Outstanding! We had a leak/flood into a wall caused by a different contractor doing plumbing on our second floor. Paul Davis showed up incredibly quickly and communicated every step of the way. Thankfully we were able to save the flooded drywall and remediate all the issues. Highly recommend! read more

On New Years morning at 12:01/AM a drunk driver drove through our bedroom!!! Doing serious damage to our home. On a recommendation from a friend we called Paul Davis and the Representative (Paul Battle) showed up within hours and got us secured and assured us that they would take care of all our needs. Once we felt with the Insurance "crap" Paul Davis got to work. Our point of contacts (Patrick Godcharles & Chris McDonald) couldn't have been more helpful in getting the job done. Response to our calls & texts were handled immediately. We couldn't ask for better service or care. All the permits and work was handled in a most professional manner with concern for us. Their mason did a fine job rebuilding our 2 destroyed walls. The crew that did all the stucco, painting, wood work and finish work were amazing and did above and beyond with detail. The only compliant was the electrician was a bit of an putz and needed to be supervised at all times by Patrick or Chris. Upon completion of our project there was not a single item on our punch list..... nothing!!! Our furniture and items were taken to a climate controlled storage and our bedroom furniture moved to the guest room... upon completion of the job everything was put back in place by their crew (Robert & James) in a most professional manner. We couldn't have imagined how our house would ever be back to normal... Paul Davis Restoration did exactly what they said they would do to get our home back for us. We highly recommend them. read more

Great company. Always efficient and very communicative through the whole process. At a time of a huge loss and kids wondering when we would be back in our house after the hurricanes, Paul Davis was there every step of the way. read more

We had to go with these contractors due to an insurance claim for water damage. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor. Project was supposed to take two months and it took eight months to install two floors and a cabinet. They had to reinstall the floor twice because it wasn't level the first time and still isn't level after the second time installed. I had to figure out which cabinet to get to make sure it matched the ones we already had in the kitchen.( they order the wrong one cabinet twice) At this point i just wanted them out of the house . The lack of communication, poor quality, and over knowledge was absolutely outrageous. I wouldn't never allow these people to due work on anyones home. read more

The company was handling a flood repair in a condo I rent, and luckily I had Paul Battle managing things. He was spot-on working with the insurance adjuster which made my life so much easier as I didn't live nearby. During the repairs, my tenant wasn't returning his phone calls. Paul's concern immediately went to my tenant's well-being and, at Paul's request, we did a well-check on her and regrettable found that she had passed. Paul immediately went into action and was on-site coordinating the required biohazard cleanup which was promptly done the next day. I highly recommend Paul Davis' services, especially when Paul Battle is working the case. read more

To Paul Davis Restoration: I can not express how satisfied I was with the professionalism of Zach and and his entire crew. They are the reason why I am giving the company five stars You are only as good as the people that work with you. read more

This company was very bad. They took 5 months to complete what should have been done in two. Their bill was padded with things they did not complete. They blamed the delays on the city but it was them not getting crews out that caused the delays. If you are a homeowner with a not big job they will put you off to work on their bigger jobs. They cannot be trusted. I will never deal with Paul Davis or any of its franchises after my experience with them. read more

We used Paul Davis a few years ago as a result of a fire that occurred in a condo in our building but not adjacent to us so we had minimal damage. Basically, one bathroom had smoke damage that came in through the vents. The entire project was a disaster. Basically, they took everything (that was easy to move) out of our place and put it in storage. I had to fight with them every step of the way. It took months to get a list of non-salvageable items which didn't match the list they turned into the insurance company. When we got the check from the insurance company for them, we could not figure out how it was so much (around $35,000). Neither Paul Davis or the insurance company wanted to give us the actual invoice. Once we got it we found many things that were billed for but weren't done. We live in a 1100 Sq. foot condo and they claimed 11 oriental rugs, bar stools, love seats, etc. that were not in our place. They claimed 2 dump trucks to dispose of non-salvageable items that were actually in 3 small boxes left in our place, cleaning a sofa that was never moved from our condo and so forth. In the end they refunded us a negligible amount of money as I was" too difficult to deal with" and just dropped our belongings off to hire someone else to put our belongings away and to do the actually cleaning of the condo. They did store our goods for almost a year, but I feel that they pretty much made $3,000 per month to move and store belongings (and not the large ones). I will never sign an agreement with a company like this again if we ever experience an insurance claim in the future. read more

Had a kitchen fire in our Town House rental, and $50 K later (thru insurance) the job is done ! The entire place had smoke damage, the kitchen needed a total replacement. Paul Davis of Clearwater did GREAT work , with GREAT subs, and a team of very professional staff. The "A" team as I call them were: Chris and Kathy Wiggins (co-owners), Pat, Tim, and John (all staff). These are the people to ask for if you need the services of Paul Davis. There is a reason they have been in business for over 30 years under the same owners !! I received no considerations for this posting and am indeed just I happy customer. Really bad experience. They sent a VP out to do an initial estimate for the buildback on some water damage. He measured and took pictures and then NOTHING... And I mean NOTHING, for close to three weeks. I called and asked for a call back several times over the three weeks, but no one called back. Finally, I said that if I did not hear back from them I would have to complain to my insurance company. They called back then, but acted put out and irritated at my desire to get the damage fixed. Getting this bad service from a VP gave me enough of a bad vibe to take my business elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. read more

One of the worst companies I have ever used to do repair work in my home. I will never use this company again, and I would advise everyone else to steer clear of this company. I wrote my review at the Better Business Bureau and boy did I make the lady that owns this company mad. This is a franchise and not all of the owners are dishonest and have very bad work ethics. I realized that I wasn't the only one that wrote a bad review of this company there was another man that wrote a bad review and the company did me the same way. I would suggest that you go to the Better Business Bureau. And if you have issues with this company write them there as well, because that is where it hurts. My story is long and of course I got the attention of the owner and she wrote a rebuttal and lied through her teeth. I tell you whatever you do don't sign the insurance check over to them. Pay as you go. That way you have the power. And if the work isn't done right then you get to tell them what you expect. They never did a final walk through to see if the work was complete or anything. These people are shady so whatever you do don't trust them. They ripped me off and my insurance company. They make the appearance of looking and acting professional but once they get the money in hand they do as little as possible. read more

This business is a complete rip off. Terrible craftsmanship, communication, and timeliness of completion of work. Took company 10 months to remodel a bathroom caused by mold. STAY AWAY!!! read more

We could not be more pleased with the work and attention to detail by Paul Davis Restorations. We had what appeared to be a relatively minor situation with a roof leak that led to mold. Paul Davis inspected and reported its findings to our insurance company. That company - USAA - immediately approved the findings and recommendations so work could start promptly. Additional, substantial damage was discovered, investigated, reported on and plans for repair were submitted. That work also was done promptly, carefully and efficiently. The major problem was in the ceiling over the master bedroom. Paul Davis built a separate room within the room with heavy gauge plastic. A vacuum was kept running in the little room so no dust got into the rest of the house. Drapes, ceiling fans and light fixtures were removed. The ceiling and walls were repainted and the carpet replaced. All while we continued to live in the area. Throughout the process unforeseen problems occurred and were resolved quickly and cheerfully. Chris Wiggins, president and his crews were friendly, professional, courteous, experienced and extremely competent. The majority of the men who worked on our house are long time employees who are completely satisfied with their employer. The work they do reflects that satisfaction and a desire to do as Chris told us repeatedly is his goal - a satisfied customer who is pleased with the results of his company's work. We cannot recommend Paul Davis Restorations too highly. If you want to discuss this recommendation in more detail, please get our telephone number or email address from the company. I'll be glad to talk to anyone about our experience. read more

I had a flood in my condo from a ruptured water heater on my first floor. I was gone all day and came home to a ruptured hot water heater. I was lost and didn't know what to do, except I called my home insurance carrier. They helped me find a clean up company that night, to come and suck the water and put blowers in place. Next, I was referred to this company and they came to view the damage and gave me an estimate. My insurance company approved them and sent me two checks for them. I decided to go with Paul Davis from the CLW office. I could not have been more happy. They took care of everything: I picked out the floor, paint and they told me to call when I was ready. I had it done while I was away and when I returned, the job was done perfectly. Tim O Connell was my contact person in charge of the project. He was a kind man and easy to get along with and was my right hand in helping me get my condo back to living condition. Hands down, this company was the best I have dealt with. read more
