No, I would not recommend Dr Mohamed E. Eldaly (Emanuel Specialty Care Medical Oncology - Turlock,…read moreCalifornia). My mother received treatment from Dr. Eldaly and he would not listen to her, she did not get the care she deserved. We told him multiple times the treatment was not working and he refused to listen to her. When we had office visits we told him multiple times how bad she was doing and he was dismissive. With my experience and in my opinion Dr. Eldaly is arrogant, condescending, and dismissive.

I responded saying that I've had this same information and have already contacted my healthcare company prior to today's visit to learn of the co-pay I would have which is typically $40 for this type of service; a bilateral mammogram. She continued to "educate me" on the "why" and "what" reasons and coverages set by my insurance, not the facility. She was still grossly incorrect in the information. She explained to me that I first have to satisfy my deductible and or maximum out-of-pocket limits Anthem set and that is the "why" the estimated out-of-pocket of $811.45 was accurate and that $800 of that amount is going to satisfy the deductible. I was already under stress, fear, and uncertainty about the dates radiological procedures because my paternal aunt just died of metastasized breast cancer which also engulfed her bones. So now I've got an employee lecturing me at length as to "why this information of $811.45 is absolutely correct as per my health insurance and the mandatory deductible due". I have a soft spot for this Emanuel Cancer Center and have been having my female health needs done here when I could go elsewhere. I have just always felt as safe as I could while here. I'm not going to stop coming here however just because of this unfortunate yet preventable business office fiasco but I would like to see this type of unnecessarily stressful situation become extinct. I think the worst of it is either the employee was disallowed to behave any other way or, incorrect training maybe? They could also reach out to leadership with Anthem BC and inform them of these unacceptable outcomes when inquiring for patient services. Either way, all 3 options could lead to higher patient satisfaction ratings and less stress & anxiety for everyone involved.

I went on Monday to get it done and did my bloodwork the same day with quest diagnostics. I had my results in my quest diagnostics portal by Wednesday that same week. So why is it that it's already Tuesday the following week and they still hadn't called me to pick up my stuff. So I had called on Friday (the week I did the exam) to follow up and said can I send them from my portal directly to you and they said no they had to receive the results directly from quest. So I had to call quest and tell them to send the results to them and even quest said that it is not my responsibility to be doing so and that del valle clinic should've been the one to call to do it on my behalf. I should not have had to be the middle man in this process ESPECIALLY with how much I paid. Every. Single. Day. Counts. When we are under the current presidency of Trump so it's so crucial that things are pushed through in a timely manner because laws change from one day to the next and I should not have had to wait on a medical exam for this long given the current times. I wanted to be able to submit my stuff and move along but because they had no urgency, it's delayed at no fault of my own.

Dr. Cook has been my doctor for a long longtime now. He was recommended by my previous doctor, Dr…read more Sood after he was told he had to get rid of patients from Sutter since he was engrossed in nuclear medicine. One of the best recommendations ever especially since Cook was not part of the evil Sutter medical cartel. In the past, Dr. Sood and I as a patient had to go up against Sutter for going outside what the "Standard of Care" demanded, which has nothing to do with the patients health. Ok long preamble, but sets the stage. With Dr Cook you become a partner as to not only your medical care, but more importantly a partner in keeping you healthy, to where you don't need to see a doctor or go to the hospital, except for breaking a leg or other accidents. This knowledge that you, the individual, are in charge of your own health care, is non-existent inside the big medical institutions. Because of his care and acknowledging that I, the patient, have a say, is prolly one of the reasons I am as healthy as I am at my age. I know if I was subject to, or actually followed the advice, (God no) of Sutter, or Kaiser or any other major medical cartel it would be a different story. As an extra he personally calls to discuss results of blood test, MRI's, etc. So you might think this guy is right around the corner and easy for me to go to. Nope. At one time it was a 12 minute drive but years ago I moved and now it's about 1 hr 40 min drive 1 way if I catch good traffic. As  a doctor it's worth the drive.
