Sue happy. I went to Paul after I had an accident and was experiencing whiplash. I was in excruciating pain. Life altering pain. It took me over two years to recover. During treatment, Paul charged me "insurance rates" (inflated rates) instead of his cash rates, expecting to get paid through my insurance. Many of the treatments were unnecessary and were used to pad my bill. The treatments did absolutely nothing for my condition and he had me coming so often that chiropractors I used after him told me that in fact, he probably made my condition worse. It turned out that my insurance wouldn't cover the treatments, so Paul sued me for a little over $4000.00. At the time of the lawsuit my ex husband had JUST filed for divorce, and drained my bank account so I had no money to my name at that time. I wasn't in an emotional state to really comprehend or contest what Paul was doing to me, I was still reeling from what had just happened and trying to keep my head above water to feed and house my kids. Paul didn't care what the circumstances were- this is his MO and he knows what he is doing. He sues people regularly. I had told him what was happening and begged him not to proceed- I just needed more time, but he wouldn't let up. I was too despondent, broke and out of sorts to fight him in court and so he then sent me to a collection agency, which attached a lien to my home. I tried to settle with him on numerous occasions- by calling and writing him directly and also communicating through the collection agency, but he refused. I wasn't able to pay until this year and ended up paying nearly double what the original, inflated rates were due to interest from the collection agency. The collection agency told me that Paul has numerous cases open and sue's people frequently. Paul is trying to defraud insurance companies by charging outrageous rates and scheduling unnecessary visits and then screws people by suing them for the money when insurance doesn't pay. Paul is an unethical person and I do not recommend that anyone use his services. read more

Very nice staff, quick response time for an appointment, great location of a beautiful office. I had been having new and odd symptoms and was becoming concerned that what I was experiencing did not match what I was being told by my doctors that it possibly was. I recently found Dr. Peters after searching for a nearby Chiropractor. He had great reviews so I thought I would go in for a consultation. Admittedly, I am a picky patient. I had regular, excellent chiropractic care from my teenage years through my mid 30s when my regular Chiropractor moved away. Close to 20 years have passed. Paul is a very professional chiropractor that also do orthotics/shoe insoles. I am an athlete that have been using different insoles through the years and the ones I got from Paul is one of the best ones I ever had. They are very comfortable and helps me run/walk in a more corrective way. If you have any compensations in your body this will help you. I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. For all my chiropractic needs, there is no one else I'd rather go to than Dr. Paul. He is always friendly, attentive and is able to get me feeling good as new for all my random aches, pains and headaches. He doesn't pressure you with ridiculous "plans" to make a profit... he just recommends that you come see him as needed, which I really appreciate (on average, I get an adjustment about every two weeks.) I recommend Dr. Paul to anyone that wants personalized chiropractic care from a genuinely good guy! The competition out there doesn't come close to his level of expertise. The massages here are equally fantastic. I received two massages from Micki recently and I couldn't have been more pleased with both experiences. I plan to sign up for their massage club soon! Lastly, Summer (at the front desk) is a wonderful addition to Dr. Paul's office. She is always smiling and is so welcoming. I've been going to Dr. Peters for more than 10 years. He's an amazing Chiropractor. He spends quality time with his patients explaining everything and answering whatever questions you have about your situation. He is thorough and invites you to come back later in the day if you don't feel well adjusted. Your health is his number one concern. He'll explain why certain adjustments or treatments may not be the best choice for your situation. This is a no pressure chiropractic office. I have always thought highly of Dr. Peters and this Monday he just exceeded my exaction again. I have been his patient for 15+ years. He knows his stuff, highly professional and always willing to help and answer your questions and he answers them the way you can comprehend without having a medical degree. This Monday I came in with my 9 y.o. son who had been having pain/uncomfortable sensation in his armpit right after his swim practices or tennis practices for the past 2 months. Neither swim nor tennis coaches knew what was causing that pain. I took him to pediatrician and she was "p[pretty sure" it was a strained muscle but she did not exactly which one nor what to do or not to do to get read of that pain. I could not be at rest until I know what was causing that and weather it is safe to continue swim and tennis practice. I asked Dr. Peters if he by any chance knew what could that be.... And wow! He examined my son, asked a few question, looked at the arm, asked to twist it, bend it , move it and he pinned the muscle that was in pain and he actually suggest what activity was causing that which was neither swimming nor tennis. Dr Peters is a great chiropractor! I've been going to him for years and recently I was reminded why it's important to keep up regular visits. A couple of weeks ago, after a strenuous hike, I suddenly developed a severe pain in my neck and shoulder; so bad I couldn't sleep and could not move without sharp stabbing pain. Dr Peters started with some gentle neck adjustments and the muscle stimulation on my shoulder; recommended hot moist heat compress around my neck. I've had limited experience with chiropractors and quite honestly i didn't have much faith in the profession. Until today. I had injured myself a little over a month ago and, prior to finding Dr. Paul, had been examined by my general practitioner as well as a different chiropractor. They were of no help, and I had somewhat resigned myself to a life where taking a deep breath meant being pain. But I decided to give Dr. Peters a chance, based on a specific recommendation where it was mentioned that he was a rib specialist. I called the office on a day they were closed, and he still returned my call that day. He also came in early on a Friday to make sure he could see me before the holiday break so that I didn't have to unnecessarily suffer for another week. After a very thorough exam, he identified where the issues were in my spine and ribs and went to work. It turned out that the reason it hurt to breathe was because I'd wrenched my spine out of alignment, and 5 ribs as well. When Dr. Paul pushed my ribs back into their proper place I cried, cussed, and almost puked. And then? And then... I took a deep breath! It sounds like such a small thing, but it had been weeks since I had been able to do that. I can finally rotate to my right, and touch my toes, etc, without pain or discomfort. Oh, I am so grateful! He also offered to help with my sinus congestion too... Which he did via some weird voodoo ear pulling magic. This man has changed my life. For the last two years I have had chronic nerve pain and have been pushed through nearly 9 different offices with the last four walking out wondering why I even bothered going because the doctor wouldn't listen to anything I had to say and made me feel like they didn't believe there was actually a problem. I was recommended to Dr. Peters through a friend and even though he knew I was not a Chiropractic candidate because of the nerve pain and verified by doing an orthopedic exam, took the time to sit and listen to me. He thoroughly listened to my fears and had me describe my pain and situation in detail to him to point me in the right direction and get me the help I so desperately needed. Before I left his office, with my permission, he called ahead to the Dr. that he recommended to expedite an appointment for me to be seen as soon as possible. About 10 years ago, Dr. Paul Peters was recommended to me by a work colleague. I had a great deal of back pain from an old car accident and work stress. I had tried 2 other chiropractors who help alleviate the pain; however, were never able to free me of all the pain. Dr. Peters was able to quickly diagnose the issues and provided the treatment necessary to alleviate all the pain. I have been seeing him ever since. Though I no longer work in Carlsbad and Dr. Peters has moved his practice closer to the coast of Carlsbad, both my daughter and I will make the drive out from San Diego to visit him when an alignment is needed. I make a point to visit him once a month. Please note to those who have never used a chiropractor before - Dr Paul Peters will alleviate the pain; however, through our motions in life like improper posture, bad sleeping positions and contortions we may put ourselves in when we play a sport, adjustments are needed as time goes on.
