We had the most amazing experience working with Joanne Tuiaana. Her personalized touch during the entire process was amazing. She was in constant communication with us, ensured our questions were answered timely and treated my kids as her own when they accompanied us to each visit. Patrick BMW treats their customers as family and for that I am a grateful and a forever customer. read more

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I admit I was a little nervous coming here, because the reviews are pretty hot and cold, with not much in between. However, the excellent salesman I worked with quickly put me at ease. Sal was professional, easy to talk to and work with, and never made me feel rushed in my decision. He took care of both my car purchase and my trade-in, and the process was very smooth. If you're coming here to buy a car, ask for Sal! read more

Recently purchased a new 7 series from this dealership and the sales experience was very good, enough so to earn 4 stars which is a rare evaluation from me. My salesman Will W. was a pleasure to work with he made the process flow smoothly from working with the sales manager to the genius expert. Forgot to mention a headset was missing called my salesman Will W. and he took care of my request immediately had the item the next day my hope is to have this type of service trickle down to the Service Department when it's time. Due to COVID, my car had been sitting in its parking space to about 2 months and had rodent damage. About $4K worth. Matt Page, my service advisor, went above and beyond to help me. I had to file an insurance claim with State Farm (who was also awesome BTW). Not only did Matt continue to follow up with me, he also called his State Farm contact directly. The full claim was paid and the car was completely fixed in one week's time. He also called me to let me know that State Farm generally sends the check to the claimant, which they had done, so I was prepared to pay in full for the service. And about 10 days later, the temperature sensor on the car was not working, I was concerned it was due to further damage by the rodents. Turns out it, it was not, Matt had my car fixed and ready to go in like 90 mins. GREAT customer service. read more

I would highly recommend you stay away from this dealership. Number 1 they are totally overpriced on all their repair services. #2 The repair advisor made me feel uncomfortable, awkward, and unwelcome. The employees have attitudes. Honestly BMWs are not reliable at all in the long run. I recommend you seek a small local professional shop that will do the same job at literally the fraction of the cost. Overall this dealership is mediocre at best. I would say the most concerning thing is the way the advisors talk to you. They make you feel like they are scam artists and disrespectful. Not Genuine at all. read more

I walked in to look at a 5 series a couple hours ago. First time there. Not one person took me as an "up". I walked around the showrooms, right and left. Never got as much as a glance from ANY employee. I reached out to the receptionist who finally got someone to talk to me. I told him (the receptionist referred to him as an "expert ") that I wanted to look at a 530. So he leads me to the only 5 in the showroom; a 550M for 80G. It was used, and the guy told me no worries, all 5's look alike. Huh? Guess it was too chilly outside for him to show me what I wanted. I looked at the M, he never came back and I walked out with my perfect 2016 A5 with 20K on the odometer that I was gonna trade if a deal was in the making. Wow. I'm embarrassed for this business; shockingly lame. Looks like I'm off to Barrington.... read more

Alan Murad is pretty magical too and I agree with Tayler M's comment that Terry Shoemaker is magical as I've bought cars from both of them. This review is about Alan and our car buying experience with him and Patrick BMW. I have bought more than 20 cars in my life, some exotics, Mercedes, Toyota's, domestics and 3 BMW's. 2 times I've bought my BMW's at Patrick of Schaumburg, IL and those 2 times stand out as my most memorable experiences buying a car... for all the right reasons. There are people that make you feel like you are being sold and then there are people that make you feel special and respect you throughout the process. They don't try selling you something you don't need or want, instead they work to earn your trust and your business. They make the car buying process easy and they are really there to help you make the right choices instead of selling you anything they can get you into. Alan is the epitome of that type of person. He makes you feel welcome from the moment you meet him, he works hard to make sure you understand all your options and he makes you feel like you are the most important customer while you are with him. We had so many questions and several issues with taxes and insurance because I live out of state but need a car in Illinois which makes things complicated. He worked through everything to make sure everything was done right and even though we were struggling with the insurance company out of state issues, he patiently waited and worked through everything with us until we had everything we needed. Most people would have probably gotten a bit frustrated with all the questions and hurdles we were dealing with, but Alan not only kept his composure but worked with us to make sure we were getting over those hurdles and were satisfied throughout. I understand he wanted the sale and that's what good sales people do, but since I've dealt with so many sales people over the years I feel like he stands out as one of the better ones to work with. He also did something I was not expecting, he got us into the fully loaded M edition of the car we wanted, when we came in looking for the lesser vehicle. He was able to do that at a price we were very comfortable with. One other important point we enjoyed is that he didn't need bring a manager into the process at any point thus making the situation feel awkward and uncomfortable, there is nothing worse than that feeling of having to deal with multiple people twisting your arm, that wasn't the situation here and it made the experience much better than the typical car buying experience. Alan is the kind of person you want to find and work with when it comes to buying your next car. I encourage you to visit him the next time you buy are going to buy a BMW. read more

First, let me post this nugget... "Here is perhaps the most sobering thought about car sales: everyone in the profession can be replaced by a well-crafted web interface." So, I wanted to test drive a BMW i3 overnight (ALWAYS GET A 1-DAY TEST SO YOU CAN REALLY JUDGE THE VEHICLE ON YOUR OWN TIME) and emailed Patrick BMW, at which point they confirmed my email was received and separately, that my request 'was no problem at all.' I arrive at the dealer and my name is nowhere on any list, so that's fun. Some salesman was SO EXCITED to say hello, but his mood changed instantly (he was annoyed) once I said 'but a guy named so-and-so emailed me to confirm this, so not sure what's up now...' I was already lost business for that gentleman and deemed worthless, haha. Next, I am simply handed off to an average, under-performing salesman; you can always tell because they don't have their own office (it's just one of those cookie-cutter rooms with an empty desk) and the only thing personal is their coat, hanging on the wall. We get the test drive arranged and as we're walking, I remind him it's an overnight test drive so I can really get the feel of the electric car (I've never had or driven one before). He balks and tells me that I can '...have an overnight test drive AFTER I buy the car.' WAIT... I ALREADY OWN THE CAR AT THAT POINT! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We head to the ugh, skeevy/skeezy/oily-feeling finance manager and oh man, he literally gave me those feelings. Listen, this may be a BMW dealership, but the logos mean nothing -- some of the people they hire are the same ones you think you are avoiding from the used car lots. He gives me no attention and treats my subpar salesman exactly as expected: lowest on sales totem pole. It was like watching an angry dad correct his son and quite demeaning; worse yet, my salesman was older, so it was depressing to see The New America -- a group of select younger guys running the show at any cost... I loved the car and the test drive, which was overnight after all was said [and hesitantly done]. However, skeevy/skeezy/oily-feeling finance manager requested to hold my own car key; kind of pointless since they (a) had all my personal info and (b) I have a spare key so that I could just drive off in my own car later on with or without that dealership-held key. At the basic level, my experience at Patrick was not unique and that's the worst part: I expected more and got The Usual. read more

Having purchased two cars from Patrick BMW, I would have thought they would want to be helpful to me in tracking down a lien waiver for my paid off car. I left multiple voicemail messages at Patrick BMW and never got a return call. I kept calling and finally got a real person to answer. She flatly refused to provide any help, claiming the dealership had no connection with BMW Finance. I asked if they could help their customer and troubleshot this issue, as I could not get anyone from BMW Finance on the phone. She said no, that this was my problem and the dealership would not help their customer get a response from BMW Finance. FIne. I have bought my last car from this dealership. I emailed them through their website to get a quote on a demo x3. Their initial reply from Jeff Fender was prompt and he followed up with a few more emails. I replied via email trying to set up a time to test drive - however I never got a reply so I figured maybe they were too busy. Never the less, I showed up and another sales rep helped me with a test drive. We didn't agree on a price. After this, the sales rep never called me to follow up. Then a few days later, I get another email from their internet sales reps Jeff asking if I was still interested. I replied thinking that we can now move forward and make a deal - and again nothing, no reply!! Their sales team doesn't seem to communicate with each other, they don't seem to want my business, and their internet sales team is not responsive - I keep replying to them and nothing happens. Purchased a CPO with very low miles, sales process was great as it was in the past purchases.. Then the issues started. CPO car had three issues (bad), which they agreed to address. Two of which they were not aware of (bad #2). Scheduled the service which includes pickup and drop off, they kept the car 4 days (bad #3).. Get a call Friday and they say the car ready but nobody to deliver it (bad #5), they will keep it over the weekend (bad #6). Loaner vehicle is a base model X3 which smells like cigarette smoke (bad #7) so bad my wife will not get in it.. So I had a $80K vehicle purchase with multiple issues and they want to keep the car longer than I have owned it. Very nice people, but not sure how they miss the mark with these basic dealership principles. In less than a week I went from a happy customer to extremely disappointed with Patrick BMW. read more

Appointment was at 9 had to wait 30 minutes until someone came out to help. Morning hours are important. Ask rep if there are any promotion I can take advantage as he said there aren't any. (Things aren't cheap here so I went ahead and googled myself found on Patrick website) Found coupon for all of the things I was getting done there. At billing I asked to use coupons first they said no because I have to bring them when I drop off. After my request billing lady asked one of the rep to use coupons. He came with negative attitude and told me to bring when I drop car off. And they should be printed and not on mobile ? Okay!!! One coupon was for BMW parts and accessories he denied it saying it's only accessories it clearly says on coupon it's for BMW parts as well. I had $280 worth of parts in there I could have saved some. It does not feel right. They only take 1 coupon. I had oil changed , break oil flushed and brake pads installed. Had savings for all only 1 coupon used. After all this went out and grabbed my car it was not washed from outside! Only vacuumed inside ! Nothing but bad experiences. Since I live close to Patrick thought it might be nice to give a local business a shot. It all started out with the car I wanted, which granted at the time was hard to find. Got a call when the car came in and made plans to drive it the next day. Unfortunately, something came up I called the salesman and rescheduled. The same night someone went into the dealership and bought it. Hey, I get it, car dealerships are in the business of making money and selling cars, but call, email, text message, something. And in a nutshell is the entire problem I have with Patrick BMW, communication is terrible. So, I buy the hard to find car at another dealership and now I figure since Patrick is close I'll go to them for service. The long and sort of it is they do not have experienced enough technicians or confident enough service writers who know how to deal with more complex issues or in my case Non-Issues (Long Story). AND, their communication is abysmal. They say they call, nope no calls and now they have the added capability of text and email. Just had my car in; brought it in Friday 8am. Nothing, no text, no email, no phone call (although they assured me they called) for 2 and a half days, I had to call them Monday afternoon. Then I go to pick up my car. Drive out of the dealership and realize I left something in the car. Kind of important but more an inconvenience than important. I call, the guy that picked up the phone says, "oh the girl who takes care of the loaners is busy can she call you back or do you want to leave a message"? I tell him to let her know I am on my way back to the dealership,I left something in the car and want to come pick it up. I get there, and the car is GONE, nobody said anything to the "girl who takes care of the loaners" because she knew nothing about it and they loaned out the car to someone else. I lost it, poor Melissa I felt bad, but I'd had enough of this place. The dope that picked up the phone didn't do anything, didn't mention, hey let me go see if the car is still here maybe I can stop it. He has my number and never checked with Melissa ("The girl who takes care of the loaners"). So needless to say, I am going to be doing business ANYWHERE but Patrick in the future. read more

This is the 4th car we've purchased from here within the last 3 years. Overall, I've had a wonderful experience with the sales dept. However, my issue is with the finance dept. They're extremely rude and pushy, and judgmental if you don't purchase the additional protection plans. On my last car, we decided to add a few protection plans bc the finance guy sold us on it. Come 8 months later when we go to make a claim on one of those, I find out nothing is covered bc the guy that sold it to us had flat out lied to our face and deceived us..... Yusuf was extremely helpful in my purchase. I was in the market for an M550i vehicle. He responded to my internet inquiry and told me he had one car which was the color I wanted. Because of my schedule it was almost a week before I could get in to view the vehicle. In the meantime we negotiated a very acceptable price for the vehicle and for my trade (which I did enjoy). I came in early on a Saturday and I was glad I did as Yusuf was right. There were a few other persons highly interested in purchasing the vehicle I ultimately purchased. Yusuf was totally professional, answered all my questions, helped with my test drive, allowed me to drive the vehicle as long and as fast as I desired, demonstrated the park assist feature and was never high pressure. I had an absolutely wonderful experience purchasing my new X1 at Patrick BMW! I originally looked at another dealership, and between the hard sell (despite my having said I was not buying right then and telling that salesperson to dump me for any other customer coming in) and being told to "check with my husband," I knew that wasn't the dealership for me. So I went to Patrick, and it was entirely the opposite experience. We originally spoke to Adam, who since moved over to Mini, and he handed us off to Brian Parker when I was ready to buy. Both of them were great during the initial conversations, when I was asking about the car and timing and how things might work if we had to order the car. There was not a microbar of pressure exerted at any time, and Brian was completely forthcoming about the entire process. At the time of sale, I was prepared for every single slimy tactic I've ever experienced in my prior car-buying experiences, and man, did I over-prepare! Not a single maneuver. It was amazing. I even got a better price than I thought I could, and I didn't have to negotiate much for it - they came right out with almost the perfect deal, sharing cost for transporting the car from the East Coast (just had to niggle a little over the trade-in). At delivery, no tricks then, either. The car was exactly what I wanted. Brian remembered the one thing I forgot in the old car while emptying it (iPass) and even had fasteners for me. Financing went smoothly with Basil, and the Genius walk-thru by Stephanie was handy to get started (and I've been studying up ever since). I strongly recommend Brian (and Adam, if you're in the market for a Mini) and Patrick as a whole. Here's hoping my service experience mirrors that of my sales experience. read more

I had a great experience with Dimitri who leased me a top of the line Mini Cooper in a few hours explaining me everything and with Basil in the financial department who, after me pushing him, made me save almost $100 a month.
