You really just have to try everything on and not assume it will or won't fit. This particular location is quite small in comparison to locations in other cities. They rarely have what I'm looking for so I end up buying mostly online and just returning here if it doesn't fit (you cannot exchange unless they have it in-store). I agree with other Yelpers' sentiment about the workers. Service is subpar. They are completely disconnected from the customer service aspect of retail. I may get a greeting upon arrival, but usually that doesn't happen. I usually feel like I'm bothering them when I ask a question. I hope St. Louis adds another store in Frontenac or West County. It has a nice aesthetic to it. - Restrooms were decently clean. Cons - Returns can have a long wait, be sure that you have a receipt or a email pulled up. That too, and because maybe ten other people just so happen to have to return stuff on that specific time and day for some reason. - Trash cans were overfilling, I mean overfilling. I wish that the janitor service here could improve. - Some staff tend to be impatient, definitely. There are some good eggs, but some can just be meanies. - Some prices were unfair in my opinion. It's not their fault, but I just wish that some brands could lower their prices. I do still enjoy shopping here, but I definitely think there is more to be improved. Which, in the policy she sent me it stated that processing was 1-2 business days and shipping was up to 10 business days. However, my order is still in processing after 14 days and nobody is willing to look into the issue further. Also, if you want to talk to an agent on the live chat option, you better be prepared to sit and wait and don't leave that page or your computer. Each time I leave the page for more than a coupe of minutes it ends the chat and I have to start all over again, even though there are 20-50 people ahead of me in queue. It has happened to me 2 time in the past week. Today when I entered the chat waiting room there were 83 people ahead of me and when it got down to 53 people ahead of me I left the page to do some work while I was waiting, I came back in 3-5 minutes and it had ended. When I opened up another chat I was then placed at #99 in queue and am currently toggling back and forth every 60 seconds so I don't lose my spot. I had a similar issue 2 days ago when I tried reaching out. I get it that people are busy and everyone is doing the best they can given the current pandemic, but at least fix your system so that we can at least get assistance. And some agents that are actually willing to look into issues wouldn't hurt either. User's recommendation: Be cautious.

Here's the run down: Torrid used to be the fat chicks answer to Hot Topic. Over the years they have shifted from goth to a more sophisticated style. I wouldn't say slutty, but they celebrate the curves of there clientele. The prices can be a bit high, but if you watch for sales and shop the clearance racks you can get some great deals. The sizing is 0-4. If it is your first time shopping there talk to an associate and they will help you through sizing. The sizing in their clothes is consistent. The quality is excellent. They carry items from accessories such as rings, scarves, etc. all the way to formal gowns when it is the season. Plus size Halloween costumes, lingerie, jeans, coats, etc. I've been personally pleased with everything I've purchased. They even have shoes and boots. (Major plus that with the current style of taller boots their boots have wider calf measurements.) The staff at both locations are always super friendly and amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've come out of a dressing room asking for help or opinions, and received honest opinions. Not just a sales person trying to sell me more stuff. The down side to Torrid: (This is Torrid in general and not related to either location) There are only two locations in the St. Louis area that I know of. Each carried a very different selection of clothing and the shipments each receives are limited in what they receive. They may only receive 1 of each size in a particular item. (Plus is that if you see an item on Torrid.com and call with a description, the stores will pull the item in your size and hold it for you.) There are a large number of "Internet Only" items on the website. The one plus is if you purchase something online and decide to return it, you can return it to the stores, unless it is clearance. All clearance sales are final. It is well posted in the stores and online. Because the stores are not that large (this one being larger than the other in West County Mall) there is a limited selection on shoes. It seems what they have is what they have, in other words there is not a stash in the back. And shoes can take up a lot of room so the shoe area is sometimes a mess. The lingerie, for whatever reason, doesn't fit me the way I would like it to. I don't know if it is the cut or what. The panties are fine. The bras...no way. And the items they call "bustier" and "corsets" are neither. They lack support, have plastic boning, etc. In my opinion...a waste of money. I'm only giving Torrid four stars because of the limited selection of sizes. Again, not the fault of this location, but I'm because they have limited space. Oh, and price because, well...I want everything to be less expensive. If you are a plus size lady looking for anything from jeans and tshirts, to work attire, or a party dress, give Torrid a shot.

I started to browse the racks; I came specifically for a pair of dress pants. The store seemed to mostly hold casual wear and it was not very easy to identify sections of casual wear, business attire, etc. I'm not sure if it is just this location or all of Lane Bryant, but finding any business attire was difficult as most of the clothing seemed to be just tops (not blouses) and loungewear. Of what was priced, the prices seemed astoundingly high and not even everything had a price. As I browsed, I made my way deeper into the store near the counter where I saw two employees talking to each other. As I continued, they greeted other guests who'd come in that were of similar skin tone as them, but not myself or the few other women that had my skin tone. I found a few pairs of slacks that might work, so I approached the staff to inquire on fitting rooms. I was told to just pick a room and she pointed toward a corner of the store. I pulled a few pants off the rack in the fitting room also, where you hang what didn't work out, as it was quite full. That fitting room rack is actually where I found the pair that I ended up purchasing. I made the purchase solely in that I didn't feel like going to more stores and the pants I found should work. They had a sale going on for their bras which were 2 for $59, which is a pretty good deal being that most of their bras start around $42 each, and 40% on all other clothing, sleep and swim wear. There is plenty of parking outside but it can get pretty hectic when the parking lot is crowded as it makes it difficult to maneuver getting out.
