Paul Davis came to my rescue after my home and belongings were severely damaged by flooding. I cannot say enough positive things about the crews who supported me during such a difficult and stressful time. My "dream team" -- Eric Markwald, James Stossmeister, Anthony Heald, and their crew -- truly deserve recognition bonuses for their exceptional skill, dedication, and workmanship. They worked tirelessly, often around the clock, to help restore my home while also assisting many others affected by the historic 2025 Milwaukee floods. Beyond their technical expertise, what meant the most was their kindness, compassion, and patience. They provided reassurance and support when I was overwhelmed, anxious, and facing the challenges of dealing with insurance adjusters while being displaced from my home and without my belongings. They guided me through every step of the mitigation, reconstruction, and insurance processes, always keeping me informed and confident that things would be made right. In the end, they truly delivered on that promise. read more

Paul Davis partnered with Milwaukee Public Schools to help out in emergency/disaster situations. Paul Davis executed an excellent response when we had the floods at the end of August. Chad Holland and Elaine Kleinhans made sure the communication lines were always open and they handled all the restoration/emergency response business expeditiously. Dealing with them and their staff was always in an upmost professional manner. If you are ever facing disaster relief, rest assured, Paul Davis will be there to help and get your life back to normalcy. I cannot recommend Paul Davis' team more. read more

This company is terrible. In June of last year I had a car drive through my building, the fire chief had contacted paul davis to come out and board the building up .the next day their representative named Austin contacted me and told me he could get everything done back to the way it was before the crash I told him I needed to here from the insurance company and I would get back to him.My adjuster gave him a breakdown of what they were going to pay for the damages he agreed that they could do the work for what the insurance company would pay it would only cost me my deductible I said are you sure he said yes .I put deposit of 15000 dollars down he told be everything would be done in 6 weeks this was September 3 they didn't start doing the Brick work until late October then the frames cane to frame the 2 walls in mid November they said the windows that Austin purchased was to big either they need a smaller windows or the brick work had to be cut to the size of the windows, they finally installed the windows in late December,I then told Austin I was finished with paul davis he said he understood. Today March 16 i get a invoice for work that wasn't done and charging me for their mistakes so I call Megan the person who sent me the invoice she said she would into it and call me back 2 hours later i received another email for the same amount they also put a charge for 4,782 dollars they called it overhead and profit read more

Thy fleeced my elderly Mother. They inserted themselves and created the illusion that they came with the fire department, which they did not. She hired them because of that. The cleaners were great! But the communication was awful. The people that did the construction of her kitchen did pretty shoddy work and it took MONTHS longer then what was quoted. It was a horrible, stressful experience! read more

This is a follow up to my posting of June 2021. Since that was posted, Paul Davis has put a lien on my home. During their mitigation Paul Davis would have team members have me sign on their iPads to proceed with any work, but I was never sent any contracts. It is my understanding that if a person never receives a contact for services, which legally explains everything, putting a lien on someones home is not possible. I like many here have experienced Paul Davis' unwillingness to restore the damage that had been done. I called the project manager repeatedly, but was told that he was on vacation "with his family". I do not think the project was big enough for them, so they left me to finish during a very difficult time. While working in my home Paul Davis placed the mattresses in the hall leaning against the railing. I did not know that they were seeping water from the ice damage.. The carpeting in that area was destroyed. When I contacted Paul Davis they said that would be sending someone to take a cutting of the fibers to be scientifically analyzed so they could determine what they would pay for the damage. As a response I sent them a quote for replacement and installation which they refused to pay. Last July I contacted the CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY and filed a complaint against Paul Davis. During that process is when Paul Davis filed the lien on my home. It was also during the filing of that complaint that the Consumer Protection Agency asked Paul Davis about their contract with me. It was then that Paul Davis admitted that they did not send me a contract "because they were having email problems". The CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY is now monitoring Paul Davis for a period of time. I did not ask about the specifics of that, but it was enough to know that they are watching. One additional point. The struggle to find help with projects has been constant. There may be a "contractors" network where companies complain about us. It wasn't until yesterday when an contractor came over and asked about my experience with Paul Davis, "out loud", that I knew something like that may be going on. Paul Davis writes volumes about themselves and anyone that has a complaint so something like this would not surprise me. My project took a year to complete. read more

Juan Perez at Paul Davis was so wonderful and responsive. He communicated well and had our basement dry and cleaned in no time. It was during a very hard time for our family and he was very respectful and kind as he coordinated all of the work. I would highly recommend this company. read more

During a major rainstorm we had flooding in our commercial restaurant space in the middle of the night. We called Paul Davis and immediately got a live person on the phone. Derek, their on call tech was on site within 30 mins and had a crew cleaning the mess within 2 hours. Because of their great customer service and response time, along with their through cleaning, our operation was back in business without delay. I would 100% recommend Paul Davis to anyone and plan on using them again in the future. 5 star service all the way. read more

I used Paul Davis to fix my house after an explosion. It took almost a year and a half (way to long). Communication and response times were terrible. I never felt like a priority to them. They also seemed to cut corners a lot and not complete jobs until I noticed and fought for the jobs to be fixed. In addition, I had windows replaced and now we either get ice on the inside when it's cold outside and/or huge drafts. This is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. read more

This company is TERRIBLE. They are awful in regards to customer service. They have strung my husband and I along for months with scheduling a repair to our house. The day before they were finally scheduled to start the work, we asked a few basic questions to confirm scope, etc. Unable to answer those, Paul Davis decided to tell us the next day they would no longer be able to do the work on our home and would refund our money. My husband and I are furious with the lack of communication, the likelihood that they had quoted a significant amount of work that they would not have done, and ultimately, how much time has passed. We could have had another company complete the work by this point. Ultimately, we consider ourselves lucky that they didn't complete the job with poor quality and/or start the work and not finish it. We will NEVER use this company EVER again.... they are a nightmare. read more

Working with this company has been a disaster at best. The communication is poor but the excuses are plentiful. We have come to figure out that they are not capable of completing a job with satisfactory workmanship. If you have flooding or a fire or any reason to have your home restored I would highly recommend going with anyone else! read more

They suck,,, the workers are awesome,,, management super sucks and are sketchy as fuck ... they claimed 4 feet and only took 2 feet and we still got mold growing all over .. and they were fighting over who had jurisdiction over the area that Handeld our house ... my room mate did clean out the wet rug in one day last time all alone..-no mold WTF!!! They scam the insurance Buisness would NEVER recommend read more

We had an absolute wonderful experience working with Paul Davis. Our project was led by Justin and Tyler. It was a pleasure to work with them and all of the subcontractors that completed and assisted in the project. One thing that I love the most about about the project was the organization and the communication which is honestly all you can really ask from any company. Justin provided us with google calendar invites that specifically outlined what would be done each day of the project for a clear timeline and and easy to follow overview. He was always responsive and on top of it. It was incredibly seamless. They were also very careful and clean ensuring mats were down to protect our floors when walking in and out the house, setting up a plastic wall to ensure all dust would stay only in the area they were working in. Any changes, we were immediately notified. They made time to come by often to check in on the different teams and explain things as well as ensured a final walk through was completed. Would highly recommend. Thank you! read more

If I could pick "zero" as a rating, I would. We had a fire at our rental property in Franklin, WI. Property is 100 miles round trip from our home. Representative from Paul Davis set an appointment time to look at the damage and never showed up. We called him to find out where he was and he sent a "text" back saying he was in a meeting. We traveled an hour to get to our property only to wait all day for a call back that we never got. The next morning, Paul Davis just shows up. We didn't want to deal with a company that can't even get their appointment dates correct or return calls, and asked him to leave the premises. We ended up with a wonderful Family owned restoration company that not only confirmed their appointment with us, but also showed up exactly when he said. Buyer Beware...I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

To sum it up - The Paul Davis crew gave an Excellent response to a problem I didn't want to have! We had a plumbing back up in our basement and our insurance company recommended using Paul Davis to clean up the mess. The team arrived quickly and efficiently went about their business. Not only did they clean up the immediate mess but also removed carpet, baseboard and drywall that were impacted by the water backup. They put in industrial dryers and came every day to make sure that the basement was dry before they removed their equipment. Special thanks to Sean Dembiec, Morgan Giles, Sam Rowen, David Esposito and Marcos for a great job. read more

We will never use Paul Davis again. The only thing good about Paul Davis is Moshe R. We had an emergency leak in our only shower in our home. Moshe and his team had our entire house dried over the weekend communicating the entire time at the end of mitigation i was told that a Estimator would be reaching out to me on Monday. This never happened. Moshe attempted to get someone to contact me, still nothing so i called and was told someone else that i would be called back..again NOTHING. I called again demanding someone call me back that day and finally Anthony our 'New' estimator due to "having more availability" came out to our home got the information he needed then continued to tell me it would be about a week to get numbers and everything straightened out with insurance. After a week of waiting i checked in- was told that he had a personal emergency that caused him to delay which i understand. We waited another week, still nothing going into week three of waiting for numbers we threatened to find another company and got the excuse of "hes been busy" we finally get numbers at 8 pm at night and still not what we asked for! We still have not had rebuild start on our home and this happened April 1st. We do not have a working shower and a huge hole in our living room of our home during a pandemic and have had shit for communication. Paul Davis Customer Service is crap for being such a large company. You made it very clear that our project was last priority read more

We used Paul Davis to fully remodel our kitchen and half bath. We were very pleased with their level of professionalism, attention to detail and ability to keep on schedule and in the realm of our budget. These guys were delightful to work with and I would recommend them to others. Although my job wasn't huge, it was one needing high quality experience in working with plaster and plaster ceiling cornice. My insurance company shared Paul Davis had the experience and skills and coordinated them contacting me. Senior Estimator Tom VandenBoom was professional and worked with my insurance company all through the process. Scott my Project Manager coordinated the crafts involved and Brooks, the Construction Manager was actively involved. Together they immediately addressed and managed any concerns and questions I had. Overpriced, slow, terrible communication. We used them for a family room remodel that took 2 months which should have been done in 2 weeks. The people they contracted were mediocre-at-best in quality and communication. Their own communication horrible. During demolition they put a hole through our wall to our garage. Some drywall some electrical work and some baseboards the cost was ridiculous. Unfortunately when we bid this job out they were the best priced at the time which was sad. We got our own Fireplace People we got our own floor people all they did was drywall, tile and replace a couple of doors. I would definitely avoid this company for any type of remodeling project. They're known for water restoration. That's what they should stick with, but from other reviews I have read of that , they might want to change their business there too!! We never had them do anything for water damage so no review there. Remodel projects stay away from this company!! read more

I can now say something positive about about Paul Davis. My new project manager, Tim, came in and met with me to review the work and get a feel for what needed to be fixed/finished. It took them only three partial days to correct the errors and they did a great job. The carpenter fixed the doors and his work looks great. The drywall looks like it is new again and the gentleman responsible for the good work was very pleasant to be around. This is what I would expect from a company like Paul Davis. I can say I wish I would have had this crew from the start and I believe my first experience was just a lemon. I am in sales and I know customer service trumps most things when it comes to customer satisfaction. Tim came in, recognized the errors and took care of everything in a very timely manner. That is what a good company does. read more

In January 2017, my home suffered water damage in my kitchen and dining room and also my basement. Paul Davis came highly recommended by my realtor. I met with Tim Purcell and Chris Bartholf was introduced as the project manager. Service and professionalism were exceptional. I felt right at ease leaving my house in the hands of theses "strangers" while we were relocated to a hotel. I was never uninformed and Chris was phenomenal!!!! This was the absolute best choice I made for a contractor and I highly recommend Paul Davis to everyone. Thank you Paul Davis, my house looks better than it did before the water damage. On June 13th, my tenant accidentally left the water filling in the tub of the upstairs duplex. The water overflowed for hours until the tenants downstairs awoke to water pouring into their unit. My first call was to my insurance company. My second call was to Paul Davis Restoration. PDS took over and promptly began the process. Given the upper and lower units only had one bathroom, it was very important that the remediation process was quick. PDS focused on getting the highest priority work done so the tenants could move back in, while they completed the rest of the work. PDS worked exceptionally well with my insurance carrier to ensure there were no surprise expense for me when the job was complete. We had a recent flood in our basement and called several companies to come out to help remediate the damage. From the very beginning, the folks at Paul Davis were responsive and timely. Even though there was major flooding throughout the city (and state!), the crew at Paul Davis treated us as if we were their only customer. They showed patience and professionalism in answering all of our questions and they had a level of expertise and knowledge that gave us great confidence in their work. We had a fire in 2005 and their mistakes are still haunting us!! Horrible company don't let these fire truck chasers near your house! Put the tile in crooked had to do over, Told them to wait till we decided if phone and cable lines were to go underground or not, did it anyway. Our deck is falling apart horribly, the old deck was 30 years old and was in better shape! And a lot of minor screw ups! And now we are putting in new floor in bathroom. They put toilet in with no seal, has had a slow leak all these years, floor boards all rotton. They put new subfloor and tile on top of the subfloor and tile that was in the fire!! and now trying to get vanity cabinet and sink out but they glued to the wall,! are you fkn kidding me!!! so if you want your house fixed the right way hire somebody else!!! read more

My nightclub had a small electrical fire in the rear of the building. It happened at 4am on Wednesday morning. Within an hour, I had 5 sales reps from 5 different companies all promising the world on what they can do for my business and making sure we get back open promptly. So what does any good owner do before hiring someone? I decided to interview each company individually about their capabilities and timeline to get us ready for the weekend. One company promised to get a public adjuster, others were national companies. My last interview was the Paul Davis representative. We asked the same questions to all and the confidence behind his answers is what sold me. The Paul Davis crew showed up at 8am in full force with over 25 people cleaning the building. There was not a lot of fire damage, but there was a bigger problem which was the smoke. Besides the massive cleaning crew, they had HVAC, Electrical, and their aluminum frame door guy here. I am a very hands on owner and I wouldn't have even known where to start to take on such a massive project. During the course of the day, I met Chad and Ryan who were overseeing the ongoing army of workers. These two guys are on top of it and understand the seriousness of the projects they are working on. Every single promise that was made to me was kept to the fullest. Even though we have business interruption insurance, it is much more important for us to get back open without missing a day. With Chad & Ryan managing the project, the massive crew they devoted to our project, we were back open and ready for business by Thursday night. If you are reading this and have to decide on a company to do your restoration, please do yourself a favor and hire the Paul Davis Team. You can hand the entire project over to them and they will hand you back a completed project with time to spare! Thank You Chad & Ryan and the whole team! Sincerely, Sam A. read more
