Every time I've been in, the vibe has been relaxed, friendly, and normal in the best possible way. No weird energy. No drama. Just good service and a place you actually want to come back to. It's refreshing to walk into a shop where the person behind the counter is thoughtful, confident, and not afraid to be themselves, while still being professional and respectful. You feel like a customer, not a talking point. If you like supporting local businesses run by smart, decent people who know what they're doing, this is an easy yes. I'll keep coming back and recommending it to anyone who asks.

There were no other customers when I arrived. Two employees were at the cash wrap. I was greeted and they asked if I needed help, which I did. One of the women started helping me, but it was grudgingly and she was muttering under her breath. As soon as a third employee started her shift, I was rudely given to her so she could help me. Her name is Cheryl and she was great! She was making sure I didn't leave until I got what I came for. She was friendly and extremely helpful. I don't know how she puts up with that other woman! The store isn't huge but they seemed to have a decent selection in there. While not inexpensive, it wasn't crazy expensive. I'd go back, but I'd want to make sure Cheryl would be there!

Most of the clothes (especially dresses and tops) are geared toward small-chested, skinny chics, neither of which describes moi. However, I've lucked up with more than a few super cute finds. You really just have to try everything on and not assume it will or won't fit. This particular location is quite small in comparison to locations in other cities. They rarely have what I'm looking for so I end up buying mostly online and just returning here if it doesn't fit (you cannot exchange unless they have it in-store). I agree with other Yelpers' sentiment about the workers. Service is subpar. They are completely disconnected from the customer service aspect of retail. I may get a greeting upon arrival, but usually that doesn't happen. I usually feel like I'm bothering them when I ask a question. I hope St. Louis adds another store in Frontenac or West County. In the meantime, I'll come here only if I need to return an online order.

Unfortunately, there weren't any others to exchange it out for and she couldn't find any other chargers. Okay, no big deal, right? A simple refund should do it! Nope! She informed me she couldn't refund me and I'd have to come back tomorrow. Ma'am, no. I'm not leaving the store without a working item or a refund. I asked if I could simply exchange it for something else. She said yes. I could find anything for the exact amount but I was willing to pay more for something else. But I was told she didn't know how to charge me the difference. She kept insisting I should come back. No thank you! She called her manager via phone who tried to persuade me to come back the next day, I stood firm. I wanted a refund or a replacement item. After about 30 minutes of whatever was going on, the manager walked her through the exchange via phone. It shouldn't have taken all of that. I won't be back.

I guess I'm running out of time to review this location. It closes late next month!…read more I've only shopped here a few times and I've never bought anything. It's too fancy/expensive for me. It's like Dillard's, but a fraction of the size/floors, and even more sparsely merchandised. Positives: The staff gives you plenty of space. The store is never crowded. Um, maybe those sound negative... I didn't mean it that way. I visited today hoping to see some sort of a going out of business sale. I adore those. No such thing. Only an anniversary sale worded something like "prices go up August 4." What an original way to communicate such.

I actually haven't, because that's creepy, but let's just say that I tend to shop here a lot. Nordstrom Rack! Okay, Where do I start? Pros: - Wide variety of merchandise, lots to choose from. - Well organized shelfs, not much out of place. - Easy to navigate, arrows and signs all that other jazz really help. - They're not understaffed. That's a problem I see in most retail, but there is help in almost every corner of the store. - Presentation. Store seemed clean, organized and the way they present merchandise is awesome. It has a nice aesthetic to it. - Restrooms were decently clean. Cons - Returns can have a long wait, be sure that you have a receipt or a email pulled up. That too, and because maybe ten other people just so happen to have to return stuff on that specific time and day for some reason. - Trash cans were overfilling, I mean overfilling. I wish that the janitor service here could improve. - Some staff tend to be impatient, definitely. There are some good eggs, but some can just be meanies. - Some prices were unfair in my opinion. It's not their fault, but I just wish that some brands could lower their prices. I do still enjoy shopping here, but I definitely think there is more to be improved. Other than that, keep up the good work. A decent retail chain.

I placed an order over 14 days ago that still shows processing. When I contacted customer support…read moreabout it all they did was send me a link to their processing and shipping policy. Which, in the policy she sent me it stated that processing was 1-2 business days and shipping was up to 10 business days. However, my order is still in processing after 14 days and nobody is willing to look into the issue further. Also, if you want to talk to an agent on the live chat option, you better be prepared to sit and wait and don't leave that page or your computer. Each time I leave the page for more than a coupe of minutes it ends the chat and I have to start all over again, even though there are 20-50 people ahead of me in queue. It has happened to me 2 time in the past week. Today when I entered the chat waiting room there were 83 people ahead of me and when it got down to 53 people ahead of me I left the page to do some work while I was waiting, I came back in 3-5 minutes and it had ended. When I opened up another chat I was then placed at #99 in queue and am currently toggling back and forth every 60 seconds so I don't lose my spot. I had a similar issue 2 days ago when I tried reaching out. I get it that people are busy and everyone is doing the best they can given the current pandemic, but at least fix your system so that we can at least get assistance. And some agents that are actually willing to look into issues wouldn't hurt either. User's recommendation: Be cautious.

I'm addicted to Torrid and have been shopping here for years. The manager of this location…read morerecognizes me when I come in. I don't know if that's good or bad. Haha. Here's the run down: Torrid used to be the fat chicks answer to Hot Topic. Over the years they have shifted from goth to a more sophisticated style. I wouldn't say slutty, but they celebrate the curves of there clientele. The prices can be a bit high, but if you watch for sales and shop the clearance racks you can get some great deals. The sizing is 0-4. If it is your first time shopping there talk to an associate and they will help you through sizing. The sizing in their clothes is consistent. The quality is excellent. They carry items from accessories such as rings, scarves, etc. all the way to formal gowns when it is the season. Plus size Halloween costumes, lingerie, jeans, coats, etc. I've been personally pleased with everything I've purchased. They even have shoes and boots. (Major plus that with the current style of taller boots their boots have wider calf measurements.) The staff at both locations are always super friendly and amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've come out of a dressing room asking for help or opinions, and received honest opinions. Not just a sales person trying to sell me more stuff. The down side to Torrid: (This is Torrid in general and not related to either location) There are only two locations in the St. Louis area that I know of. Each carried a very different selection of clothing and the shipments each receives are limited in what they receive. They may only receive 1 of each size in a particular item. (Plus is that if you see an item on Torrid.com and call with a description, the stores will pull the item in your size and hold it for you.) There are a large number of "Internet Only" items on the website. The one plus is if you purchase something online and decide to return it, you can return it to the stores, unless it is clearance. All clearance sales are final. It is well posted in the stores and online. Because the stores are not that large (this one being larger than the other in West County Mall) there is a limited selection on shoes. It seems what they have is what they have, in other words there is not a stash in the back. And shoes can take up a lot of room so the shoe area is sometimes a mess. The lingerie, for whatever reason, doesn't fit me the way I would like it to. I don't know if it is the cut or what. The panties are fine. The bras...no way. And the items they call "bustier" and "corsets" are neither. They lack support, have plastic boning, etc. In my opinion...a waste of money. I'm only giving Torrid four stars because of the limited selection of sizes. Again, not the fault of this location, but I'm because they have limited space. Oh, and price because, well...I want everything to be less expensive. If you are a plus size lady looking for anything from jeans and tshirts, to work attire, or a party dress, give Torrid a shot.

This was my first visit to a Lane Bryant store and I'd never shopped it online before either…read more Walking in, I didn't see any employees. I started to browse the racks; I came specifically for a pair of dress pants. The store seemed to mostly hold casual wear and it was not very easy to identify sections of casual wear, business attire, etc. I'm not sure if it is just this location or all of Lane Bryant, but finding any business attire was difficult as most of the clothing seemed to be just tops (not blouses) and loungewear. Of what was priced, the prices seemed astoundingly high and not even everything had a price. As I browsed, I made my way deeper into the store near the counter where I saw two employees talking to each other. As I continued, they greeted other guests who'd come in that were of similar skin tone as them, but not myself or the few other women that had my skin tone. I found a few pairs of slacks that might work, so I approached the staff to inquire on fitting rooms. I was told to just pick a room and she pointed toward a corner of the store. I pulled a few pants off the rack in the fitting room also, where you hang what didn't work out, as it was quite full. That fitting room rack is actually where I found the pair that I ended up purchasing. I made the purchase solely in that I didn't feel like going to more stores and the pants I found should work. I am going to try them on again at home and they may be returned because I don't feel they're worth the price. I'll NEVER return to THIS Lane Bryant or ANY again.

The young lady that assisted me today helped me with finding bras that fit my needs and even helped get me fitted for new bras.
