And to my surprise they ended services because of a" legal matter" that they could've just told me at the beginning they mentioned it wasn't a problem at the beginning and all of a sudden they ended it because their manager told them. They could have just started with that from the beginning and I can go find somewhere else to go. If I would've seen the reviews beforehand, I would've looked into other places first and not wasted my time and energy. Also we would agree on a time and day and they would always try to meet sooner or would say that she has times in person available, which was not compatible with what I needed. From the beginning, it just felt like Jessica didn't feel like we needed the services and found a good excuse to remove us from therapy. Luckily, there are other places that are willing to help families and this is not the place. These therapist are just looking for a paycheck and not looking to help people.

Completely unprofessional. They also have no diversity, and they don't respect or support their own therapists. Most leave after their trial period, which leaves clients abandoned with no transition plan. My therapist told me in one session that she was leaving, and that was it no backup, no plan, nothing. I had to start all over again with a new person from scratch. This office is careless and unreliable. If you're looking for stability and consistent care, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. -5

I was in a broken home with cops arriving every so often to check in on the screaming the neighbors complained about. This was the beginning of my life long journey with insomnia. When I was 29, I had my first abortion which scarred me so severely that I wasn't able to go into my relationships that followed without residual fear. Relationships were terrifying. I came across a loving man who accepted all aspects of me including my fears, but he got be pregnant during a time that neither one of us could afford to keep the baby. I decided to do an open adoption. This was by far the hardest thing I'd ever done and thoughts of not wanting to live haunted me daily. I had no love left. Just fear, indifference and I was completely incapable of any kind of gratitude though I had much to be grateful for. I couldn't concentrate on reading or for that matter participate in conversation. Everything revolved around my sad cloud. Nothing could exist beyond it. All of this changed when I met Ann Vogal. I can't tell you how many books I've read this year. It's like an inner child woke up that was hungry to learn and is now capable of soaking in info like a sponge. My roommate and I have both noticed a huge difference in how I now can articulate events in detail. My attention span has improved so much that I'm now excited to participate in conversations and go to social events. I now love people with the ease that I haven't seen since before my childhood trauma's. I can go on and on. I am a huge believer. Yes it's expensive, but I feel it's worth it if you can become reunited to you full potential. It's the best ride you'll find at the carnival. Thank you Ann!

She explains the procedure and gently guides you thru it easily, I always felt I was in great hands. I feel my mind is clearer, and I have the ability to have more silence inside my head. The monkey that used to keep chattering is now a lot quieter. I can witness more around me than I could have ever done before. Its been a little over nine months now and I can still feel the benefits.

Long overdue review. She is the only therapist I've met, so I don't have comparison points. But she…read morecombines what are probably traditional therapist practices with awareness, acceptance, cognitive methods and even Zen teachings (without really calling it out as some specific practice - I learned some things she covered were a part of Zen teachings after I "Googled" them to learn more) - it's a great and useful mix. To me, she initially came across as a bit uninterested/judgmental/somewhat distant (as a couple other reviews mentioned) but I put that down to her personal style, i.e. she did not come across to me as some TV version of a warm, approachable, tell-me-anything therapist. But her expertise is evident over time.

I started seeing Rebecca when I was on Stanford Campus and she was working for the Counseling service there. I was having some personal issues which I won't detail here (nosy, aren't you?) and she helped me move forward with my life. I still check in with her when I'm having troubles and I've found her therapy very useful. Rebecca uses cognitive and behavioral therapy and really stresses mindfulness and awareness. I found this approach very useful. She's really good at arming you with tools that you can use going forward, rather than simple solutions to a current issue. As an added bonus she has later evening appointments which works great for folks with jobs and schedules that are hard to rearrange.
