Unprofessional, rude, employees working there . The worst service I've ever had in a nail salon . My nails came out with bubbles, uneven nail polish . A lady who worked there she was built big and tall I forgot her name I think it was Annette or something like that, she was so rude just throwing everything You could tell she didn't want to do her job . Please don't waste your hard earned money here read more

I'm honestly the pickiest person, especially when it comes down to my nails! I actually stumbled upon this place on accident. Paula stunned me! She is the absolute best "a perfectionist", she caters to your needs with a great attitude. I saw all the reviews after my first experience and was so confused. I just came out of my second session, I got a refill (shown in the pic) I love everything about my nails! The shape, color, design, everything. Everything is also priced reasonably. I also got a pedicure, they do an awesome job and really get in there unlike many places that just wet your feet and paint your nails. The actual location can use cleaning up but hey you win some you loose some. Overall great place, great people, great work. read more

I'd skip this and go else where for better quality work and an cleaner place. Friends wanted to go here because the price was reasonable but the work space was cringe worthy and dirty. At one point I saw a woman who had been filing down acrylics used the filter to scrape off the powder dust from the table and into the trash bin. She kept the file to be reused. Same with the buffers and everything else. Had a manicure gel and there was clear top coat all over my fingers on the skin. Super sloppy work. Then I did a regular pedicure... aside from not having the first two colors I wanted.... For my toes this girl went at it and started cutting the side of my nails and pulling it up.... obviously painful and she was rough. My toe is still sensitive and hurting from the treatment. The paint was all sloppy and also on my skin that I had to check if it was my nail cut unevenly or not. The cost was $34 for both mani and pedi. I would have rather paid extra for better service, even nail polish, and clean tools and now I am praying I don't get a foot infection where it's currently hurting. Ugh. read more

Paula's Perfect Nail is great! It was my first time going to this place but it was recommended by my friends and it also happened to be one of my really good friend's aunt! When I came in, the smell was really strong compared to other places. I was hoping they would leave the door open or at least, slightly open to take some of the heavy smell away. But I went at night, so it was cold and I understood that soon, people would want the door close! Therefore, I didn't bother. I was waiting for about 20 minutes since I did come in without an appointment time. It was no biggie. Originally, I came in to get a full set but once my friend's aunt saw my nails, she said it was beautiful and that I shouldn't get acrylics. Instead, I should get gel. ( I was tired of gel ). So I decided to get gel. It came out beautiful! I love my nails. The service was great. Although it took me 3 coats to achieve my color, it looks amazing. I would definitely come back again when I'm in town! read more

Womp womp... How is this place rated so highly? Was told over the phone they'd be ready for 2 pedicures in about 10-15 minutes... waited almost an hour. I had a woman named Tammy that was a little rough and not as detailed as I'm used to or would've liked. Very unorganized staff and sloppy looking space. A girl next to me was rushed out after fresh polish to squeeze the next person in... there were also clients waiting to pay that waited for a long time before being helped. Although they were all smiles here and attempted to make a good first impression they definitely need help with proper customer service and how to run this business more efficiently. It's a place run solely by family and they're incredibly outdated. Nails were painted mehHh... started chipping and cracking in about a week and a half. read more

I am not a hard person to please but this will be my last time ever going here. I came in and showed what I wanted and my hands looked worst than when I came in. I had glue all underneath my nails and one of the nail tech didn't know how to do a design I asked for so kept redoing it over and over again. The manager had to come and take charge. On top of that I don't think what I got was even worth the 50$ I could've gone else where for a better outcome. Sorry but never again read more

It's funny how these ladies can't differentiate their asians. I understand EVERY SINGLE word they say to each other and about me. I keep a straight face bcuz I like to listen to what they have to say. Lady with bangs did a good job on my pedicure today. No complaints on my pedicure :) My eyebrows however were done by some random lady. The lady that gave me a bad pedicure awhile back. She was not tedious and careful at all with my brows. My brows looked the same as how I walked in and walked out. There was an abundant amount of hairs that needed to be plucked. There was still wax around my brow area when I left as well. At least for Paula, she's quick but she gets the job done RIGHT! Make sure Paula wax your brows. If not, save yourself the $7. read more

Great customer service, but for long lasting acrylic french tip, I would not come back here. Everyone is friendly and I chose this place over another place close by because they offered a lower price. Unfortunately, my acrylic lifted within 2 days and now its been a week and even after they re did my nails, most of them are peeling. My photo with the peelling was taken on day 2. I thought I would give them a shot for acrylic, but I just don't think they're as pro as the other place I have been to. Wendy was very nice about fixing my nails so that was very sweet! read more

I was looking for a place that was open (when I searched yelp it was 7:30 pm) I found this place and called to see what time they close. She said "8, but we have customers so you can come" I told her I was about 10 minutes away, she told me she would wait for me. First impression was the place was small and not what I'm used to. I asked to be helped by Paula (the owner) due to her great reviews on Yelp! She was VERY busy! I arrived at about 7:45 pm and didn't leave until 10:45 pm! But I really can't complain since they closed at 8 pm and she took me in 15 minuets before they closed. She had 2 women waiting for her to do gel nails and gel manicures. She already had them soaking and waiting in chairs. So she got thru with them and other ladies kept wanting her and her only to do their eye brows. So she came over and had enough time to glue on the nails (I was getting a new set (acrylics)) So finally after 1 manicure, 2 gel applications & 3 eyebrow waxing later, she was ready for me. I told her I wanted my nails to be short and very thin. As natural looking as possible. She was gentle and was very conversational which I enjoyed. She asked how I liked them every step of the way. She said "Listening to your customers is very important" and I really appreciated that, since I'm known to be "PICKY". I honestly loved her service. Yes I hated waiting like 2 1/2 hours, but I got exactly what I wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend Paula to anyone. Not knocking the other ladies (and one guy) since I've only been here once and was helped by Paula. I would suggest NOT to come too close to closing to avoid such a long wait! I think it was great quality work for a really great price! They seemed to have very low prices for all of their services which is really nice. *I would have rated 5 stars but I was unhappy with such a long wait and the actual "salon" was small and crowded and no spa pedicures read more

I was looking around yelp for a nail salon in El Monte. All the other salons either had reviews about too much cuticle skin being cut off or an infection. Yeah... No thanks. I decided to try out this new place and man it rocks. I came in around 2pm on a Tuesday and it had a couple people. My nail lady was very quiet and tentative to detail when it came to my cuticles. She didn't dig in like other salons and that I liked. Something I found weird was how she rubbed lotion from my hands up all the way to my elbows. It was AWKS because I have hairy Indian arms; the lotion moved my already in place hair in a crazy way. They have a small selection but they have new polishes which is a plus. They have some OPI while others don't have any. Overall, Paula (the owner) was not pushy with up selling products or anything of that sort. They work kind of slow but with precision which is appreciated. Not trying to bash the people who wax their brows here, but it's a pretty fake high arched look. I know I know that sounds mean. I'm just saying most nail salons usually do the typical pick up arch and yeah... Not my taste. I'm more of the bushier the better so don't like that sway your judgement. Just don't post a bad review if you get the brows I mentioned above is all hahaha. I think this is my new go to nail salon. I messed up two finger nails from rushing out the door to practice -sigh- but nonetheless the filing is perf and everyone assumes my nails are fake which they aren't. Idk if that's a compliment or an insult .. I'm sad because she cut my coke nail (long pinky nail that references cocaine use, that I use to pick my boogers with). She asked if I wanted to cut and I thought she meant another nail. Oh well :( hahaha. read more

Talk about hidden gem. I drive by this plaza all the time but never knew it was here. First of all, they have a great color selection. I love that the gel polish had partner polishes so I knew exactly the color I would be getting. Secondly, there's a lot of stations. Lastly, the staff is extremely nice. One thing they are missing, massage chairs and spas.. not sure if I'd get a pedicure here, but I'll definitely be back for a manicure. Price list said UV Gel Manicure for $18, but I got charged $23. Maybe because I asked for French tip, but still a lot cheaper than most places. read more

Been with Paula's for years and I follow Tammy where ever she goes. I have the WORST problem with ingrown toes and she is amazing at removing them without hurting me. I came to remove my acrylic nails. Someone came in after me so they had me soak my nails in acetone…read morewhich is normal but my hands were soaking in acetone for 15 minutes. I have sensitive skin so I would take them out every so often cause my skin was hurting/burning and she kept telling me to put them back in. Well, if you were there to scrap off the acrylics instead of leaving me to do someone else's nails then I wouldn't have to take them out! Finally, she came back to me and cut my nails way too short. Idk who cuts them like this. The owner told my lady to "file it neatly and put oil on it" in Vietnamese. My nails were not filed nearly at all. I'm gonna go home just to cut off the remaining. I still have acrylic powder on my nails too. Also, I'm Vietnamese. I understood everything you said.

I come here regularly every 2-3 weeks to get a mani and pedi. Kim always does a fantastic job on my…read moremanicure. I usually get acrylic and gel both and she really takes her time to make sure your nails are even, clean and absolutely perfect! She doesn't rush through anything and double checks back and forth with me to make sure I am satisfied with the length and look of my nails. I will usually get the combination of the hot stone massage, pedicure, foot scrub, and callous remover. Kathy takes care of me and makes sure I am very comfortable. If they offer you the deluxe package with the hot stone foot massage and scrub, do it and thank me later! They also have a special space for sanitizing their tools and between 3 workers I see them cleaning their tools after every client. The last two times I've come in they've also bought new gel colors I can't wait to try for summer!! So many neutrals for the everyday look as well :) I will be back soon! TIP: This establishment is somewhat on the smaller side. But don't be fooled, they work very hard to accommodate their clients but be sure to call ahead to make an appointment so they can prepare for your exact needs. There have been times when I need a fill last minute on a weekend but they will squeeze me in because I've called in before showing up!

I was even asked to use the same pedicure water from the previous client, which is unsanitary and unsafe. When I politely mentioned my concern, staff became upset rather than addressing the issue. Cindy always checked with me to see if I liked it. I highly recommend her. It was her idea to put some extra sparkle on the ring fingers because I chose a simple one and she was right! It looks way better! The only suggestion I would have is to clean cuticle. I asked her to clean them up for me because she started to put on the fake nails before cleaning cuticles; and she did. (Maybe this is something they do after or you would have to ask for) it was 4:30 pm and they had a busy day so I was understanding. In addition, ask to clean up around the fingers and under the nail for the extra acrylic. She saw them but I didn't bother asking as she already did a great job and it was 5:20 pm Overall, I had a great experience!
