Right off the road is a nice sized pond, most likely not used for fishing but more for scenery. The park is fenced in by the cutest white picket fence. Nearby the pond is a small lot of tall trees with a paved walking path that is kept up quite well. There's a few tables within the trees for a perfect picnic in the shade. Further into the park are several soccer and baseball fields. This area was jammed packed! There were several games going on and tons of kids having fun! The playground looked pretty cool, if only I was 15 years younger! Ample parking back towards the sports fields. We pulled off to the side of the road up by the pond and we weren't in anyone's way. Everything is paved and nice. There's also a community building that we did not check out but it looks big. I believe this is where township meetings are held. If even possible, this would be a cute area to rent out for a baby shower or children's party. No complaints for our first time visiting!

One of my favorite parts was the nature center. The staff and naturalists were incredibly kind and helpful, and the space itself is really well done. There's a cute gift shop, educational displays, and even a small children's museum feel with a few live animals to see. It's a great spot to learn something new or play around. Outside, the park is incredible. The trails are extremely well maintained, both the wooded paths and the paved ones, making it perfect for an easy walk or a hike. There's also an outdoor fitness trail that I loved. It has different workout stations along the way, and it's actually really fun, not just functional. It's a great way for both kids and adults to be active. There's also a huge playground and a mini water park area for kids, plus accessible bathrooms and good seasonal amenities. It's very family friendly without feeling overcrowded. If you're into disc golf, this place is a gem. There's a large disc golf course, and they even sell discs and gear right inside the nature center. Another thing worth mentioning is how amazing Great Parks of Hamilton County is overall. They offer so many programs like beginner fishing, guided hikes, plant swaps, art workshops, amphibian hunts, and even owl pellet dissections. Not all of these are specific to this park, but many are hosted here, and it really adds to how special the experience is. Overall, this is an extremely pleasant place to spend time. But, I think I've kept this awesome Burlington trail a secret for long enough. Let me start by saying that there is a park area with a playground and covered shelter and grill that looks nice and clean! On our most recent visit, there was a big cookout going on, and all of the parking spaces in the small lot were full. Don't be concerned if that's the case when you arrive ... there's plenty of street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. And - even if the play area is full of people, we've never seen another person on the actual trail beneath the park. This trail is not for hiking amateurs. You can except a VERY steep climb back uphill at the end of your visit. There is a side path that's a little less steep - but it's very rocky with lots of switchbacks. I definitely recommend this trail for more experienced hikers. If you are a beginner and still want to check it out, just be sure you know what you're getting into. It's definitely worth the climb! My husband and I often bring our dogs for a quick spin around this trail, on both weekday and weekend mornings. When you get down to the actual river, there's plenty of wildlife to check out. Most recently, we enjoyed the blooming Honeysuckle plants, but steered clear of a few snakes in the water. Be sure to watch where you step. Check out Gunpowder Creek the next time you're looking for a unique nature hike with a bit of a challenge. You won't be disappointed.

It is one of those places that reminds you not to underestimate Ohio's natural beauty. There are hiking challenges too you can sign up for prizes. There is a really cute nature themed playground that is perfect for kids. This place also makes an amazing venue for events. You can rent spaces for parties or weddings, which is my dream venue. The welcome center is one of my favorite parts. They have live animals that are very well cared for, including rehabilitated raptors, which is so cool to see up close. There is also a large gift shop, a cozy lounging area, and coffee from Coffee Emporium available to buy. It is a great place to relax and take everything in, especially if you enjoy birdwatching. They also host seasonal events, and their Christmas lights event is one of my favorites. It really brings the whole place to life in a special way. The staff here are consistently kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to talk with you. They are always willing to answer questions and make the experience even better. Overall, this is such a peaceful, educational, and well maintained place. Definitely somewhere you can keep coming back to and still enjoy every time.

There are stops along the way: several bonfires, a gift shop, live music, interactive light displays, and a historic home you can walk through. It's $20 per adult and $8 per child, with a small savings for members. We'd love to go back during the summer months, perhaps for another one of their many events.

This is the Mushroom House in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati. The amount of detail is really breathtaking: circular steel steps, deck rails of wood shingles, stained glass windows, tiled ceilings... of course, I had to snap some pics. How often do we come to Cin City. The original owner/builder by the name of Terry Brown has passed away in 2008. It is located between the baseball fields and picnic shelter B. The area is in full sun. On a hot sunny day, parts of the playground are too hot to play on. Playground is surrounded by wood chips. There is a sandbox in the corner. There are some picnic tables that are shaded by trees not far from the play area. Geese galore. Be careful where you step. Signs near the lake say not to feed the geese.
