My father went to this doctor with difficulty swallowing and rapid weight loss and he had labs performed with results showing anemia that indicated possible cancer. However, Dr. Redal would not return his phone calls and ignored his letters and refused his repeated requests to authorize diagnostic tests, dismissing my father's concern as an overreaction. In the 3-week delay Dr. Redal caused, my father's condition worsened significantly, and as we feared, he was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away 6 months later. We filed a complaint with the State medical board, and while no violation was found, he could have made the crucial difference for my dad by simply authorizing an endoscopy immediately.

I missed about a month of my medication as a result and had to call and ask them to refill said medication around 5 times before it was actually refilled. In January of 2025, I decided to start my medical gender transition. I asked for a referral and got on hormone replacement therapy. 3 months later, Intermountain health dropped all gender affirming care for everyone, including referrals to other clinics who do it. with no warning, I got a letter in the mail. they have handled everything my family needed very poorly, including diagnosing too quickly, and refusing to assist in multiple ways that I have not mentioned. I will never be going to another clinic, ER, or hospital associated with Intermountain health again.
