Setting up an appointment was a breeze - the…read morereceptionist, Angie, is a sweetheart, and she was able to squeeze me in when luckily there was a cancellation. The office is located off of St. Clair in the Northwestern Memorial building (and there is validated parking available); the office is very cute, clean, and modern, and I waited less than 10 minutes after my scheduled time (which is pretty much unheard of; the receptionist also apologized which I thought was ridiculous!). I filled out basic medical history and such on their patient portal beforehand, which I thought was quite convenient and makes things more efficient. I was really excited with all the raving reviews on not only on Yelp, but on other health websites that rated Dr. O'Mara. When the doc walked in, she was extremely nice, very knowledgeable, straightforward, a great listener, gentle, professional, and very informative. She listened to all of my health issues as well as my thoughts and opinions, and basically gave me a plan of action. She took her time with me, asking questions, and the whole time, I was not felt rushed! The best thing is that she was very genuine and I was extremely comfortable, being a new patient with all these high expectations! There is a lab on-site, and the phlebotomist, Lauren P., was so sweet and kind, and drawing blood was not at all uncomfortable (considering I have a very low threshold of pain and am such a pansy!). Dr. O'Mara and everyone on staff seems to be extremely detail-oriented and organized (which I absolutely love). The high ratings on the doc do not do her justice - she really is AWESOME. I have a follow-up next week am actually looking forward to a doctor's appointment - isn't that crazy?! I am looking forward in being Dr. O'Mara's patient for years to come! +ask for Angie, the receptionist :D +Dr. O'Mara = AWESOME +limited parking (park at garage)

Dr. O'Mara's office is a clean, modern one-physician practice. She exhibits all of the professionalism and knowledge I have come to expect and appreciate from Northwestern practitioners and affiliates. I was randomly assigned to her through Northwestern's physician referral practice after I suffered a serious medical event and I was shocked by how great my experiences with her have been. My initial consultation was in her office, where she interviewed me about all of my health concerns, family history, and really took the time to get to know both me as a person and my health issues. Despite a relatively complicated health history, Dr. O'Mara has gone above and beyond. She takes the time to research issues about my medicine and listens to my questions, no matter how silly they may seem to me, in a non judgmental environment. She has followed up on problems or before procedures through phone calls about things I, at times, hadn't even thought about. She is always eager to explain these things to me. She truly cares about her patient's well being and happiness -- even following up on what I thought about places she had sent me for a referral. In short, I have never received this level of care with any doctor before. Her assistant, Angie, is also very nice and helpful. To top it off, it's extremely easy to make appointments here, and Dr. O'Mara keeps an electronic portal where you can ask her questions, view your test results quickly, and access other features from your visits. If you need a new internal medicine doctor, visit Dr. O'Mara.

Their approach…read moreis exceptionally thorough, data-driven, and proactive -- true Healthcare 3.0 as defined by Dr. Peter Attia. Rather than reacting to illness, SHIFT focuses on building strength, health, and longevity -- helping patients feel younger, move better, and live with more energy and purpose. What sets SHIFT apart is the depth of their commitment. My physician, for example, calls me every week -- same day, same time -- just to check in, ask how I'm doing, and see if there's anything he can do to help me feel better, healthier, or more energized. It's an extraordinary level of attention and partnership that transforms the doctor-patient relationship into something far more meaningful. SHIFT doesn't operate like a body shop that repairs damage after it happens. Instead, they focus on taking you from good to great -- preventing problems before they arise and optimizing every aspect of your well-being. This is the future of medicine, and it's already changing how I feel, move, sleep, and live each day.

Despite having an unpredictable injection schedule - Tiffany stayed in touch via text and made sure she was available when needed (even for a 2am injection!). She came to my apartment for my injection - making it incredibly convenient. Given her expertise with the procedure, she was able to give me on-demand advice and help me stay positive throughout the process. I would recommend Tiffany to anyone and everyone going through IVF and/or Egg Freezing. She eliminates the stress associated with injections and is a key source of support! She also taught my husband and I helpful tips on how to administer the shots correctly and in a way that hurt much less than what we'd been doing before. It's so nice to have a service like this available - I can't recommend Smith Fertility enough.

When I needed to switch doctors I thought I would give him a try but didn't think he could possibly live up to hype. I was wrong! If Dr. Perlmuter had been HALF as good as his reputation I would have been thrilled. Instead he has been even better - in ways I didn't appreciate until I was his patient. Dr. Perlmuter is knowledgeable and experienced of course, but he is also truly caring. I really believe that he is looking out for me and my long term health. He remembers details about my family and medical issues. He asks good questions about my health and I never feel rushed. Perhaps best of all, he seems to know ALL The great doctors including the best specialists. I was really pleased with how easy it was to set up an appointment on the app. I uploaded my insurance information on the app and presented it again to the receptionist when I arrived for my appointment. I saw the doctor and was pleased with my care. However, I needed a prior authorization for a prescription and everything went downhill. Long story short, I contacted One Medical three times by app (as instructed) to request the PA. The app has read receipts, so the staff saw my request. I never received a response. A week before I was going to be out of my medication, I was finally able to get in contact with a customer service rep at their corporate office. She was very apologetic about the issue and had the office manager reach out to me. The office manager told me they didn't take my insurance and that they would not do the PA. I felt like the office manager was blaming me for the issue. However, my insurance company assigned One Medical to me, said One Medical was a participating office when I called, and had them listed online as in network, so I didn't appreciate the insinuation that I did not do my due diligence. One Medical had multiple opportunities to let me know that they did not accept my insurance, but chose to ghost me until I reached out to corporate. I was left without care and with an empty prescription. It was difficult to find a new provider on such short notice, so I had to go without my medication. Had One Medical paid attention when I booked my appointment, showed my insurance card to the receptionist, or during the 3 times I reached out about my PA, I could have started the search earlier and found a new doctor. One Medical is careless at best and negligent at worst. With so many other options in Chicago, I could not recommend One Medical in good faith.
