an excellent job at what they have a talent in. They are ASE certified too if anyone wants to know. He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

The service techs don't do that here. You let them know what you need, you pull into the garage and sit in your car as the magic takes place. They will top off fluids, if needed put air in your tires and let you know if anything else may need to be handled in the future. They are not pushy. Oh, and they are quick! I dropped off my car at 8:30, but there was already two other folks in the shop's dual bays. They said it might take half an hour to take care of the other clients and then 2.5 - 3 hours to take care of business. I appreciate Green Rider's speed, efficiency, clarity, and fair pricing. Thank you!!
