The Tecnician they…read moresent over was experienced and knowledgeable, although he did nothing but grumble and complain about how dirty it was- I told him that if was easy I would have rented a carpet cleaner at Safeway and done it myself for 1/6 the price. He was there an hour and a half and a sizeable living room and 2 smallish bedrooms were done for about 160. It had several small dark stains- paint drops and wax that I didn't expect to come out, but one lighter organic stain was still there when he left, and I was able to lighten it further with not much more than hot water and a towel. I think he got a bit lazy at the end as I had to leave for a bit. All I expect is do your best.

Belfor was brought in to clean up after a small flood, they did the demolition portion missing scope in the process.....working with crews that show up late if at all....then take more breaks than work...but they do not care as that portion is a lump sum....they work very rough and damage things which they take no accountability for....even though the project manager at the time "promised" to make everything good that was pointed out to them... could not rate them any lower....BEWARE

Doing work at my neighbors place, they parked in front of my driveway blocking me in. I asked them…read morenot to park there as its blocking my car and driveway. They moved they van a couple feet, still blocking my driveway. As I was removing snow off the driveway one of the guys came out .. asked him again to move his vehicle as they are blocking my driveway. And informed him of what a driveway looks like. As I'm assuming they have no idea as they still where parking in front of my driveway. He moved his van. Great. So as they cleaned out my neighbors house they walked across my property to get to there van. Lack of respect for other people property is incredible. Working at somebody else's house and carrying your garbage across another person's property. With the lack of respect they have for other people's property they maybe should reconsider there jobs. 0 recommendation for this company.

Our home flooded this summer and Servicemaster was dispatched as the emergency mitigation team…read more This is our story... Our initial phone call to file a claim reported that Servicemaster would arrive within 4 hours. They in fact arrived 28 hours later, after multiple phone calls to follow-up. The crew that arrived was exhausted from working on multiple claims, and stated such. No project manager accompanied the work crew and so inappropriate decisions were made (i.e. no drywall was removed, the carpets were left in place). Since it took over a day for a crew to arrive, my husband and I removed all of the items from the basement and removed hundreds of litres of water. We decided to do this as we had received no instructions from our insurance provider or Servicemaster. We went as far as to sort the items into wet and dry piles for easy cataloging. When Justin, the project manager arrived four days later (after multiple phone calls requesting he do so), he decided the initial mitigation was inadequete and directed that the carpets and drywall be removed. By this point a smell had started to develop. Interestingly, this decision occurred only after we, as homeowners, suggested we would be looking for a second opinion. Once the decision to complete more demolition occurred the crew worked efficiently. They left minimal cigarette butts on our driveway. We certainly would have appreciated at least a rough estimate before the demolition and listing of damaged contents took place. I think if we knew that every single door-stopper that was removed was going to be charged individually, we would have started doing some of these tasks during our 28 hour wait. Once our insurance adjuster received the bill we noticed several points of contention. Firstly, two significant charges were added that were not done: water extraction and lifting of the carpets. Those charges (totalling two thousand dollars) were removed. Many of the charges were rated at an after-hours premium. We are not disputing that the crew was there after hours, however, the crew came when it was convenient for their busy schedule. Our initial request for service was at 5pm on Sunday and the first crew arrived at 8pm on Monday. Had we been one spot higher, or lower in the list, the crew would have arrived during business hours and the cost to ourselves would have been significantly reduced. The fact that Servicemaster accepted more work than they were able to take on, and as a result we as homeowners had to pay premiums does not sit well with us. While trying to amend these issues, Sheena was exceptionally difficult to get a hold of, took days to return calls, and was unable to resolve our concerns. We are surprised that a company like Servicemaster has no concern resolution process. Sheena's response of "there is nothing I can do" and accompanying attitude have left us with a very poor impression of Servicemaster; so much so that we are investigating other way to bring attention to our situation. So far we have filed complaints with provincial and national bodies and are looking at other methods of warning people how easy it is to be taken advantage of by Servicemaster. We have also communicated with our insurance provider, TD, to recommend they reconsider their contract with Servicemaster.
