Everything you can think of is old school in there besides the care. Smh The pediatrician is not in this field of 50 + years to treat sick kids anymore. Using Covid as an excuse to treat my 3 yr old who had been sick for 12 days, saw him outside the front door in front of the building. Checked his lungs and had to ask him to check his throat. Did not check his ears, or heart and did not look at his eyes. Little did he know, he had double pink eye that my optometrist prescribed 24 hrs before. I had to tell him that. My poor baby coughs up a lung and almost throws up every time, nose constantly runs and complains of other symptoms, too long of a post to list. So sad I can't find a doc to treat my littles that hardly get sick read more

I have had the opportunity to see Dr. Schorr for the second time now, he is the most AMAZING doctor! His "Bedside Manner" is a 10 plus! He is precise about his cosmetic injections! I've been to other doctors and by the next day or next week it looks like I had nothing done!After seeing Dr. sure my injections of last way past nine months! My husband and I have been going to Patterson First Care since it opened and most of the time I see Richard the PA. Richard ALWAYS listens to what I am feeling and really takes the time to help me. My kids also see Richard and I love it because we are in and out within 20 minutes usually (they can't sit still for too long) The girls in the office are always very nice and do their best to squeeze us in or schedule us as soon as possible. I think this is one of the few places where the PA, Dr and office staff knows who you are without having to look at your chart. i have been going to Paterson 1st care for 4 or 5 years now because I do not have insurance. I always see Dr.OBryan. He is a very caring, straightforward, listens wholeheartedly and always tries to help in any way he can. He even called a pharmacy to see if he could find the medicine I needed cheaper. Many times he has not charged me for a follow up visit. I am grateful for him!!! Barbie and Patty are awsome office personnel. They are are always prompt, kind, and helpful. This is an extremely limited review because I have only received one medical service from Patterson 1st Care. However, that particular experience went really well, so I have been remiss in not offering a shout-out some time ago. The clinician I saw was Physician Assistant Richard O'Bryan (who was a former co-worker of mine). When I went to see him, I had been plagued for some years by a small bump on the side of my nose that caused me considerable inconvenience during allergy season. Unfortunately for me, it was barely perceptible and certainly not significant enough for any insurance plan to ever cover its removal. Every time I would ask doctors about it, they would always tell me: 1.) It's not cancerous. 2.) It's on your face and you need a dermatologist. 3.) It won't be covered so you'll be out a lot of money. When I approached O'Bryan, he was receptive to my desire to have it gone and he agreed to negotiate a cash price, since insurance clearly wasn't covering it. Though he warned a scar was possible, his quick, painless removal left none. I really wish I had done it years and years ago. I would definitely go to him for future medical needs. read more

One star because Dr. Schorr who also practices here and is much friendlier and easier to work with. This negative review is for Physician Assistant Richard O'Brian. This man has a complex because I am a nurse and I have ideas about what is going on with my own body, heaven forbid anyone have any medical background or knowledge when coming to deal with this guy. I came to him with symptoms of a sinus infection lasting for over 4 weeks already. I suggested to him what I thought I had and he was appalled that I would tell him (a PA from Stanford) what I think I might have. He quickly assessed me and told me it was allergies and gave me a prescription for Claritin and Flonase and sent me on my way. A week or so later still struggling with a stuffed nose, green mucus and plugged ears I request a referral to an ENT. It was granted, as well as an order for a sinus X-ray. 8 weeks later and I go back to get my results and request some antibiotics since the ENT can't see me till 6 weeks from now. Before he even opens the door I hear him pick up my chart and give the biggest sigh of irritation knowing it would be me again. As he asks why I am here I begin to describe my new symptoms but before I can finish my sentence he is talking again and doesn't even listen to a word I say. He reads my X-ray results and tells me I have the worst sinus infection he has ever seen. (So now I guess it's a sinus infection LOL.) Yes I knew this 4 weeks ago. He tells me to just wait to see the ENT even though it's 6 weeks from now and continue the Claritin and nasal spray. He tells me it's so bad I could probably need surgery but doesn't write a script for antibiotics. I tell him I was hoping to try some antibiotics since I read clinical research about sinus infections that last longer then 10 days being caused by bacteria and not viruses. He was not happy to hear my suggestion and tells me, with the attitude of a teenager, that he just started his assessment and how dare I suggest to a Stanford trained medical student what I want. This guy is unbelievable, totally disrespectful and out of line, and does not treat his patients with integrity or any respect. He reluctantly gave me the prescription for antibiotics but without my pushing it wouldn't have happened. Maybe the antibiotics will help, maybe they won't but at the end of the day if it could potentially cause more good then harm wouldn't you want to try it??? This guy has a set method in treating patients and definitely doesn't think outside the box. My review is strangely similar to the first review written about him. I would hate to think his negligence in treating me with antibiotics the first time I saw him caused my infection to get to the point where it is now. Never again... read more

I have been coming to Patterson 1st Care since it took over when Dr. LaTorre retired. I see Richard O'Bryan. He has been really good. He went above and beyond with me when my Husband passed away 6-11. My last visit I was having problems with my right foot. Well to my surprise he said what it was and it was better that night. I thought that he was crazy when he said what it was. What a great Dr. and friend he is. The rest of the staff is also good. read more
