Noah a service technician came out to my house and hung an 85" inch TV. Noah represents Mr. Handyman superbly . The job went exceedingly well and he was very professional. read more

Both Archie & Scott have been amazing! Everything is done perfectly & they can fix/install anything!

Did an outstanding job on a small project. They're expensive but you get what you pay for.

Had them come out and work on a few projects. My patio roof has wood panels that were coming off, thought I had a leaking pipe in shower, a piece of siding was coming off they fixed previously, and I asked the to replace staples in our blinds that had come off. They determined there was no leak by pulling off the baseboard and showed me it was dry. Easy enough. Couldn't determine the cause for the patio roof, said they had to come back with one more guy. They fixed the blinds but they since have come undone. They fixed the piece of siding I paid them previously to fix. They charged me over $700 for this work. The only thing that is different from before they came out is the piece of siding that I had paid for previously. $700! I emailed the owner and he said he would credit me for the siding but hasn't responded to two follow ups. I feel very cheated. Buyer beware. This is a response to response from Kirk. I never asked for a credit on the soffit repair. Your estimate was over twice as much as the next estimate. You said you would fix my blinds since I paid you for it and they came undone, and your would credit me for the siding. I have your email! Yet you ignore two follow emails. What exactly did I pay you $700 for? To make matters worse, you left with my flip flops and left yours. I don't know how you stay in business either. read more

I hired this company to check for a possible leak in my upstairs bathroom. They gave me no clear diagnosis and instead pushed an overpriced quote for a full bathroom remodel. I asked for just a tilling quote- they said they'd follow up but never did. Now I'm stuck with and $80 charge for a visit that provided no value. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

I cannot say enough about how great this company is. The technicians. Archie and Deon are incredibly hard-working and put so much care into the work they do. They have gone above and beyond to fix things for me. I feel the whole company as a whole is very professional and are wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them. I wish them the best of luck. read more

Set up an appointment with a $99 required consultation fee to fix drywall. The fix involved replacing about 6' of drywall tape in a ceiling. Day before arrival they left a voicemail saying our appointment was scheduled by the wrong group and someone would be in touch. As we were expecting family to arrive for an event we didn't have time. I started the work myself. I replaced the drywall tape and did the first coat of drywall compound. Then we get a call confirming they will be here tomorrow. I explained that since the voicemail said it need to be a different group that we didn't have time so I already started the work. They could not explain why we got that call but said they would look into it. Even though, we were told we are still obligated to the $99 fee. I said fine, and send someone out to try and make the best of what has happened. With the progress I made on my own, all that was left to do was 1, maybe 2, top coats. I thought my $99 should come close. I had already sanded and even left my scaffold set up for them and the floor tarped. This should have been an easy job. He quoted me $400. I said no a lot of the work was already done. I asked if he could just do one top coat and nothing else. I'd even do my own sanding. This should have have taken 20-30 minutes as the repair was only over about 6' of tape. He dropped it to just under $200. That seemed unreasonable, so I said no again. Got stuck paying the $99 because someone in their office made a mistake. I can't recommend these people and will never contact them again. Date of experience: August 01, 2023 read more

Had an appointment scheduled at 10am. No one showed and no one called. I called and was told the tech had some sort of car trouble. We rescheduled for 12:00 the same day. Another no show and no call. I've now wasted several hours of my day, including a 35 minute drive twice. read more

If you wanna spend the most absurd amt of money for a handyman then use this company. The quotes me $1100 to install two medicine cabinets in my master bathroom. Another reputable company did it for $140. They quoted me $879 to hang pegboard in my garage my guys did it for $175. BEWARE. PRICE GOUGING. read more

I always call Mr. Handyman and ask for Steve because the work is impeccable and he is always on time and reliable and friendly! I will not call anyone else from now on read more

Bad experience. Hired them to fix a plumbing issue which they did not resolve, but nevertheless charged me for. Made an appointment with them to fix the problem again and drove 60 miles to the site. They didn't keep the appointment, and they gave me lip on top of it. Of course if you cancel an appointment, they charge you a cancellation fee. read more

On time, courteous. Extremely efficient. did great work. asked for a cabinet specialist and that is what they delivered!

the worst company to work for or do business with. They over charge for all services. They treat their employees horribly. Very high turnover in the office & field personnel. Good luck if you ever do business with them!!! read more

Once again, Mr Handyman provided excellent service. This company hires reliable, dependable, knowledgeable and efficient technicians. I highly recommend them. read more

Can't say enough about their excellent customer service and work product. Met Al the owner and he stands by his product....great team!!

Two polite men showed up as scheduled to repair the ceiling requiring sheetrock and texturing. The work was good from my perspective. They completed the job in the time they had estimated. The best part is they cleaned up everywhere including the stairs they used to get to the 2nd floor. read more

Today I paid $593.98 to replace 2 boards on the side only of my soffit. They were only 8 inch by 12 foot. I will not be calling them again. read more

Do you love taking off time from work waiting on a service provider? How about 2 days? If losing pay and never really knowing if the service provider is going to show up, then Mr. Handyman is the company for you! I had an 8 am Monday appointment so by 9 am the technician was an hour late. I called to find out where Mr. Handyman is. They rescheduled me for Tuesday at 8 am. Really? No one called. They sent an email. Only 3 hours pay lost. Tuesday morning, 8 am. No show. Wait until 9 am to call. The technician is at his 2nd appointment already. I was the first and he didn't show up. Skylar will call the technician to get him over and hangs up. I call at 11 am. Oh, the technician will be over after noon. I call at 1:30 pm. He's on his way. I cancelled this no show after loosing another 6 hours pay. Sitting around all day waiting on a no-show technician is not my cup of tea but if its yours, Mr. Handyman is the one for you! read more

This is a great company, they answer phone calls & emails, they send you a picture of the worker that is on his way. The workers keep you updated on everything they are doing and why it needs to be done. The workers arrive on time and they work they did not take a lot of breaks in order to stretch out the job. I will definitely use them again should the need arise. read more

BEWARE RUN!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!! They quoted on 3/6/20 $589.00 to repair a retaining wall in front of our porch. They were scheduled to come out 3/18/20 to complete the job and instead they emailed me another quote of $6,249.00. I contacted their office on 3/20/20 and spoke to Skylar and she told me that the quoted was based upon the pictures I sent her. Who quotes a job based upon pictures? They never went to look at the job, what? She further said that they charge $60.00 if they have to come out to give quotes. She absolutely never told me that initially. She further said that they did not charge me the $60.00 service charge on 3/18/20. Boy, how nice of them!!! RIP OFFS!!!!! I GIVE THEM ZERO STARS!! If anyone has experienced this bate and switch tactic with Mr. Handyman, please post your information because this could be unfair & deceptive trade practices and class action could be pursued. read more

Mr Handyman - Handyman Near Me - Tampa, Florida

I hired them to install three door frames. They installed the door frames but they did not install the door knobs. They gave me a song and a dance about how expensive it would be and showed no interest in fixing the situation. Later their customer service person called me to argue about my complaint. She was very sarcastic rude and hung up on me. It was pointless conversation since she had no interest except to argue that I was wrong about everything. Avoid these people. read more

I've used Mr. handyman on a couple of occasions and they're the only Contractor I'll go with. They're not the cheapest but they do the best quality work of anyone I've worked with in the seven years I've lived in Tampa. They were prompt, professional, and the work was done to perfection. if they find additional issues during the job they always come to you and provide an estimate, with photos or show you if you are on-site, so you can decide on what you want them to do. Once you decide, they'll execute the work that you tell them to do with no hidden fees. i've had nothing but excellence in my experiences with the company. read more

We had to have shower doors fixed, fixed a door frame, holes in the wall repaired and home security cameras installed. Demetrius showed up within an hour and was courteous, polite and honest. Rates are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. He was awesome. Will call on him again read more

We have used this service more than a few times this year and we are very pleased with the service. Scott has been our Handyman and we would refer him to anyone. Friendly, safe and knowledgeable. He is very efficient and provides good value for what the price of the service is. We are very pleased ! read more

company gave me a quote that was barely acceptable and I agreed. however they subcontract the work out to other people that need to inflate the price as well so $100 job turned out to be a $500 job read more

Excellent technician, knowledgeable, polite, friendly and did an excellent job on my repairs

I would not recommend this company for anything electrical. I had a very poor technician sent to house. I feel he had no clue what doing. Took many hours too long (which you are paying by half hour). For example when a nail not moving, instead of getting some WD 40, wasted much time "trying to loosen". I had to tell him how to do projects. I had to have someone come back to house to correct issues. I feel like over charged by many many hours. After my experience I would not use company for anything else. Owner listened to my issues. Sent someone to fix problem but I still feel over charged. I asked for refund and was only sent a coupon for future work. If I could give a 0 star review I would. read more

This is the 2nd time I have used the services of Mr. Handyman. I was absolutely thrilled with the entire experience both times. They were on time, responsive, and totally professional. I had numerous smaller tasks and the tech went from one to the next seamlessly and completed them all in what I considered amazing time. I will call them whenever I need assistance and recommend them unconditionally. read more

Tech showed up as scheduled, took the amount of time necessary to complete all requested tasks. Tech was also mindful of my wife working from home so took extra steps to be as quiet as he could. Price was fair, ensured quality results. I will be using Mr. Handyman when the need arises. read more

Initially I rated the company a 2/5 because the handyman who made the initial repair did a poor job. I made the full payment and did not make a stink about it but let them know that the handyman they had sent out was not skilled in my particular project. The owner had his best handyman return to my place and to do the job correctly. So I'm very satisfied with the responsiveness of the company. Make sure you ask for Demetrius. read more

I am a widow. I moved and had big tasks to do, like hooking up my washer and dryer, plus other issues. Joshua was the best help I could have asked for. I installed grab bars in my shower. He installed a peg board in my garage for tools. He hooked up my DVR recorder for my TV. He hung metal lizards and owls in my lanai. There was nothing he could not do. Plus, he was a very congenial, personable guy. If you want someone who can do anything, please call Mr. Handyman and ask for Joshua. read more
