I was in the throes of a psychotic break and had a falling out with my best friend, Dr. Pierre's fiancé. In my delusional state I set out to harm them, and I'm profoundly sorry now. Well, this guy really messed me up. I was in Boulder visiting my best friend, got a migraine and went to see Dr. Pierre... I'm not sure if it was an adverse reaction to some of the supplements that he gave me, or whether it was the palpating, besides that his bedside manner is atrocious... I have been seeing Dr. Brunschwig since 2006 and he is hands down the best MD I have ever seen. I am from San Francisco and have seen incredibly talented Dr.s...Dr. Pierre puts it all together second to none. He has always been there to figure out difficult and multifaceted problems stemming from a major back surgery that was botched by a doctor in SF and also issues from car accidents. The physical and emotional problems that have stemmed from chronic pain and illness have been numerous and intricate - Pierre was able to help me manage them all. I have sent numerous people to see Dr. Brunschwig for their varied health issues and he has successfully helped them all. Dr. Brunschwig has a knowledge base that is vast and deep. He has put together WHY things are happening in my body and addressed the basis of the problems, not just the symptoms. I.e.: I have various joint and systemic inflammation issues and he was able to pinpoint why and help me heal the whole problem vs. just giving me a pill that took away the symptoms for the short run. He uses natural remedies whenever he can which helps the body in the long run. Dr. Pierre is able to use blood tests and other diagnostic tools to preempt long term problems like heart disease, arterial problems, diabetes etc. it is extraordinary what his knowledge can address. Dr. Pierre is extremely caring, supportive and his manner of kindness with patients is unparalleled. (He is really funny too when appropriate.) He is also the go-to Doctor for Mom's looking to help their children successfully without putting them on nasty medicines for rashes, ear issues etc. My friends with children swear by him. Without the incredible talents of Dr. Brunschwig I would have never made it through the many physical issues my botched surgery and numerous car accidents (where I was hit) have caused. GET READY TO EMPTY YOUR POCKETS. Insurance sees it as unscientific so won't touch any of it-- even if they assure you the insurance will. Their lowest cost provider charges $5 PER MINUTE of consultation. (30 min= $150). It was obvious Deb was just BSing and talking about unrelated things to bump the cost up (I even asked her "does this have anything to do with the issue at hand?" and she said "no...") I was told the lab testing they had me submit would cost no more than $50. It ended up costing $150. So $150 for the initial consultation (full of unrelated topics), $150 for the lab fee, and another $150 for the post-exam "results explaining" (everything was clear and fine... asking me about unrelated issues to bump up the chargeable time), I basically paid $450 for them to tell me "all's well." Save your money and stay in-network. The only positive feedback I have is regarding the front desk guy, Josh... he was very patient and helpful. read more

A waste of time and money. You could get the same advice from any in-network holistic doctor in Boulder. This is not a traditional naturopathic practice by any means. No muscle testing for supplements. No individualized care. They prescribed a diet and supplements based on what they've seen working with past patients and completely ignored what was currently working for me. They had never heard of most of the supplements I was taking and actually recommended single-chain probiotics containing titanium dioxide. My questions felt unwanted and my concerns dismissed. I felt completely rushed. There was barely enough time to discuss my lab results and absolutely no extra time to discuss my medical history (which was barely glanced at) or any of my other health concerns or symptoms. read more

Really fantastic. I will never go back to the traditional doctor's office practice of waiting around to see the doctor, who spends all of 2 minutes with you. The first time I went to Helios the doctor spend 50 minutes with me, going over my health history, current problems, etc. Because of this thorough process he was able to spot possible sleep apnea, which he referred me to a specialist for a definitive diagnosis. I have to admit my experience was bad and I will never go back. All I wanted was to have my estrogen prescription filled. And the nurse practitioner changed my prescription that I was totally happy with, also adding progesterone. I had bad reactions, felt terrible. I paced the floors at 3:00 in the morning because I couldn't sit still. My inner voice spoke clearly: Stop seeing this woman or you are going to die. A friend gave me some essential oil with progesterone in it,(Young Living) and I got immediate relief, sleeping well for the first time in weeks. Another thing that really irked me, was that I was given only a month prescription for the Estridial--until I got a mammogram and bone density test. NO WAY. If I wanted allopathic medicine I would have gone to a real doctor. As a result of this experience I have totally gone off HRT which is a good thing because it is not natural. I was talked into it because the medical profession seems to think woman have to have it. read more
