Upon speaking with insurance, they informed us that this was in-fact inaccurate and to be weary of places that do this to get more money from their customers. Insurance stated that a cleaning is a cleaning, but some places like this one try to say there are other stages of cleanings other than the "basic" cleaning that is covered by insurance. In addition, they are very reluctant to send us our records when asked, and had to be asked multiple times. We have still not received everything we've been asking for, for months.

She responded not only blaming a person they apparently fired (so shifting blame) but that they would not inconvenience patience with "ACTUAL" (yes she said that, and didn't see herself as being rude) appointments to fit my appointment in. Excuse me, I too have an actual! appointment made by Peak Dental office staff (fired or not still your office is accountable). I was told "you have two options, reschedule or leave". Which do you think I chose? Listen when I do something stupid and come on wrong day, that's on me, I am embarrassed and sorry, but I came when I was told and was treated as if I was the one being rude. Just fix it when your office staff ,whether there or not, is in the wrong. Don't belittle the patient. You have no idea what I went through to be there.

After the office confirmed the price through our insurance, my husband agreed to have the crown. He paid the quoted price in full and received the service. Months later, we received a bill for over $500. They were claiming it was an outstanding balance. After calling to find out what it was all about , they said it was the remaining balance for the crown. They claimed our insurance refused the claim. I have never been to a Dr or dentist that didn't confirm pricing and authorization of a procedure prior to doing said procedure. Apparently, peak dental , under the new management does things a bit more shady. They tell you a procedure is approved , quote you a price via your insurance and then do the procedure . We are now aware that they are scammers that do dental work at the insurance cost but fail to run it through insurance properly or not at all and the after the procedure is done, months later they send you a bill for hundreds of dollars saying , the procedure wasn't covered by insurance. That's bologna. Crowns are covered by insurance. Everyone who's had insurance knows this. It's still costly but typically insurance covers half the price. Since the change of ownership we have not been very happy going there . The staff that we were familiar with have all left . The last girl that cleaned my teeth actually talked to me about the mass exodus of the staff. She said the new owners weren't running things as they though fit. Patients were complaining and she herself was on her way out. Since nobody that we were use to seeing is there anymore, it won't be a big deal finding a new dentist since everyone at Peak Dental is new anyway . I'm putting this on Yelp because I don't like when people try to rip me off and lie in order to take my money after they've completed a procedure and quoted me the price that was paid in full and I would have loved to have known their tactics prior. I'm hoping to help other people not to have to deal with this issue.

The assistant to the ENT came into the room and told me she was going to put Afrin up my nose, so the doctor could use a scope. I told her no, and she looked half stunned, half asleep and walked out. How brain dead do you have to be to think you should expose someone to a drug when you have zero clue if they might have a reaction to it? But most importantly, I was there for something in my MOUTH! You do not need a scope or anything messing with the nose for exam or treatment, yet she was blindly going to administer it. Incompetent and asking for a law suit! Next, the practitioner Jessica came in and asked me why I was there. Again, READ the chart! So I told her. I knew exactly what the diagnosis was already, because it was obvious. I just needed the correct treatment. She got all cocky and said, "Oh, what makes you think it's that?" I have ZERO patience for medical staff with a god complex. I didn't tolerate them when working, and I certainly will not now. Get over yourself and do you job. No one is here to worship you. You are here to serve with respect.
