Patrice has been there for me throughout my pregnancy journey, I'm so grateful to have her in my support system. She is caring and intuitive and so good at what she does - and provides holistic care, prompting what I should know about my pregnancy that Dr's don't. Every session feels worthwhile - I'll go back to her for postpartum care and future pregnancy care as well. My husband and I had been TTC our second child for 6 months with no results when my sister suggested acupuncture. I sought out recommendations from local parenting groups and Patrice Hapke's name came up time and again. I started going in for regular treatments two months before my first appointment with an infertility clinic. We'll never know if it was the acupuncture, the herbs, or the IUI itself, but we conceived our second baby on our first IUI treatment. I continued treatments with her throughout my first trimester, then returned a few times towards the end of my third trimester to ensure baby was correctly positioned for labor and delivery. More importantly, regular treatments with Patrice quickly became highlights for me. She was supportive, encouraging, and empowering during a phase of vulnerability and uncertainty for me. Patrice reminded me to trust my body and reassured me that I wasn't "broken." Treatments with her felt like they were healing my mind and soul as much as they were addressing my physical needs (but maybe that's also because they were a quiet, peaceful reprieve from a very energetic toddler). I am forever grateful to Patrice for the many ways she provided care to me. read more

Patrice is an amazing professional! Caring, attentive and insightful. She attunes to your emotional and mental state and adjusts treatment every time based on what you need. And she is a wonderful person too, she helped me through one of the hardest periods of my life like no one else. Cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

Patrice is wonderful. After multiple fertility-related issues and surgery, Patrice has been a steady, reassuring, and hopeful presence. She is compassionate and very skilled and takes the time to understand what I'm going through, and explain the treatment. I have been seeing Patrice weekly for a few months and have already noticed positive changes. Although she is not in-network for my insurance, I appreciate her working with me through sliding scale payments, and being transparent about billing. Overall, Patrice has been an integral part of healing, both physically and emotionally, and I would highly recommend her. read more

Patrice is magic. Not only did she help me conceive after three years of trying, she also healed other discomforts during my pregnancy. My baby came a week early, just as I requested. I don't know what else to say but BOOK! She's so so wonderful and very knowledgeable. Trust her expertise, she knows what she's doing! read more

I was having a hard time with nausea and everything food aversion related during my first trimester. After doing some internet searches, and seeing Patrice's recommendation off a new mom Facebook group, I decided to give Patrice's acupuncture practice a try. Patrice's clinic is relaxing and quiet, and from the first session, I felt at ease in her hands. I am typically not one to fall asleep anywhere (and especially when I was feeling nauseas) but I do - it's a combination of how comfortable Patrice makes me feel, plus the quiet environment, a little aromatherapy - overall, it's something I look forward to. I am now in my second trimester, feeling good but still seeing Patrice (although not as much) and I will continue seeing her through third trimester. I highly recommend anyone looking to try prenatal acupuncture with come see Patrice! read more

I have gone to Patrice for my last two pregnancies. She helped me get on track with my cycles/ovulation, which I truly believe helped me get pregnant. Then during my pregnancies, she has shown me amazing care. I had high-risk pregnancies due to a condition called cholestasis in pregnancy and gestational diabetes. She has successfully treated me for both. I recommend Patrice to anyone thinking about acupuncture. You won't regret it! read more

Patrice is so thorough, kind, and creative. She creates a comfortable and healing environment that puts me at ease. Along with relaxing acupuncture she uses aromatherapy and other techniques like cupping and topicals. I feel heard by her and she always addresses the issues most important to me for my healing. I leave every appointments with her feeling SO much better. I am very grateful to have been recommended to her by a friend. I recommend her to anyone in need of healing, especially those who are pregnant. She's provided a lot of relief for the pregnant people I have recommend her to and has even helped promote turning in breech babies! read more

Do yourself a favor , come to Patrice for your acupuncture treatments! If you haven't ever gotten one, then set an appointment with her and you'll get hooked. If you have gotten acupuncture in the past but didn't get what the fuss is, get an appointment with her. My examples of her magic work are too many to list but one of my favorites is few months ago I hiked maple pass loop to see the larches and on the way back twisted my ankle. Two days later I came to Patrice and she worked on my ankle and bam. That weekend I was back out on the mountains. Love her! read more

I cannot more highly recommend Patrice's acupuncture services. I went to see her during my first trimester for primarily nausea treatment, but also hormonal, mood and anxiety. It was highly effective and I credit it for overcoming my morning sickness sooner than expected. She is highly intuitive, caring, knowledgeable and creative. I looked forward to my sessions weekly and always left feeling more relaxed and energized. I have recommended her to several family and friends who also sing her praises. Highly recommend. read more

Patrice is absolutely amazing! I'm convinced that seeing her for acupuncture after years of fertility issues led to my first pregnancy. She is so attentive and thoughtful in her care delivery and her assessments are thorough. She has helped me with pregnancy, endometriosis pain, and even an old back injury flare-up. I absolutely recommend her services to those looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable acupuncturist. read more

I have been seeing Patrice for 5 weeks now. She has been extremely personable while fluently knowledgeable as I listed off so many different ways pregnancy has impacted my body (hip pain, swelling, depression etc.) When I leave I feel like all the magic (pressure points/energy) of my body has been supported. Cannot recommended enough! Jessica read more

I'm so thankful I found Patrice! During my journey of trying to conceive, I kept hearing about the benefits of acupuncture. I enjoyed each visit - I found acupuncture to be incredibly relaxing. But, more importantly, Patrice has been supportive, caring, and an overall advocate for my health. It's rare to find someone in health care who takes so much time to listen and will personally reach out to other providers if you are in need of a referral. I have recommended her to both friends and family, not only for pregnancy, but other ailments, as well. read more

Patrice did acupuncture for me throughout my pregnancy and it was so helpful. She really listened to what I was feeling and the sessions were often longer than an hour. Highly recommend! read more

Patrice is amazing! She's had an integral part in conception of my ten-year-old daughter, Marielle. She was taking care of me as I struggled through my infertility and she kept me and my husband at ease the whole time. I am so glad that she is a part of our lives and she continues to provide me care to this day. It's been 12 years of care from Patrice and she will be one of my health care providers for as long as still have me. Thank you Patrice read more

Patrice was such a blessing to me in the final weeks of my pregnancy. I started seeing her when I was 32 weeks pregnant, and she was so helpful in easing my end of pregnancy aches and pains. Sessions with her were the highlight of my week. Being pregnant during the pandemic gave me a lot of anxiety, and I always left my appointments with Patrice feeling so calm and peaceful. I cannot recommend her more! read more

Patrice has been extremely helpful and supportive on our journey to parenthood. She has helped me advocate for myself with my doctors and has helped my body be much better prepared for pregnancy. She has a holistic view of the fertility process in a way that none of my doctors have, so her guidance has been extremely helpful in pulling all the pieces together. read more

The billing polices Patrice uses are completely ridiculous and shady. I asked her and her receptionist multiple times how much each of my visits was going to cost. They both responded that each visit is $85 but it depends on how much my insurance covers. So my understanding was that she would bill my insurance $85 and my insurance would cover what they cover and rest would be my responsibility. When I got the bill I was surprised to see that each of my visits were billed between $185-$350! What the hell!? What happened to $85?! When I asked her about this she said that her billing practices are posted clearly on her website and in her office. I still don't see any prices on her website. After numerous emails she explained that she does a sliding scale for people who do not have insurance and that is where the $85 came from. I understand the concept of a sliding scale but why would she tell me that each visit was $85 when she knew that I was paying with insurance? It's completely shady. She then offered to give me a discount on my bill for one complimentary treatment at the rate of (get this!) $85. NONE of my sessions were $85. Also, she left needles in TWO patients while I was waiting for treatment. On a better note, I saw her assistant, Nicole, once who was far more gentle and more forthcoming with information than Patrice. I would recommend paying the $85 cash and bill your insurance on your own. Or better yet, go to Union Center for Healing for acupuncture - not only are their billing policies and prices posted clearly on their website, but they are also super awesome and gentle and unpretentious. read more

I have been a client of Patrice Hapke on and off for 6 years. She helped me deal with pregnancy and postpartum related health issues throughout the births of my two children. Patrice is an extremely knowledgeable practitioner. She brings a warmth and kindness to her practice that help you feel immediately at ease. She is patient and respects where her clients are at, never pushing you in to anything you are not comfortable with. In addition, she bills insurance, making it much easier for those with coverage to use her services. As a parent educator and consultant, I meet a lot of women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I refer clients to her regularly and all have been grateful and happy with her services. read more

Patrice is a gem and an amazing Acupuncturist with healing hands. I have worked with her for a pregnancy in 2017 and 2020. She is calm, kind, caring and truly a miracle worker. During my second pregnancy I had more complications and she not only helped me think through things with a different lens but often opened up her network and made recommendations for other services I was interested in (midwives, doulas, etc). My midwives wanted to medically induce me a week earlier which i wanted to avoid. She not only provided labor prep in the weeks leading up to 39th week, but we had a plan to start induction via acupuncture during that week as well. I was having 2 days of prodromal labor and came in to have treatment, I ended up having my baby that night! I would recommend Patrice to anyone. Acupuncture was very relaxing for me... some of the best naps that I had during my pregnancy and I have loved getting to know Patrice over the years. If you're on the fence about getting acupuncture for anything... I highly recommend you visit her. You will not regret it going to someone with her skill and expertise! read more

I wish I had started seeing Patrice sooner! I had seen a few acupuncturists infrequently before finding Patrice-almost 3 years in to my struggle with infertility and pregnancy loss. I cannot speak highly enough about her! I felt so seen, and heard and finally understood. I honestly think this was what made the difference for us in finally being able to conceive and stay pregnant. I felt so supported mind and body and her techniques were above and beyond any of the other practitioners I'd seen. I can't recommend her enough! read more

I highly recommend Patrice for acupuncture during pregnancy and while trying to conceive! I originally saw her for back pain during my first pregnancy, and the best part of visiting is her holistic approach. She targeted other problem areas in addition to my back pain, whether it was a sore neck or stuff nose. She even started to do labor prep for me when I got closer to my due date. And wouldn't you know, our baby arrived 9 days early! I also saw Patrice for my second pregnancy when we were trying to conceive, and after 4 months of trying I conceived the first month I started seeing her. She's a gem, a pleasure to chit chat with, brings a sense of calm to the pregnancy experience, and getting to relax/nap/meditate on her acupuncture table during treatment is an amazing perk. read more

I cannot recommend Patrice highly enough! I refer all of my pregnant friends to Patrice for her labor prep acupuncture program - 36 weeks is a good time to start. She has helped me gently prepare my body to safely & healthily deliver all three of my babies. In addition to making delivery easier by preparing my pelvis and cervix for labor, other side benefits I received from Patrice's acupuncture treatments included: (1) reduced hip and back pain, (2) eliminated acid reflux, and (3) improved sleep. Patrice is not only very knowledgeable but exudes a warmth and kindness that always puts me at ease. For me, she provides the perfect balance of Eastern medicine (ie, holistic approach) with the Western medicine approach I receive from my OBGYN. read more

+ for acupuncture but - - - for billing. Check the bills sent by this provider against the EOBs your insurance gives you. Also note that if a provider is in-network that they cannot bill you for any charges denied by insurance (this violates their contract with your insurance). read more

I have been a longtime client of Patrice for multiple different things. She has helped me with fertility/hormones/cycle regulation as well as other sports related injury that popped up. I look forward to seeing her each time. She is full of awesome resources and knowledge, always helping me to attain my next health goal! I wasn't sure I would like acupuncture when I first started going, but after seeing Patrice the first time I was sold. I felt comfortable and cared for the whole time! read more

Patrice is amazing! She not only knows what she's doing as far as acupuncture, but she's an incredibly helpful resource for anything fertility or pregnancy-related (including recommendations for local hospitals, doctors, midwives, etc). I went to her for fertility issues and she gave me expert advice - including recommending I see a doctor much sooner than I planned for a condition. That advice was spot on and I got the condition treated much sooner than if I had waited longer as others had recommended. She saved me a lot of time and disappointment. I'm now 3 months pregnant. She's helped immensely with my nausea (acupuncture and advice), and I plan to keep seeing her for issues that are sure to pop up over the next 6 months. Highly recommended!!! read more

My midwife referred me to Patrice when I had sharp pains in my lower back, at about 7 months pregnant. Patrice has been able to address all of my aches and pains, frequently eliminating them after just one or two visits. I've come to spend all week looking forward to acupuncture - Patrice has a great bedside manner, and always seems happy to answer my endless questions. read more

I found Patrice Hapke on the internet when I was searching for an acupuncturist to help with fertility. I met with her in January 2012 after one year of trying to conceive. Patrice not only helped me with my physical needs, but also mental and spiritual. She treats the whole person and has a very non-judgmental loving, caring approach. I was fortunate to conceive naturally 12 months later, which was my goal all along. She never let me give up or doubt my body. She gave me sage advice on how to approach my fertility and conception. I appreciate everything she did for me in trying to conceive and will continue my relationship with her during my pregnancy and beyond. As for business practices, I felt Patrice's pricing and billing to be fair and up-front. My insurance company only covers 6 sessions, so she allowed me to pay a reduced rate rather than the higher rate my insurance company allows and would have paid her if it did not all go toward my deductible. That was above-and-beyond what she needed to do. I highly recommend Patrice to any woman trying to conceive. She has a wealth of knowledge and caring approach to her craft. read more

Just wanted to write an update to my previous review. I ended up seeing Patrice through my entire pregnancy, which was so helpful for some of those "par for the course" symptoms I was suffering from - foot cramps, restlessness, heartburn. She totally helped! Also, and most importantly, during my 3rd trimester I went to Patrice so she could help assist in positioning the baby for an easier birth experience. It was great. She even put little stickers on specific pressure points on my ankle so that during labor, all I had to do was push on these, breathe and it really made the whole experience easier. Again, I whole-heartedly recommend Patrice for fertility issues as well as Pregnancy related care! read more

My doctor suggested Patrice as "worth a try" to address my infertility. What a GREAT suggestion. 6 weeks of treatment to support our next attempt (3rd try) at an IUI, and I got pregnant! I was wary of acupuncture initially but - Patrice is awesome. Patient, explains it all - definitely drop her a line. read more

I started seeing Patrice last year and could not be happier with her treatments. I was interested in acupuncture to get relief from chronic headaches and occasional shoulder/ upper back fatigue. The results have been amazing! My headaches (that I've experienced on a regular basis for at least 15yrs) are virtually gone. Additionally, I've absolutely experienced benefits throughout my entire body. After leaving I am so relaxed and at peace. I would recommend Patrice without reservation. read more

I was referred to Patrice by my doctor for pregnancy related pain. She was great and really helped me get through a rough third trimester. The billing practices were upfront but I also know how my insurance works. She was thoughtful and insightful which I believe helped me have my baby in a more natural, spontaneous way rather than being induced. I have recommended friends to her and they also speak highly of her. Go here!!! read more

I am so grateful for the care, kindness, and expertise that Patrice provides through Acupuncture for Pregnancy. I began working with Patrice three years ago after a late first trimester pregnancy loss, as I was trying to regulate my cycle again. This was successful and I continued to work with Patrice through another pregnancy loss, an ectopic pregnancy, and finally a healthy, happy high-risk pregnancy that led to my dear daughter's birth. I attribute much of my healing - both physically and emotionally - to Patrice's excellent care. She offered skilled treatments for every complication that came up, including helping to induce labor through acupuncture when I learned I'd need an induction at 36 days 6 weeks. My doctors were impressed with how far I was dilated when the artificial induction began, and I had a very positive birth experience thanks in part to Patrice's care. I will continue to see her for the next steps of my journey as a mother and strongly recommend her services to anyone seeking acupuncture for fertility, pregnancy, pregnancy loss recovery, or general wellness. read more

When my husband and I were not getting pregnant after 6 months, I decided to try acupuncture. I found Patrice Hapke and Acupuncture For Pregnancy via my insurance search engine (Group Health, now Kaiser Permanente). From the first appointment, I felt comfortable and well-informed about everything Patrice does. She has a calming manner, and offers plenty of suggestions and reassurance. This was my first ever acupuncture experience, and it has totally convinced me! After treatments I feel stronger, with less pain, easier digestion, better circulation, and a sense of calm. I'm delighted to keep seeing Patrice during my pregnancy, and I expect her care will continue keeping me and my baby in good health all the way. I have found the billing to be fair and easy to work with through insurance. Patrice does not deal with all of that herself, but her assistant (who I have only met by phone) is excellent and very thorough. I've never had a billing problem. Also, I have appreciated her flexible scheduling and her late evening on Tuesdays. It's been great to be able to take care of my health without taking time off work. Thanks Patrice! read more

I have been seeing Patrice weekly - I can't recommend her enough. She's very skilled and I find acupuncture has been awesome for my nausea and digestive issues during my first trimester especially, and she continues to be a great source of support as my body changes. She is also very well respected - I have mentioned her to my ND as well as several midwives I was interviewing and she has a great reputation. Bonus - she's just a lovely human being! read more

I began seeing Patrice a year ago while trying to conceive, and I absolutely could not be more thrilled with the entire experience. I had some previous acupuncture experience that had been positive, but Patrice offered not only fertility support treatment, but wonderful education about other ways I could enhance my fertility and overall health, including herbs, stretches, resources to connect to, etc. She is an incredibly warm, caring person who I trusted fully and I left my treatments feeling relaxed, centered and energetic. I became pregnant shortly after beginning fertility treatments with Patrice, and shortly thereafter discovered I was carrying TWINS, so I continued to see Patrice throughout the pregnancy to support my comfort and health. I found her treatments particularly helpful with my relentless, epic morning sickness. My babies were born premature at 33 weeks and had a long NICU stay, during which time I was pumping to build milk supply. I worked with Patrice to enhance my milk production with great results. I have referred many friends to Patrice's practice and could not think more highly of her work and professionalism. Another reviewer mentioned problems with billing practices. I can say that in my experience Patrice and her office support person were always clear, professional and honest regarding payments/billing, and in fact Patrice saw me with sliding scale fees after my insurance benefit was exhausted and I could not afford full-cost treatments. I never had any negative administrative experience whatsoever. read more
