My regular OBGYN is Dr. Gleixner. Love him- he makes you feel 100% comfortable and he's hilarious. They have added two new Dr's. which I had the pleasure of meeting, not under the best circumstances as I suffered a miscarriage and they were the one's on call- both very sweet and took the time to make me feel calm and explain everything that was going on to me. Unfortunately, my experience trying to locate him was extremely frustrating. When I first called to schedule an appointment, I was told he was on vacation. Later, I was told they had no information about him. Then I was told he was on medical leave and they didn't know when he would return. Finally, I was told he wasn't coming back, but no one could explain why. Throughout these conversations, I repeatedly felt pressured to schedule with another physician in the practice. Eventually I agreed because I couldn't find Dr. Gleixner anywhere else. While I can't speak for the other physicians, this practice is not the same as it was when Dr. Gleixner was there. If anyone knows where Dr. Paul Gleixner is currently practicing, or whether he plans to return to practice, I would sincerely appreciate you sharing that information. He was an exceptional physician, and I know many long-time patients would like the opportunity to continue their care with him.

He has always explained what is happening to cause my pain, provides options for treatment, and ensures that I know what I need to do at home to help take care of the issues. The office staff has generally been very good about greeting me when I come through the door. I've not had any issues with any of the staff. I don't feel disrespected or ignored. She storms in the room with two other people, barely introduces herself and doesn't introduce the staff accompanying her. Immediately grabbed my dad's foot and toe like she's in a rush and opens a scalpel and starts shaving off skin and then pulls his toe nail back which was loose and just yanks it out with a plier like instrument. Without making sure he doesn't feel anything pain or is properly numbed. She didn't even let him know what she was going to do or why, ZERO consent before doing ANY OF THESE PROCEDURES. He was so scared and alarmed. He is blind and doesn't know what was happening and too shy and scared to speak up. The whole time I wanted to tell her to stop and slow down, but she's so rude and in such a rush. I was just frozen. She doesn't give any after care instructions or speak to my father directly even one time. HE WAS SO TERRIFIED. He waited until we got to the car to ask what happened. It broke my heart. How do you treat a blind elderly patient this way???!!! She didn't talk to him at all, just started doing things to his body. I felt so rushed I could barely ask her any questions. She was in the room for 3-4 min tops. My father was started on an antibiotic a few days ago when his foot first became red and weeping pus. She told me his toe isn't infected. She said the redness is just pigmentation. I'm like he never had any " pigmentation" until this wound appeared and it's only in the affected area. She didn't care at all. Said he can finish the antibiotics but it's not infected. Makes zero sense. Overall the worst medical experience ever and we will NEVER go back there. Trust me don't let loved ones be treated by her. She shouldn't be in medicine. But I will say the other staff there were truly amazing, like the nurse Katie who did our intake and the nurse that gave our discharge instructions after the doctor left. It's a shame that the actual podiatrist was so horrible, absolute worst bedside manner.

They couldn't assess with…read morecertainty the chronic pain I was having in my foot and steered me in directions that made it worse. Meanwhile everyone was telling me to go to Dr. Rogers. I was so discouraged by my 2 visits to ILBJ that I put off making the appointment. That was a mistake. I went in yesterday and was so happy I did. He zeroed in on the problem with confidence. We are moving forward in a different direction than what didn't help at ILBJ (which didn't put the Cortisone shot in the right place and didn't make any difference at all). Last night I walked on my foot for the first time in almost a year nearly pain-free, with a strategy to work toward resolving the problem going forward that makes sense. No physical therapy (like ILBJ prescribed, which I didn't do because I didn't feel like they even understood the problem) which apparently would have made it worse). So grateful for this doctor's knowledge and treatment. Best of all I made my appointment ONLINE, and filled out the paperwork there as well. I waited only a few minutes to be seen.
