Buying the most expensive thing in your life; a house, shouldn't be taken lightly and you want to…read morefind a trusted and experienced house inspector. I researched home inspectors online before deciding to go with this company. The inspectors were all listed on the website and there was one in particular who was registered and licensed and his qualifications sounded very impressive so I called to book him. Our inspection was at 1PM and we arrived to find he was inspecting the exterior of the house with the realtor. We followed along throughout the whole process and it was methodical. He would go into each room and ensure things were working properly and also use his meter to determine moisture content. He started in the attic and ended in the basement. It's important to me as a home buyer to observe and understand what he was doing and appreciated when he explained things to us. We received a binder with photos and recommendations for improvements for each part of the house and also the garage area. There was one issue he found but could be fixed and we were able to use this to negotiate a lower price than when we offered. For the most important purchase in your home, you want to find a RHI who knows what he/she is doing. I felt the price we paid (almost $500) was worth every penny to ensure we were not buy a poorly built and maintained house.

Having seen another inspection company's report on the property we are selling, the difference is clear. The other inspection report was merely checking boxes (occasionally inaccurate) with very little written specifically about the house. Pillar to Post provides pictures of each deficiency identified, with specific-to-the house comments and recommendations. Thank you for your professional and quality work.

I called Mr Electric , after a quick google search. Within 10 minutes of calling, I got a call from their office and a technician would be dispatched soon. Another 10 minutes goes by , I get a call from Gabriel. He will be at my place in 14 minutes. And sure enough, he arrives and immediately went to the outlet. Once he unscrewed it, he found a wire that was fried. He instantly replaced the outlet and the cover and made sure everything worked before leaving. His advice.. and please do this .. UNPLUG space heaters or electric fireplaces when not in use.. it can overload the circuit - BIG TIME ! ( if i was not home, this could have been an electric fire ). Some advice he gave me that I pass on to you. Considering how fast the service ( time from calling to completed work was less than 90 minutes. ) was completed but the price was also very reasonable.. a lot less than what I figured. So if you need any electrical work done, I would highly recommend Mr Electric.
