Not only this doctor is incapable of diagnosis illness, but very greedy to double charge you compacting to all other doctors I have used during past 26 years. He lies a lot to justify his high charges like 2 visits though there's only one and even faked on visit notes after I told him that he didn't exam my son at all just talked. He asked us to do 2 rounds of blood tests but still no clue about what to do next when I asked. Not only the doctor is the worst ever seen, the doctor office is worst ever as well. After talked with the doctor office for 3 days about the referral mentioning my son is suffering from daily headaches, I finally got a message from the office manager saying that the visit happened in August 15th, and I have to see another provider in the office for the referral only after the first provider charged me $660 without being able to do anything. That provider is expected to give us this referral during the visit if he has any knowledge about headaches. He delayed the diagnosis because of his incapability, charged us very high without any help. Now he even wouldn't write the referral after we know what type of specialist to see after 2nd opinion with a headache specialist. The only thing they care about is making as much as money from you but without providing any results. This is the worst ever experience not only from a doctor, but from any doctor office. I will contact related attorneys to see how this can be handled. The doctor and the office has caused long delays of the diagnosis and suffering of my son. After 2 weeks I asked for records sent to 2nd opinion including talking to the officer manager or supervisor twice, they didn't do anything though they said they would work on them. Dr. Berger is a very caring doctor. I have known him for over nine years now. He has been associated with several different medical offices and some of these units/offices are more organized than others but what has stayed constant for me is the deep care and humanity Paul offers every time I need something. When COVID-19 first hit Colorado, I was among the earliest patients. We were so scared. Dr. Berger helped us get access to oxygen concentrator at home on an emergency basis and I feel certain that I don't have a lot of long term impacts of COVID because I got access to oxyten at the right time. He guides us at the right time to prepare us for what the healthcare system will require of us so that we can take care of ourselves. He has answered my messages even over a weekend when I needed urgent help but his office staff was not able to respond in a timely way. Highly recommend him as a primary care physician. read more

Dr Paul Berger rocks, especially if you are not particularly a fan of Allopathic medicine, he does a great job of practicing the Holistic approach to healing, including working with PT's, Chiropractors, Nutritionists, etc. He is a licensed M.D. and the Dr. isn't about just jabbing you with the latest or greatest new drug or vaccine, in fact he can even give you a referral to a great Naturopathic Physician if that is more your thing, it is ours. We chose that route, since there seems to be so many links to vaccines & autism or autoimmune deficiencies. Dr Berger is a whole family Physician, who even sees our 1.5 yr old daughter Mila & seems the closest thing you could get to the family doctor of the past. I am actually amazed by how much face time you actually have with him, and how through his questions, exams, and diagnostic tests are. read more

I have seen Dr Berger twice now and both times not only did he take the time to listen to what was going on without trying to determine a cause without all of the info, he asked follow up questions to really nail down the root cause. His manner and approach are of a concerned parent and and a true advocate of your health. I love that his first approach is to alter daily activities and habits before going straight for surgery or heavy medications. Dr. Berger's office is not well managed. I needed an Ultrasound for a turmor that was subsequently diagnosed as malignant. I was referred to an office in Denver for the scan. I requested the appointment be made with another facility in Boulder but my requests were simply ignored by Dr. Berger's staff. I finally had to find another provider in Boulder that would do the scan, on my own. read more

I would not recommend Dr Berger. I have been struggling with some medical issues since I was a teen. I thought Dr. Berger having a medical and holistic background could intertwine the 2 worlds. I was given many vague answers. He did not read my past medical history from previous doctors. He did not even know the reason I was there. He spent 20 minutes with me, which for a consultation is not enough time to get a real grip on my past medical history/questions/concerns and plan for treatment in the future. Dr. Berger is a plain-spoken, easy to understand physician. He is engaged with his patients and, most importantly, listens. It took many tests and much time for him to narrow my husband's symptoms to fibromyalgia which itself is almost impossible to diagnose, but he was like a bull dog until he figured it out. Then he went to bat for us with insurance writing several letters supporting his diagnosis. This is the kind of medical professional you want advocating for you. Dr. Berger is a wonderful doctor in many ways. My husband and I have been going to him for quite a few years and I continue to not only be satisfied but delighted and grateful for all the help he has given both of us. He is easy to be with, respectful, kind, an excellent listener and gives me the sense of being the the only patient on the planet for my period of time. He is sensitive and compassionate in relationship to my needs and worries, never hurries me and can think out of the box for problem solving, often making brilliant suggestions. He involves me in the decision making and is open to my ideas and suggestions not just his. He has a lovely sense of humor and lightness which I enjoy and appreciate. I also appreciate and respect his whole- body approach and his suggestions for supplements not just medications He has also made recommendations of other excellent health care providers over time when they might be helpful. I have to admit I was very distressed some while ago when I thought he was moving his practice a long way south of Boulder. Lucky for me that never happened. I do not recommend Dr Berger. I had been suffering for months with what I thought was a ear, nose, and throat issue. I went to see Dr Berger four times and each time he pushed me out the door. The fourth visit I was in so much discomfort and so desperate for answers, I begged Dr Berger to help me. He actually argued with me. He told me I was imagining the problems. I decided to go out on my own. I visited a few ENTs and even had a CAT scan and barium swallow X-ray performed. I eventually went to an allergist who tested me and determined I was very allergic to many things in the environment. I am now getting weekly allergy shots and after 11 months am finally starting to feel better. I thought a primary care physician might suggest visiting an allergist after a patient comes in four times complaining about the same ear, nose, and throat discomfort. I understand why ENT's may not refer a patient to an allergist, but a primary care physician? It turns out I spent thousands of dollars and 11 months to feel better, when it turned out I could have been treated right away if I had a primary care physician that spent the time to listen to his patients and actually cared enough to refer him to the right specialist.
