i went here to see Dr. Chambers this morning. very friendly staff. Sonia was very nice and sweet. Dr. Chambers was very attentive and took his time to listen to my problem. I felt welcome. I thought my insurance wouldn't cover but Sonia volunteered to check it out and to my surprise I had coverage. I walked in with a very sharp pain on my left leg. Dr. Chambers adjusted my lower back and applied an electronic muscle stimulator. I walked out with no pain at all. I will return and be a regular. I love coming here! It's a small office but it is run well and is always clean. The front desk is always very friendly as well. Dr. Chambers is always very welcoming and upbeat. He will talk with you to learn more about your lifestyle and of any issues you may have. From there he treats you based off of what you need done whether it be an adjustment or using one of his machines. Dr. Chambers made me feel very uncomfortable during my visit and I will not be coming back. I came because my husband recommended him, but honestly now he will not be getting either of our business. When he was doing the initial exam, his hand grazed from my back down along my thighs to pull my feet, which was totally unnecessary. When he finished one adjustment and asked me to turn around, he would do so by tapping the side of my butt, again totally unnecessary. I have been to many chiropractors and no one ever did that. If a male chiropractor needs to manipulate a certain area on my body, they would usually let me know and ask for permission first. Not Dr. Chambers. He used a muscle stimulation machine on my neck which required a gel barrier. When that was done, he used a towel to wipe off the gel, but then proceeded to use his bare hands, reached under my collar near my bra strap to spread the remaining gel around. He could've just passed me a paper towel and let me do it myself, or told me beforehand that that was what he needed to do. But no, he went on to intrude my space. After I left the office, I told my husband about his weird grazing and tapping on my butt, and asked if that was his experience as well. Of course he said no, and he admitted that was weird as well. Other than the doctor's inappropriate behavior, his techniques were not the best either. My husband and I both came out worse than before in our back and neck. He was way too quick and strong handed with the neck area. I've been to plenty of chiropractors and am pretty confident to say that this was the worst experience, in both the doctor's technique or bedside manners. read more

Dr Chambers and his two assistants Kimberly and Sonya are awesome. I went here for 5-5 1/2 months and it was always a pleasant visit to the chiropractor! Kimberly is super sweet and friendly. Sonya is very helpful and knowledgeable with insurances/lawyers. Dr. Chambers is a great chiropractor. He starts with asking you how you're feeling and which area of the back hurts. When he doesn't ask, he can already tell which area is more stiff and in pain. He then does the spinal and neck adjustments and then do the biofreeze treatment/muscle relaxer or a massage. They both are nice. Some days you just need a massage while others it's nice to target just the neck area after a long day of work and overtime. We always talked about weekend plans and restaurant reccomendations! He's a golfer so he goes to Capitola, Tahoe, Monterey, and he's everywhere. He misdiagnosed me and wanted more money. First and final visit. I came in with lower back pain. Reception didn't seem to care about anybody striking up a conversation. They seem to just want to schedule appt, take money and move on. As for the doctor, he asked me a few questions, did the usual adjustment with crossing my arms and his hands on my lower back to crack my vertebrae. showed me some back exercise and wanted to schedule more appointments immediately. He also slapped my ass to flip me around...twice. I did the exercises for a week, didn't help. I had a free personal training session at work. She diagnosed me with a hip problem. Show me ways to strengthen the core hip muscle, not just stretches. Within a day, the pain was completely gone. Overall, this office just want you in an out quickly (my visit was 10 minutes) and collect your money. read more

I didn't know that my back, neck, and shoulders could crack so much and so loudly. It startled me at first, but it feels really good! I'm not even exaggerating, but after the first visit, my back pains were gone! I still have tense shoulder issues, but that has been improving as well. The staff is courteous and friendly. Asked a bunch of questions on what/when/where/why.how I was feeling and doing the things I was doing. He was very informative. Sonia, the Receptionist was super nice as well. I pulled my back after improperly lifting some heavy boxes and was in so much pain for a couple weeks. I found Dr. Chambers on yelp and decided to pay him visit since his office was very close to home. Dr. Chambers and all his staff were very friendly and after the first visit my back was feeling much better. Each visit he added something new to my therapy and after the third visit I was feeling like new. Definitely recommend visiting him if you're in pain or just in need of an occasional adjustment. He's very friendly and personable. The whole experience has been pleasant and I actually look forward to my visit. After years of almost daily mountain biking, running and strength training - everything was catching up to me (age didn't help either). My hips and knee pain now prevented me from doing what I loved most. I'm taking away 1 star only because I have NEVER, and I say NEVER, seen Dr. Chambers wash his hands or use hand sanitizer in between patients. And I think that is so unhygienic and disgusting in my opinion. Otherwise, he's a pretty good chiropractor. He and his staff are very nice. I was very happy to find a good chiropractor near my house. I am able to schedule appointments before work in the morning, which is a great convenience. He explains what's going on and is very nice. I appreciated that he is taking care of the problem at hand and didn't want to take unnecessary xrays, etc., like a lot of chiropractors routinely do. I have gone and seen this doctor a couple of times and while I'm sure he's a nice guy outside of the office I found him a little off putting. The first couple of times he adjusted me I actually felt worse off then I did when I first went in. I thought maybe it'd take some time to get used to it but if anything the pain seemed worse when I'd get home from a session. I don't think he spends nearly enough to time with his patients, it's mostly for me less than 10 minutes before he's done, which I don't think is enough to time to really get into the root of the pain. If he was a little more light handed and spent more time on the appointments I probably would have gone back, as it is I'm looking for someone else to go to. read more

My entire family, extended family and many friends have been seeing Dr Chambers for years, and we love him. I began going when I was 19, and my back inexplicably went out. Not only did he "fix me," but he also put me through a physical therapy regimen to build back the muscles in my back. I no longer have those back issues, but now I go see him when I have problems with migraines. In addition, we take our children to see him. Skipping ahead 20 years, Dr. Chambers has treated me through a snow ski accident, an auto accident, 5 pregnancies, and a pre-existing chronic condition, scoliosis, which causes numbness and pain in my upper back. Dr. chambers office overall is a 4-star to me - since i work in San Jose i do go to my health practitioners here and they understand my timing and worked with me to make it work for me - that is tops in my list - i am in and out in usually 30 min. max - i have straightforward request and it is done. staff is not perfect but who is in this day and age - they are willing to work with me which i realize is tough to do and they can handle me - which all together makes this place a 4-star! read more
