I found Dr. Klein to be very judgmental and inflexible. Terribly disappointing and discouraging when one is trying to seek help.

I personally was very skeptical about therapy, especially after being unsuccessful in finding a therapist that was for me. We got so lucky, Kin being the first couples therapist we tried. His style of therapy was everything we needed. He never made the sessions feel one-sided. He always made sure to acknowledge both of our feelings but allowed us to understand each other. He gave us the tools to be successful in this relationship. We initially were seeing him every 2 weeks, then turned to 3, and 8 months later, we are finally in a place where we only need to schedule sessions as needed. We love how honest Kin has been throughout our journey. He held us accountable while not making us feel bad. I highly suggest Kin if you are seeking couples therapy :)

To me, Kin is both a therapist and a coach. He has such finesse that his feedback seems very genuine and supportive, and it makes me motivated to want to change. Another expectation you can have with Kin is he'll keep you honest and accountable, again, just like an athletic coach! He keeps it real and simple. For example, he doesn't just tell you to be more patient with your kids or be a better listener to your partner. Instead, he breaks it down for you so you know exactly what your blind spots are and what you need to do to achieve your goals. He keeps things concrete and practical so you won't get lost in the abstract. If you need a therapist, especially regarding your relationship, Kin is definitely the right person.

I was not happy with the way I was showing up for my child and desperately wanted to meet with a professional who could teach me tips and techniques to better manage my son's behavior. We were referred to Seesaw (and some other professionals). After speaking to a few, I felt that the fit was much better with Seesaw and Dr. Sabrina, who was very down-to-earth and easy to speak with. The philosophy behind Seesaw also resonated with me more, as it is really focused on kids of all ages with a varying range of services to accomplish whatever objective you have as a parent. We had an intake meeting, a regular virtual session, and then an in-person session where I brought our son to meet Dr. Sabrina. Dr. Sabrina walked us through some helpful strategies on how to respond when our son was acting up. Before and after each of our sessions, she would send over additional reading resources as a supplement. The first book she recommended "The Incredible Years" has actually been very helpful in helping to reframe our mindset as parents. We have already seen some success in our son is behaving and while we know there is still a long journey ahead of us, we feel much better prepared now to go down this road. After a couple of sessions, we felt like we had enough to work with as we were already starting to revisit the same themes and concepts but at least now I know that there is a resource to go to for any ad hoc behavior situations that arise in the future.

I've been to both Seesaw locations (this one and SF) and they consistently maintain a high level of…read moreprofessionalism while in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Dr. Gabel was available to kindly address and guide us through a tough time. Would come back again.

Finding a therapist in the Bay Area is hard. Our family needed a family therapist to help us out…read morewith some things we couldn't work through on our own. I was afraid that it would be hard to find someone who worked well with myself, my husband AND our very picky teenager. When I tell you that Ting Yi was the perfect fit I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Ting Yi is patient, a fantastic listener and she has a great talent for diffusing a situation when people get irritated with each other. I looked forward to our sessions every week. Ting Yi works to make the most out of every minute of the session and we always left feeling like we had accomplished something. Each of us genuinely felt heard and understood by her. She never chose sides or played favorites. She worked hard to help us learn to communicate with each other in a healthier way and to understand each other better. I can honestly say that because of Ting Yi's help we are getting along better as a family. During this crazy time where we have all been stuck in the house together in quarantine that has been priceless. Ting Yi also does individual therapy and we each had solo therapy sessions with her as well. Those sessions really helped me and I felt very comfortable opening up to her. My daughter who is a very private person also felt comfortable with Ting Yi even though as a teen she often has trouble talking to people about things that are bothering her. My husband also really appreciated the valuable help she gave him. Ting Yi's location is convenient for our family. Her quiet, comfortable office is located on Burlingame ave. We never had any trouble parking because her office is on the quieter end of the street. There are some great tea shops close by and we often enjoyed a little desert after our session. I would highly recommend Ting Yi to anyone seeking a talented therapist. Our time with her will help our family for years to come.
