PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MICHELLE'S POST TO HEART. Skeptics of Chiropractics are out there and they know nothing of the spine and it's many degenerative conditions. Nobody, and I mean nobody, should leave their lives in the hands of the ignorant. Your spinal health should be left in Dr. Zuchowski's hands. I'm a brand new person because of him! I met Dr. Zuchowski at the local farmer's market on Santa Teresa Blvd. back in August 2015 while suffering from a major spinal injury. This injury went unchecked for a few years prior to this heavenly meeting. Quite honestly it was on the way to the restroom when I met him - with this condition I had to evacuate near every half hour with massive amounts of blood from you know where - so I hurriedly filled out his information page and saw him the next day. "What was I thinking?" I thought walking in - I've seen these ding bats before and it was always the same hustle but him and Mary changed my mind. We did a few X-Rays (yes, they were fuzzy) but I had done enough research about the spine to have an understanding of the nueronetwork and how each nerve is connected to your spine and each part of that spine regulates certain other parts of your bodily functions. It's not rocket science! Now we figured my condition was pretty far along and we both knew that there was a slim chance of curing me, but we could slow it down and that, honestly, was all I needed. I wanted my LIFE back. I didn't want to be bed ridden, in level 10+ pain, be ridiculed by my friends and family, and to just stop feeling the good for nothing HORRID PAIN. And I mean, destructive, degenerative pain though by ENTIRE body. I had lost everything because of my condition and I barely had enough money to pay but we made an agreement on the Wellness Program of his. We started out slow, one day it was one part of my body. Then we would slowly move to a new part of my spine. And then, the main part of my lower spine and boy howdy lemme tell ya I felt like warm water gushed down my body IMMEDIATELY and I grew a couple inches. NIGHT AND DAY! I had to see him multiple times a day, 5-6 times a week. HE GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK!!! After my first month I went on a ROAD TRIP. I WENT CAMPING!! I WENT TO THE BEACH! I even went on a small hike when I couldn't even walk across the street without my meds and sheer pain. Each day, each week, each month got better and better. I was remembering things, speed reading, working...omg... the pain was gone, I could sneeze and cough and use the bathroom without FEAR OF SEVERE PAIN! I went on walks, I was able to enjoy a love life like any young person could, and I was able to get away from being bedridden and AFRAID. Dr. Zuchowski helped me get my life back and he genuinely feels an real life duty towards his patients. He showed that with me and I enjoyed EVERY visit, our many talks, debates, and all the laughter we shared. Even just hearing him banter with his other patients was therapeutic. I stopped seeing him prematurely mid summer 2016 because my living situation drastically changed and I wasn't able to live in CA anymore. My condition did return after four months of travelling and experiencing a very harsh winter in a new environment. However, my condition is NOTHING like the horrid misery that was my life before I met Dr. Z. Let me reiterate that we both knew curing my advanced condition was slim to none and that slowing down the degeneration was a reality. Even though I am still suffering from my condition I am still able to continue living my life in a way that would have never dreamed of. If I didn't see Dr. Zuchowski I would have no use of my legs and a slave to misery. If I could give him a trillion dollars I would pay him twice and tell him to keep the change. read more

Zuchowski is by far the worst chiropractor I have ever been to. I'm going to avoid sugar coating and let you know he's quite the jerk. I knew it was mistake when I overheard him talking disrespectfully about his customers with a couple of his friends like they were still in high school but I still went through with it. I left in worse shape than before and plan on never seeing this man again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs, literally any other chiropractor in the Bay Area is a better option. read more

From the start it feels to good to be true, most times in the medical field you get that. The first session I felt more relieved of pain than i have in 20 years. Hospital visits only got me Pills and Bills, seeing Dr Zuchowski has given me a way better chance to walking, standing, and just all out enjoyment with my Family. Most people will judge by the way they see things, or by what they hear or feel. My statements are purely through performance, and the pain relief I know feel. I highly caution anyone going to visit Dr Zuchowski. I accompanied my 80-year-old grandmother to see Dr Zuchowski last week. She had responded to his full-page ad in the Mercury News. This appointment was to review the evaluation he conducted the week before and to share his recommendation. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and brought to a waiting room where we watched a video on the importance of the doctor-patient relationship. I found it interesting we watched a video on this vs. having the conversation in person, but I kept an open mind. Once we met with Dr Zuchowski, we were shown the results of her exam, along with two extremely fuzzy xrays that had been taken. He outlined the issues he saw in her xray and told us that the curvature and degeneration in her spine had nothing to do with her age. He also proceeded to tell us that the bone spurs she had on her vertabrae, along with degeneration could be completely cured. Here is where my skepticism began. I questioned the safety of having adjustments made to an 80-year-old woman that is three months into a compression fracture in her back (2nd one) as well as extensive osteoperosis. I was assured that this would not be an issue. I was told several times that he "didn't want to sound arrogant, but that he knew more than medical doctors when it came to the spine". After leaving our consultation twice to perform adjustments on patients, we were then presented with his 6-month treatment plan that would run roughly $4,000. He said he could start right away with her paying in full with her credit card. We left the appointment and I followed up with several doctors and physical therapists that all agreed that spinal adjustments on a woman in her demographic were a bad idea. Even though he doesn't have a website, published papers, or reviews, Dr Zuchowski claims to be very popular. There may be others that have found him helpful, but I found our experience extremely unsettling. I hate to see people taken advantage of, especially senior citizens. read more

Dr. Paul is a chiropractor who took the time to explain how and why I have suffered from migraine headaches for years. My elderly mother was also drawn in by a full page ad and then purchased a "package" (which was in the many thousands of dollars) for chiropractic services from Zuchowski. I attended the consultation meeting and was skeptical about his claims to be able to return the feeling to my mothers hands, give her relief from leg twitches at night and reduce her discomfort from a degenerative spine issue. When we viewed the x-rays he noted that my mother has a pace maker which she does not. I am fairly confident that the x-rays he was showing us were not my mothers but he very slickly moved past that issue claiming that she had to have wires in her somewhere because these were most definitely her x-rays. She, unfortunately and against my expressed concerns, still wanted to begin treatment with him. She went 2-3 times a week to have him use a device on her back that delivered a thunk with a rubber stopper. As far as I know, he never did any significant manipulation of her spine. He would combine two treatments each time she went. She went for several months with the only benefit being a bit more feeling in one of hands, she thinks. Zuchowski uses references to God in some of his correspondences and while I have no issue with anyone having a relationship with religion and God I do become suspicious when that relationship is used in the context of a business and the selling of a service. It was just another red flag for me that he was manipulating my mother for his own gain as opposed to treating her (and he made sweeping and grand promises regarding the benefits of his treatments) pain and discomfort. I would join the previous reviewer and caution anyone from seeking treatment with this man. read more

Basically, he told me why I was experienceing the upper back and neck pain that I had, what he could do for me and how much it would cost. Very straight forward and direct. Not pushy at all as other reviewers have stated. The best part is that I have gotten major relieve from my pain and also have seen other health benefits (more energy for one!) He has a very gentle technique. I've been adjusted by a number of chiropractors and know that adjustments can vary quite a bit. When I started my care a few monthly ago, his office was celebrating his 30th year in practice! At the time I thought, wow, that says a lot right there! Our family has been to Dr. Zuchowski for the last 9 months. He and his staff are friendly and caring. The initial cost is expensive, but he gives excellent discounts for bringing in more family members that, as was needed in our case, make the package plans more affordable. We have been happy with the chiropractic care we have received. I had a sharp back pain that prompted the initial visit that has gone away and my husband has suffered from multiple back injuries over the years from his work. He has not had any back injuries since starting with Dr. Z . He sincerely cares for his patients and their families. read more
