Last week I decided to look on Yelp to see who yelpers recommended and filled out the contact info for Dr. Miller. Literally 2 seconds later Dr. Miller himself called and we made an appointment for the following week. Impressive! Dr. Miller's office is conveniently located right of the highway and right next to Old Orchard mall for those who love to shop (a little too cold for an outdoor mall today IMO). There is plenty of parking out front and he's located on the 3rd floor. He was right on time for my appointment and appears to be a one man show right now since he's on the hunt for a new receptionist. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be slowing him down. He took care of my foot issue (turned out to be a deep callous) and I wondered what took me so long to make the appointment. While i was there he also worked on a few other callouses, since he said he'd throw them in for free :). I also inquired about custom orthotics for my flat feet. He showed me some options and said he would check with my insurance to see how much they would cover. I plan to call back in a week and go down the orthotics route with him soon too. I asked what the #1 foot issue people come to him for and he mentioned an ingrown toe nail. My son had one recently that got better on his own, but glad we have someone to turn to if we run into a similar problem. He's good at what he does, very nice and fast. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes!

His front-desk person was friendly and efficient as she had been on the phone when I made my appointment. Dr. Miller was personable, thorough and attentive to my concerns. After a detailed examination, which included an assessment of the blood flow to my feet, he not only removed the calluses but also took care of other foot problems. The positive effect of his care was immediate. I highly recommend Dr. Miller to anyone in need of podiatric care.

Then things changed, more than the treatment David had been receiving for 2 years. The previous doctors took a wait and see what happens attitude. Dr Kalk immediately assessed the situation and began treatment that has solved the problem. Office visits are always friendly and helpful. The staff at his office is terrific. Knowledgeable and friendly. David has also recently had some skin cancer removed from his head leaving a large wound. Every time we have seen Dr Kalk, weekly since David's hospitalization, Dr Kalk inquires about the head wound and looks at it. The last time David was seen at the Northwestern Hospital dermatology surgery clinic, we were told to come back in three months. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Kalk except that I wish we would have found him 2.5 years ago. I sincerely doubt that David would have undergone the two years of trouble he had before meeting Dr Kalk, maybe not the 2 surgeries he had, and the 2 emergency hospitalizations for sepsis that almost killed David. Dr Jason Kalk, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent care, Dr. Richie is personable, knowledgeable, explains things well and takes the time to…read moreanswer questions.

I recently fell down a flight (well, specifically, missed three steps) of stairs. My foot swelled…read moreup to the size of a softball. At first, I went to an urgent care facility (which I will later yelp negatively about) nearby to get crutches. After about ten days, my swelling went down but I was still having problem with my foot, I decided to seek out a specialist. I looked up a few places online and decided to give Northwest Podiatry a try. The lady on the phone was very nice and even though they were all booked for the day, she was able to fit me in because I told her that I don't think I can wait another week to see the doctor in case I broke something. Dr. Halihan was my podiatrist. He was very nice and thorough in terms of making sure I didn't break anything. Furthermore, he didn't push any unnecessary examinations/test on me just so that they can bill my insurance (something that a lot of medical practices do). I went back this week for followup and again, he was thorough in examining. Overall, I had a pretty good experience with the practice.

The doctors in this office are horribly unprofessional. They bill exorbitant amounts for…read more"ultrasound therapy" and can barely put a cast on correctly. I had a cast put on three weeks after I had broken my foot and it was so loose I could fit my entire hand down the front of it and the cast had to be removed three days later. How can a physician be so incompetent?? Literally the worst office ever.
