Paula did my cat eye Valentine's Day nails on top my my natural nails. She went out of her way to create a cat eye test nail to show how it would looked. She is the absolute best "a perfectionist", she caters to your needs with a great attitude. I saw all the reviews after my first experience and was so confused. I'd skip this and go else where for better quality work and an cleaner place. Friends wanted to go here because the price was reasonable but the work space was cringe worthy and dirty. At one point I saw a woman who had been filing down acrylics used the filter to scrape off the powder dust from the table and into the trash bin. She kept the file to be reused. Same with the buffers and everything else. Had a manicure gel and there was clear top coat all over my fingers on the skin. Super sloppy work. Then I did a regular pedicure... aside from not having the first two colors I wanted.... For my toes this girl went at it and started cutting the side of my nails and pulling it up.... obviously painful and she was rough. My toe is still sensitive and hurting from the treatment. The paint was all sloppy and also on my skin that I had to check if it was my nail cut unevenly or not. The cost was $34 for both mani and pedi. I would have rather paid extra for better service, even nail polish, and clean tools and now I am praying I don't get a foot infection where it's currently hurting. Ugh. read more

But I went at night, so it was cold and I understood that soon, people would want the door close! Therefore, I didn't bother. I was waiting for about 20 minutes since I did come in without an appointment time. It was no biggie. Womp womp... How is this place rated so highly? Was told over the phone they'd be ready for 2 pedicures in about 10-15 minutes... waited almost an hour. I had a woman named Tammy that was a little rough and not as detailed as I'm used to or would've liked. Very unorganized staff and sloppy looking space. A girl next to me was rushed out after fresh polish to squeeze the next person in... there were also clients waiting to pay that waited for a long time before being helped. Although they were all smiles here and attempted to make a good first impression they definitely need help with proper customer service and how to run this business more efficiently. I have been a client here for a lot of years. I would come from another state just to get the best service. I have no idea what has now happened that I have moved back but it's horrible. Service is crap and making an appointment is useless. This has not happened once but almost every time I have booked and appointment for the past year. I call and book my appointment, then I show up and I have to wait an hour. I have had to leave after waiting long because I don't have anymore time. Other times I wait for 30+ minutes and when I get helped they are in such a rush they do a horrible rushed job. You are all better off going somewhere else. I've actually been coming here for more than 15 years and she's been doing my eyebrows she also does moneys in pennies which is also good with a good decent price she is located in Almonte inside a small plaza and I think it's open from 10 to 7 I always get Paula to do my eyebrows because she is so good in shaping and cleaning she also has wax and trims my eyebrows .. Great customer service, but for long lasting acrylic french tip, I would not come back here. Everyone is friendly and I chose this place over another place close by because they offered a lower price. Unfortunately, my acrylic lifted within 2 days and now its been a week and even after they re did my nails, most of them are peeling. My photo with the peelling was taken on day 2. I was looking for a place that was open (when I searched yelp it was 7:30 pm) I found this place and called to see what time they close. She said "8, but we have customers so you can come" I told her I was about 10 minutes away, she told me she would wait for me. First impression was the place was small and not what I'm used to. I asked to be helped by Paula (the owner) due to her great reviews on Yelp! She was VERY busy! I arrived at about 7:45 pm and didn't leave until 10:45 pm! But I really can't complain since they closed at 8 pm and she took me in 15 minuets before they closed. She had 2 women waiting for her to do gel nails and gel manicures. She already had them soaking and waiting in chairs. So she got thru with them and other ladies kept wanting her and her only to do their eye brows. So she came over and had enough time to glue on the nails (I was getting a new set (acrylics)) So finally after 1 manicure, 2 gel applications & 3 eyebrow waxing later, she was ready for me. I told her I wanted my nails to be short and very thin. As natural looking as possible. She was gentle and was very conversational which I enjoyed. She asked how I liked them every step of the way. She said "Listening to your customers is very important" and I really appreciated that, since I'm known to be "PICKY". I honestly loved her service. Yes I hated waiting like 2 1/2 hours, but I got exactly what I wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend Paula to anyone. Not knocking the other ladies (and one guy) since I've only been here once and was helped by Paula. I would suggest NOT to come too close to closing to avoid such a long wait! I was looking around yelp for a nail salon in El Monte. All the other salons either had reviews about too much cuticle skin being cut off or an infection. Yeah... No thanks. I decided to try out this new place and man it rocks. I came in around 2pm on a Tuesday and it had a couple people. My nail lady was very quiet and tentative to detail when it came to my cuticles. She didn't dig in like other salons and that I liked. Something I found weird was how she rubbed lotion from my hands up all the way to my elbows. It was AWKS because I have hairy Indian arms; the lotion moved my already in place hair in a crazy way. They have a small selection but they have new polishes which is a plus. They have some OPI while others don't have any. Overall, Paula (the owner) was not pushy with up selling products or anything of that sort. They work kind of slow but with precision which is appreciated. Not trying to bash the people who wax their brows here, but it's a pretty fake high arched look. I know I know that sounds mean. I'm just saying most nail salons usually do the typical pick up arch and yeah... Not my taste. I'm more of the bushier the better so don't like that sway your judgement. Just don't post a bad review if you get the brows I mentioned above is all hahaha. I think this is my new go to nail salon. I messed up two finger nails from rushing out the door to practice -sigh- but nonetheless the filing is perf and everyone assumes my nails are fake which they aren't. Talk about hidden gem. I drive by this plaza all the time but never knew it was here. First of all, they have a great color selection. I love that the gel polish had partner polishes so I knew exactly the color I would be getting. Secondly, there's a lot of stations. Lastly, the staff is extremely nice.
