We first met Shea and Colton after extensive research when we needed a major whole-house deep cleaning following the remodeling of our kitchen and master bathroom. The remodel involved a solid month of workers doing sawing, plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation - it was a mess! But Shea and Colton came through for us, fitting us into their busy schedule so that we didn't have to live in the post-construction dirt for long. And what a job they did! Basically they wanted me to pair a Share Of Cost of $3891 and that combined with my mortgage would almost take all my money that I have for the month. It was very hard for me to keep my house clean and I was kind of in denial about me having to do it all by myself. So I decided to go on yelp, and Donnie maids was the first company that came up. The owner of Valerie is very nice and very, very easy to work with She sent out a woman. I cannot remember her name, but she was also very good. She did a walk-through of my home and she asked if she could take pictures before she started taking pictures. I really appreciate that not that I have anything to hide lol. The next day two workers came and I instructed them what I needed done what was a priority and what I didn't need to have done just personal items that I'd rather take care of myself they did an amazing job. They were very quick and they were very thorough. I can tell when things are clean. When I rub my hand over surface. I can tell if it's been dusted and treated with Murphy's oil soap or if they've just been barely gone over they did a great job on my toilet and my shower And my kitchen which I thought was a disaster. After inquiring with numerous cleaning businesses on Yelp, I noticed how responsive and professional Henry, from Maria's Cleaning, was and quickly received a quote from them of $280 for a whole house deep cleaning. For reference, the house is roughly 1,000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Fast forward to the day of the house cleaning, Gala, our cleaner, was scheduled to arrive at 1:30PM. However, 1:30 came and went but no one showed up. We waited 5-10 minutes before I reached out and asked if anything was wrong. In fairness, Henry responded quickly and said there was an "unforeseen delay" and that she would be over in 5-10 minutes. Well, 10 minutes passed and still no one. Gala didn't arrive until shortly after 2:30PM, almost an hour after the scheduled time. Gala arrived and we helped her with her many cleaning supplies/equipment into the house, and she got right to work. She started with the bedrooms, and worked her way towards the front of the house. One slight problem was that Gala doesn't speak the best English and when my Mom asked her to focus on certain parts of the house, we weren't quite sure she understood us. However, she forged through and methodically went through the house. Gala probably didn't finish until close to 10PM, however, after she left we noticed a lot of missed areas, dusty corners/ceilings/walls, and some areas completely untouched. Honestly, we were surprised only one cleaner was sent as it felt more like a 2+ person job and as Maria's Cleaning wasn't the cheapest quote I received, I did have higher expectations for their services with a fee close to $300. He called and texted to keep me in the loop as he anticipated he was going to be running late. It turned out he was right on time. Communication goes a long way in this industry. I first came across this company on Groupon, and prior to purchasing the deal, I called and the company which advised they would honor Groupon pricing. In the end I paid $199 for 4 man hours. To me, $50/hour was the most I was willing to pay. But was 4 hours enough? Other companies quoted more.... I was trying to get my home ready to rent out. It's 4 bed/2.5 baths. Again, communication is important. When Bill arrived, we did a walkthrough of the home of what I wanted cleaned. He was very direct. What I originally wanted cleaned was going to fall short of the 4 man hours. He advised I can either purchase more time, or he can focus on the trouble areas of the home, to get it to the standard of clean for renting. On a budget, I opted for the latter. In the end I got 3 toilets scrubbed (hard water stain ring completely buffed out!), the Master bath scrubbed (which needed it badly as hubs and I used this tub to clean up paint brushes we used for interior paint), master shower glass door scrubbed (hard water again was thick on the glass), kitchen stove, microwave and oven cleaned. Here's where I feel a tad off about my 5 star review. I know it may sound like a lot, but part of me feels just a little bit more could have been tackled. Bill and his partner began work at 230 (2 o'clock appointment, with a walkthrough and discussion of areas to be cleaned). The work was done when we arrived at home after an errand at 415. Bill walked me through to show me the work and I paid him at 430. Basically, I feel work should have continued up to 430. I know, only 15 minutes, but that is actually 30 minutes with a two man crew. Something else could have been knocked out, i.e. the door frame of the glass slider could have been cleaned, as Bill mentioned would have been if they had the time. Despite that one complaint, this is a good, hardworking company. Of course, there's a small area of improvement, which ultimately I feel is a learned lesson on my part to make sure I'm completely satisfied prior to paying for the service.
