Paula's Perfect Nail is great! It was my first time going to this place but it was recommended by my friends and it also happened to be one of my really good friend's aunt! When I came in, the smell was really strong compared to other places. I was hoping they would leave the door open or at least, slightly open to take some of the heavy smell away. But I went at night, so it was cold and I understood that soon, people would want the door close! Therefore, I didn't bother. I was waiting for about 20 minutes since I did come in without an appointment time. It was no biggie. Originally, I came in to get a full set but once my friend's aunt saw my nails, she said it was beautiful and that I shouldn't get acrylics. Instead, I should get gel. ( I was tired of gel ). So I decided to get gel. It came out beautiful! I love my nails. The service was great. Although it took me 3 coats to achieve my color, it looks amazing. I would definitely come back again when I'm in town! read more

My nails came out beautiful, and were reasonably priced. Paula did a great job, the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I had left over acrylic on my skin, that I had to remove. read more

Wow Von took his time on my nails and always made sure I was comfortable. I had low expectations but this is probably the best price and experience I have!! Go here they're so caring :) Not the most aesthetic place but don't let that fool you in terms of customer service! I got a full set for $20 how amazing! Tip those hard workers!! read more

Womp womp... How is this place rated so highly? Was told over the phone they'd be ready for 2 pedicures in about 10-15 minutes... waited almost an hour. I had a woman named Tammy that was a little rough and not as detailed as I'm used to or would've liked. Very unorganized staff and sloppy looking space. A girl next to me was rushed out after fresh polish to squeeze the next person in... there were also clients waiting to pay that waited for a long time before being helped. Although they were all smiles here and attempted to make a good first impression they definitely need help with proper customer service and how to run this business more efficiently. It's a place run solely by family and they're incredibly outdated. Nails were painted mehHh... started chipping and cracking in about a week and a half. read more

They only get 2 stars because it was very dirty! There floors still had nail clipping everywhere! It was very gross! I went in the morning too, so that tells me they don't clean everyday. I got almond shaped nails and a pedicure. I was so disgusted by the floor. Someone finally swept, it completely Missed spots. It was done so lazily. I only came here since it was local to my errand, it I will Never come back. Please clean this place up. read more

I am not a hard person to please but this will be my last time ever going here. I came in and showed what I wanted and my hands looked worst than when I came in. I had glue all underneath my nails and one of the nail tech didn't know how to do a design I asked for so kept redoing it over and over again. The manager had to come and take charge. On top of that I don't think what I got was even worth the 50$ I could've gone else where for a better outcome. Sorry but never again read more

Paula is amazing with the nails and eyebrows! The shape is nearly perfect and her husbands art of work is just as great! I won't give away who I love for the pedicures because then she'll only be more bussy and won't have time for me but definitely a must try place that turns into your always go to place. No one but Paula touches my eyebrows. And I make the drive from Anaheim because she's worth it! read more

Love this place I've been to couple of them in El Monte and trust me I rather drive those extra miles to come here especially with TINA she's the best always spoiling me with massages and getting rid of my ingrown toenail shes the only one since I've been getting my nails done who can get the job done and takes her time with everything she does and if I need a ASAP appt she's there.. read more

I have been a client here for a lot of years. I would come from another state just to get the best service. I have no idea what has now happened that I have moved back but it's horrible. Service is crap and making an appointment is useless. This has not happened once but almost every time I have booked and appointment for the past year. I call and book my appointment, then I show up and I have to wait an hour. I have had to leave after waiting long because I don't have anymore time. Other times I wait for 30+ minutes and when I get helped they are in such a rush they do a horrible rushed job. You are all better off going somewhere else. I have now had to look for other places cause this is no longer worth it. HORRIBLE! read more

It's funny how these ladies can't differentiate their asians. I understand EVERY SINGLE word they say to each other and about me. I keep a straight face bcuz I like to listen to what they have to say. Lady with bangs did a good job on my pedicure today. No complaints on my pedicure :) My eyebrows however were done by some random lady. The lady that gave me a bad pedicure awhile back. She was not tedious and careful at all with my brows. My brows looked the same as how I walked in and walked out. There was an abundant amount of hairs that needed to be plucked. There was still wax around my brow area when I left as well. At least for Paula, she's quick but she gets the job done RIGHT! Make sure Paula wax your brows. If not, save yourself the $7. read more

I've actually been coming here for more than 15 years and she's been doing my eyebrows she also does moneys in pennies which is also good with a good decent price she is located in Almonte inside a small plaza and I think it's open from 10 to 7 I always get Paula to do my eyebrows because she is so good in shaping and cleaning she also has wax and trims my eyebrows .. Great customer service, but for long lasting acrylic french tip, I would not come back here. Everyone is friendly and I chose this place over another place close by because they offered a lower price. Unfortunately, my acrylic lifted within 2 days and now its been a week and even after they re did my nails, most of them are peeling. My photo with the peelling was taken on day 2. I thought I would give them a shot for acrylic, but I just don't think they're as pro as the other place I have been to. Wendy was very nice about fixing my nails so that was very sweet! read more

I was looking for a place that was open (when I searched yelp it was 7:30 pm) I found this place and called to see what time they close. She said "8, but we have customers so you can come" I told her I was about 10 minutes away, she told me she would wait for me. First impression was the place was small and not what I'm used to. I asked to be helped by Paula (the owner) due to her great reviews on Yelp! She was VERY busy! I arrived at about 7:45 pm and didn't leave until 10:45 pm! But I really can't complain since they closed at 8 pm and she took me in 15 minuets before they closed. She had 2 women waiting for her to do gel nails and gel manicures. She already had them soaking and waiting in chairs. So she got thru with them and other ladies kept wanting her and her only to do their eye brows. So she came over and had enough time to glue on the nails (I was getting a new set (acrylics)) So finally after 1 manicure, 2 gel applications & 3 eyebrow waxing later, she was ready for me. I told her I wanted my nails to be short and very thin. As natural looking as possible. She was gentle and was very conversational which I enjoyed. She asked how I liked them every step of the way. She said "Listening to your customers is very important" and I really appreciated that, since I'm known to be "PICKY". I honestly loved her service. Yes I hated waiting like 2 1/2 hours, but I got exactly what I wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend Paula to anyone. Not knocking the other ladies (and one guy) since I've only been here once and was helped by Paula. I would suggest NOT to come too close to closing to avoid such a long wait! I think it was great quality work for a really great price! They seemed to have very low prices for all of their services which is really nice. *I would have rated 5 stars but I was unhappy with such a long wait and the actual "salon" was small and crowded and no spa pedicures read more

I wanted to provide an update on what happened after I called the police. While the police were interviewing the workers at the business, they requested access to the security camera footage. During this time, the masseuse was acting very strange and repeatedly kept touching her pocket, which immediately raised concerns. The police gave her one final opportunity to conduct another search. The officer also asked me if I wanted to search the premises myself, and I told him that I wanted the entire place searched, including the masseuse, her pockets, and everywhere else thoroughly. Shortly after, the owner arrived and began speaking with the police. Then, unbelievably, the masseuse walked back into the same room (room 008) we had previously been in, came back out, and suddenly claimed she had found the missing item. She told the police it was supposedly under the pillow. What makes this highly suspicious is that she had already searched under the pillow and through the NEW sheets while I was present and stated that nothing was there. Now we're expected to believe that it was somehow hidden in the crack of the massage table (according to the owner stated on my friend's review) the entire time. That explanation sounds very sketchy and raises serious concerns about the credibility of what actually happened. STILL never coming back. The masseuse got caught.

Been with Paula's for years and I follow Tammy where ever she goes. I have the WORST problem with ingrown toes and she is amazing at removing them without hurting me. I highly recommend Tammy but make sure you go when she is not busy. She gives you all the TLC in the world and you need the time to enjoy it. read more

Tammy is the absolute BEST at doing pedicures. I have terrible problems with ingrown nails and they can get very painful at times but Tammy gently gets them out and never rushes you through. I go here for her and Paula is a perfectionist with waxing. read more

The service was pretty lengthy, and it included a short (but needed!) massage on my feet. I almost thought they were giving me their deluxe service. I will definitely be going back. As I sat for two hours, I noticed that the manager was demanding tips for those paying with card. One girl came in and didn't tip and she asked "you're not going to tip?" Putting her on the spot. The girl only gave $3 but then the manager told her it wasn't enough for the serves they provided. I was embarrassed for the girl! I just hoped that her bluntness would be something I could put aside for a good mani/pedi but then a week later my nail polish started to chip (gel that is). Needless to say, I will never come back here again. I like to give business at least two chances before loosing my business. I returned today for another pedicure/mani and the atmosphere was still the same as I waited.

The barbicide looked like it hadn't been changed in ages, and there were dust and toenail clippings all over the floor. It did not feel like a clean or safe environment. I came in asking to have my Gel-X nails removed, and the woman immediately began arguing with me, insisting they were acrylic. I repeatedly told her I only get Gel-X, but she continued to argue instead of listening. It was clear she had no idea how to properly remove them. She kept painfully prying at my nails, even though I told her multiple times that it hurt. To make matters worse, she began lecturing me about how I should never get Gel-X nails, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Despite the terrible experience, I still tipped her -- and she snatched the cash from my hand without a single word. There's still product left on my nails, and I honestly regret ever walking into this place. I will never be coming back.
