I've observed that people reserve their five-star reviews for when things go well. I understand why.  However, I'm going to write this based on my experience thus far. I'm tempted to call out specific names, but instead I'm going to talk about each team that I've worked with as I think on a whole you are likely to have this experience whether it is Bellevue or Seattle location. Scheduling/Appointments: when you call please be sure to dial the correct number to get transferred to the right team. One time I waited for 50 minutes to schedule an appointment because I clicked new patient instead of existing. Once you're matched with someone on the appointment team they ask really good questions, and if they're not able to answer the specifics of appointments for you will make notes for the nursing team to respond as soon as possible. They're all very polite from what I've experienced. Nursing: one of the things I love the most about the nursing team is how throughout this process they ask me how I'm feeling, and I can tell that they're not just checking in on my symptoms but also are genuinely interested with concern. They also seem to get along really well. Whether it was calling to check in with me, giving me follow-up messages and instructions, or actually being with me for appointments I always felt support and safe. Physicians: I'll be completely honest my preference is female physician when it comes to this particular area, not because I do not like male doctors but because their perception of the process is different because they literally cannot physically relate. For example, I did a procedure that was incredibly painful, and one of the male physicians recommended that I do it again because he didn't know exactly how painful it could be. That said all of the physicians will answer as many questions as you ask and stay on the call with you for as long as needed. Now this may not be so great when you're waiting for your appointment, but when you're that person who has a lot of questions it truly does make a difference.  Anesthesiologist: The anesthesiologist I was assigned to seems to have a really good sense of humor, and had an energy of confidence and competence that I would be safe and that my heart and breathing would be monitored carefully throughout the procedure. I automatically trusted her having only met her once. Surgeon: I ended up with a male surgeon, which I experienced trepidation around for aforementioned reasons. However the way he introduced himself to me maintaining eye contact, going over the process in layman terms, and being gentle and encouraging when I expressed anxiety also made me feel a sense of trust. There was a Stern looking his eyes, but it wasn't from a domineering place rather a confident place. He said only what he thought was necessary and left room for questions but wanted to make sure we started on time which I appreciated. Phlebotomists: I've worked with this team the most and I'm going to be completely truthful with you. When the phlebotomist is a person of color, the likelihood of them checking for veins and finding a vein and drawing blood the first time is higher and more likely, in my experience. That said, my recommendation is to breathe through injections and drink lots of water before any blood draws (unless they tell you to fast),so you have a higher chance of not needing to be pricked more than once. Records: I've only worked with via messages and they get back to me in a day or less, which is awesome. You don't just receive your records, you have to request them anytime you have an appointment. So after every appointment I reach out and they've been okay with that so far. Billing: After you come up with a plan with your physician and nursing team, Billing will both call and send detailed info about what's covered & what isn't. They're available check ins and after meds we're ordered they helped with claims. They're very responsive. If you read this far, good for you. ALERT for your IVF. If you have fibroids, do NOT go to this clinic. They couldn't even locate my ovaries, didn't read my IVF doctor's orders carefully, and focused on measuring fibroids instead of my follicles. The technicians don't read the order. Pinnacle Fertility (formerly SRM) completely ignored the monitoring instructions from my IVF physician. They did not perform the required follicle count or lining measurement. Instead, they measured fibroids--irrelevant to my case--and sent an incomplete report to the wrong clinic and incomplete. I had to repeat the ultrasound elsewhere the next day. The technician was distracted, training another staff member without prior consent, and clearly had not reviewed the order. They simply do not pay attention, do not follow instructions, and do not provide the level of care IVF patients need. I do not recommend this clinic for anyone undergoing fertility treatment. Also, ultrasound are not performed by physicians but by technicians who often can not locate the ovaries and then blame on the patient and if La Thanya apologized for this mistake don't believe it. read more

My wife recently underwent an oocyte retrieval as part of our IVF journey, and I was extremely disappointed with how the medical staff handled the experience -- especially in how completely I was excluded. No one communicated with me before the procedure. I wasn't updated on what was happening, how long it would take, or how she was doing. She was understandably nervous, and I wasn't even allowed to be with her beforehand to offer support. After the procedure, I was left waiting with no information. She came out dazed and uncomfortable, and I still wasn't brought in to be with her or even told how it went. There was zero acknowledgment of us as a couple going through this together. I have no qualms with my service, was it amazing no? But I was also healthy and chose to have egg retrieval / IVF so I was an easy patient. My issue is that for years now I've wanted to dispose of my embryos and they make the process unclear and unhelpful. I called in July 2024 to assure I'm not charged another $840 for a service I don't want anymore... they responded in a patient portal (not even a copy to my email to help people have better reminders), and in the message cited I need to sign a consent form, which was then never provided and still isn't in my account (after today's call they'll provide it), but I am now yet responsible for another useless year of storage so they can pocket $840. Had the worst experience with Pinnacle Fertility / SRM / whatever they are called. TLDR: nobody explains what is going on or what to expect, you have to fight to get your own appointments scheduled and your medications prescribed (even as simple as birth control pills!), absolutely no ownership / no continuity between different doctors / nurses, sometimes straight out misleading information. Everything started off great - I had my initial appointment with Dr. Letterie, found him very attentive and understanding. Did the bloodword / ultrasound and had another appointment with Dr. Letterie - he confirmed everything's OK and we should start whenever my period comes. The good part stops here - never saw Dr. Letterie again throughout next 1-2 months, never spoke to him again, couldn't get a appointment scheduled with him. Part 1 of the problem - the nurse/navigator that the clinic positions as the central part of your care team who "guides you on your journey" - I don't think she was aware that this is her role. Couldn't get most of my questions answered; took at least a day or two to schedule appointments after I saw Dr. Letterie so at some point I stopped waiting for her to do that; didn't care about my timeline and calendar at all. Most illustrative example - the week of my expected start of the period I still do not have my birth control prescription. My navigator - Danae - does absolutely nothing about. No follows up, no questions, no reminders, no messages/calls/anything. I start messaging her the week of my expected period - she finally tells me she still didn't get financial clearance from their Finance team, even though I paid the full bill a week before. I start calling / messaging financial team separately - turns out I did not sign the quote (forget the fact that I paid $9,950 based on that quote - not having a signature means they aren't giving you "financial clearance"). Then it turns out that Danae doesn't think I should take the pills at all, because I used to have migraines as a teenager, 15 years ago (AFTER Dr. Letterie told me that I should take the pills and Danae will give me the prescription). One call to the clinic and the doctor on-call tells me that Danae was wrong and gives me a prescription for progestin-only pills. Only after I talked to financial team separately and then to another doctor separately and essentially did her job of "connecting me to different departments", Danae was finally able to send my prescription to the pharmacy. Part 2 of the problem - you provider can disappear in the middle of process without any warning. Dr. Letterie knew I'm planning to start the egg freezing cycle in September. He knew the exact day I expected to start birth control, he had the exact day I expected to come in for suppression check and start my stimulation. After everything went wrong and suppression check showed my estrogen is still high, he was nowhere to be found - all of my bloodwork/ultrasounds were reviewed by other doctors and I was unable to schedule an appointment with him to understand what is happening. At some point a nurse said he is just on vacation. I believe a simple "I will be away during the 2 weeks that you are planning to start your cycle, so you might need to see another provider then" takes 20 seconds to say and is part of basic curtesy - which Dr. Letterie still decided to ignore. Part 3 of the problem - nobody owns anything and nobody is responsible for anything, nobody knows anything, different parts of the team do not even seem to talk to each other. Most illustrative example (though by far not the only one) - I came in for a suppression check for the second time a week after the first check up (as the clinic told me to postpone stimulation). When I come in for ultrasound, I am greeted by 3 (!!!) women who ask me to confirm if I am on day 5 of my stimulation. After their own team told me not to start hormonal injections the week before. After I scheduled additional ultrasound and bloodwork appointment to do a suppression check again. And now there are 3 of them to do a simple ultrasound and none of them know what I came into the clinic for. Another example - after that checkup, the nurse calls me to tell results and says that I have a large follicle, I need to do a trigger shot to stimulate ovulation tonight and hopefully in a week everything will be great. She could not explain anything to me and couldn't answer my questions, so I insisted on scheduling an appointment with a new provider next morning. During that appointment, he tells me that it can actually be a simple cyst, not a follicle - and could take 1-2 months to resolve. At no point did the nurse mention that - so if I didn't insist on an additional appoinment, how would I even know what is going on with my body? AND to top it off, then I get additional $125 bill for the appointment - which the clinic didn't even consider sending to my insurance first. read more

I have to agree with all the 1 star reviews. My experience here was heartbreaking. I worked with srm for a year plus. Then one disappointment after another. Especially when I talked to the ivf doctor who didn't care at all. She made me feel like i was too old (38) felt like she didn't care to help me. Otherwise staff their was caring an friendly. I would give negative ratings if I can. I am trying to simply sign consent form. The response we get is register at their new portal. There is no option to register. The workers there do not want to do any simple tasks. I try to pay for remaining balance but when trying to pay there is no balance. I left multiple messages and called their finance department but no response. All response we get is you did not pay remaining balance and did not sign consent so we can't proceed but they offer no way I can practically do either. These money hungry lazy workers are the worst. Had an appointment with Paul Lin for a second opinion. He arrived more than 15 minutes late. When asked why he would recommend a certain protocol, he said (in his exact words) there's no scientific reason behind it, he's just going to try different protocols randomly until something works. I am disappointed in his attitude and lack of communication skills like some of the other reviews have pointed out. I was shocked to witness his lack of scientific reasoning and approach. I found the quality of medical services he provided during the consultation unacceptable and would urge patients on the same journey to stay away from him. The consultation lasted for about 3-4 minutes and ended after I pointed out he's not adding any value. I have nothing to say about the clinic because I've decided not to go ahead with them after the appointment with Paul Lin. 1st is the billing. I find their whole billing situation to be somewhat confusing. I bet this is by design. 2nd, SRM is the epitome of western medicine - every procedure is expensive and there's always costly medications with adverse side effects involved. For example: Leuprolide is a drug commonly prescribed during infertility treatment. But if you read up on Leuprolide you can start to see the highly probable chance that there is collusion going on between the drug manufacturer and the FDA; no doubt. This is not a safe drug. And one doctor said he prescribes Clomid "like its water". This did not sit well with me and should've been an indication to go elsewhere. Our very first consultation didn't go well in my opinion. Instead going over all options, such as eating well (nutrition), exercises, environmental changes,...etc, everything was all about the latest/common drugs being used. PS - In my opinion, these doctors are very proficient in what they've learned from their medical training - prescribe FDA-approved drugs and perform costly procedures. read more

They care more about the money than the result. the clinic will offer or perform the treatment that makes more money for them than a treatment that might work better for you. For example, after my first IVF treatment, it should have been clear to the medical team that IUI was more suitable for me but they kept doing IVF which didn't work at all. After milking the IVF income from my insurance they changed the treatment to IUI. The worst part of the treatment is that during IVF they'll suggest you buy expensive medication out of pocket because there is no time to wait for your insurance to ship the medication for you. I went in for testing and thought all was fine - except after checking in for what I was told would be a short appointment, I was about 4-5 others check-in and be called before me. After about an hour of waiting and asking for an update - and told to "keep waiting", I got a call from the office telling me I was late for the appointment I had just checked-in for and was waiting in the waiting area for. I went in for two tests, and both tests had my name and birthdate both wrong, which I was told was probably my fault. They were both corrected - twice, after being mistyped yet again, even after I gave them my ID card. I was never given an update of when I should expect results back, no phone call, no time-table was given when I left the office. When I asked the front desk, they said "we'll call you soon" which is a very vague comment for a medical test. We're over a week past testing, I have no idea if they even have a record of my visit, and I was not even contacted with the next steps. I've done two egg freezing cycles at SRM Westlake and my experience been very pleasant. I'm extremely grateful for my assigned nurse Paige, she's very responsive, professional, and compassionate. My doctor is Dr Cho. I've picked her because my health insurance nurse told me she's the most asked for and she's on their gold standard list or something like that. And I can see why - Dr.Cho is amazing. It's important to have a doctor you feel comfortable with,as they get to pick when you are ready, they get to decide if you need your meds adjustments or not. The only downside is that you don't get to ask your doctor to perform the procedure on you on The Day, as it depends on how your body responds to the meds, thus they can't predict exactly if your doctor is doing procedures that day or not. read more

She'd been going through IUI fertility treatments, with a pregnancy that ended up being ectopic. Being treated with Methotrexate, her HCG was coming down within about 5 weeks, then it started to increase. She made an appointment for evaluation, anxious and terrified and was excited to see Dr. Lin as he is supposedly is a specialist who would give her hope and encouragement. My daughter was very emotional and crying and he offered ZERO compassion towards her. despite the fact that he SHOULD be aware of this emotional journey, especially given the fact it was ectopic. My daughter asked questions, and he was annoyed, belittling and offered no support. His answer was always," I don't know, you haven't had surgery," (is he a salesman??). The final cry out for hope was when she asked if anything prevented her from getting pregnant again. His reply was , "NO.. but I'm concerned about another ectopic because this tells me your tubes are damaged." Well, how does he know when she "Hasn't had surgery yet"? I urge anyone to seek other providers within SRM and would not allow Dr. Lin to see my gerbil, let alone my daughter. I feel his demeanor, conduct and disrespect to patients needs a board review by his peers. He has absolutely no business whatsoever working in such a personal, emotional and at times devastating field where the only thing patients have at times is a glimmer of hope, in which he offers only despair. As an RN for twenty five years myself, knowing doctors all have different personalities and bedside manners, I can say without hesitancy, that Dr. Paul Lin maybe needs to pursue a job where human relation skills are not a factor. SRM is the best of the best you could seek and want to be successful in your fertility journey on the market! Life changer! I mean, I was a transferred patient from other fertility agency to SRM. Before Dr. Nancy Klein's pre-cycle assessment, I was never told AMH as an essential indicator of fertility needs to be tested. Dr. Nancy did it with her solid expertise and besides that important scientific data, she also determined that on my previous meds list it needs to be erased with that painful oral medication for OHSS, which absolutely doesn't apply to me as an individual. I was almost passed out during took that oral med night and can't stop vomiting during the unnecessary prescription of that oral meds in another facility. Dr. Nancy, What a life savior! I also feel so grateful to the wonderful SRM whole team, from nurses to the final surgeon Dr. Letterie and Anesthesiologist Dr. Gupta. The whole surgery process was almost without pain and no side effects after the 15 - 20 mins long surgery. Even didn't find bleeding after that. I was just totally asleep and after I woke up it was already one hour passed! I feel Dr. Letterie and Dr. Gupta are extremely experienced surgeons. SRM has a lot of surgeons and they are on rotation per the scheduled calendar. My feeling is they are all gonna be good if you are in SRM's hands. On the whole, the whole journey is pretty precise and easy to follow. Nurses are very RESPONSIVE and KIND! I want to recommend it from the bottom of my heart as I normally wouldn't post any reviews even after a good experience. But this is LIFE SAVIOR for WOMEN to achieve their family dream! Gays with compassionate carriers need not apply. SRM's screening processes are biased towards heterosexual married couples. If you are LGBT this is not the IVF clinic for you. My husband and I selected SRM because of their reputation and success rate. Instead, they needlessly wasted months of our time, emotional energy, and $5k. At the initial SRM physician consult we discussed our compassionate carrier (who was present) and whether she would be a good fit as a surrogate. The physician explained the screening process and said while she was a bit older if her medical screenings came back fine that they would waive the age requirement and that he didn't see any major issues. We proceeded to pay them $5k to screen all parties. Went through months of testing and counseling. They approved the surrogate at the first stage and ordered all her medical tests. To our knowledge, all the medical test came back normal or acceptable. But, in the end the "committee" denied our surrogate for reasons (e.g. age) which were made clear to SRM from day 1. No new reason or unknown medical condition was cited as a reason for denial. I am left with the firm conviction that SRM's compassionate carrier screening process is outright discriminatory or at least bias against LGBT couples. They have exacting standards for surrogates which they apply regardless if they are compassionate or a paid surrogate. Further, if the surrogate was my wife and we wanted a donor egg IVF none of this would have been an issue -- SRM would have gladly taken our money and done donor egg IVF for us as a straight married couple. Instead, they chose to string us along, make false promises, and then discriminate against us or make biased decisions. I couldn't be more disappointed with SRM. At a minimum, SRM should have been upfront with us and told us that they believed our surrogate wouldn't pass screening or that there is a strong chance she wouldn't pass and refer us to another clinic that would have been a better fit. This is by far the most unethical experience I have ever had with any doctor or service provider. LGBTs please stay away from this place. PS - I am not even going to go into our overall "service" experience, needless to say, it also wasn't pleasant. read more

We just only did our initial diagnostic tests in SRM so far but the bill for them is already totally a mess. No one in the financial department is transparent to us about what services are included in a certain bill. The provided charged us for all the services, but we still got double bills for same services again from Lab, genetic tests, etc. And it's hard to fix them. You have to call them, insurance, lab to follow up by yourself. The information are pretty mismatched between each other. Still hesitating whether we will continue the treatment here. Came here for a consultation for my husband, the doctor was rude and condescending. He was less informative than he should have been, and dismissive about concerns. He pushed for a full out of pocket procedure rather than what was covered, and insisted that what was covered and approved he wouldn't perform. To say I'm less than impressed is an understatement. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of customer service and billing mistakes! First of all, we did not get a bill for several months because there was a computer "glitch." Then I had to call multiple times to get someone on the line so I could actually pay the bill. I paid our bill two months ago and keep getting past due notices. So I have tried calling to remedy the situation at least 15 times. I have still never spoken to a person! I have left messages each time I have called. No response. Each call lasts about 6 minutes and then sends you to voicemail automatically. Intermittently you get to hear the obnoxious lady recording telling you about how you "can now pay online!" Thanks so much! I already did that, but apparently there is another "glitch." I have called 5 times today! That's 30 minutes of my day, and I still haven't spoken to a soul! Want to start off by saying that I've been to the Kirkland, Seattle, and Everett locations. Dr. Cho at the Kirkland location is amazing, attentive, and very personable. Dr Klein and her team at the Seattle location are doing a stellar job! I've only been to the Everett location once, but it is beautiful. My wife and I got lucky and got pregnant after our first round of IVF. All staff, nurses, and doctors we dealt with were kind, but professional. I highly recommend SRM, especially after coming from another center where care was truly lacking. I really love that they respond as quickly as possible on the portal messaging system and go into detail about instructions or what's going on in your cycle. The only annoying thing at times was billing. I will say some of our procedures were covered, but we get getting billed for them. I would always have to to call to get it taken care, but I wish someone in finance would have made sure it was right the first time before sending it out. Otherwise, love SRM! read more

My experience over two years was nothing like the negative one-star reviews. The #1 challenge I faced was being old so I did not have much of a chance of success if at all yet I received excellent care. My #1 regret is that I did not go to SRM sooner. Unfortunately physicians are unable to respond to Yelp reviews due to HIPAA. However Dr. Paul Lin is an excellent physician in knowledge, skill, and candor. He is extremely smart and he did not talk down to me nor did I feel rushed to get out of his office. The journey can be very dark at times. A few times I cried in the hallways while walking out but his humor and candor along with my dogs helped me get through it. I don't think it's fair to judge SRM based on personalities. I paid them for results not for their personalities. Nonetheless if I had to do it again I would go to SRM again but sooner. If anyone reads this the #1 piece of advice I would say is do not delay. If I had known what I know now I would have gone to see Dr. Lin 10 years ago. read more

Going through infertility is difficult and emotionally draining but that is not a reason to attack the office or staff. Fertility Medications have side effects and procedures don't always work. Some of these negative reviews are emotionally charged and should not be taken seriously. I have had a great experience with this office. It is run really well. The staff is always responsive to any messages I send via the portal and I always get an appointment with ease. My wait is never longer than 15-20 minutes (which is totally reasonable) most of the time only 5 minutes. At the end of the day you need to take ownership of your medical care as well and SRM provides a lot of support and great treatment plans along the way. read more

I would not recommend SRM to any of my friends going through IVF. First, I hate how at SRM, there is a very low chance that you will get your actual doctor to perform your surgeries. You get whoever is working that day/week. So you spend months planning and discussing your cycle with your doctor and nurse, and then when it comes to D-day, a complete stranger whom you've never met does the most important procedure of all. With that said, I can vouch for the following doctors at SRM: Dr. Klein, Dr. Davis, and Dr. Cho. My experience with Dr. Dudley was horrible. I was told that he had a good bedside manner. I was not given that impression as he was extremely short with me, seemed annoyed that I had complications after the surgery, and his language/demeanor was rude, hasty, and unpleasant. The second thing I really don't like about SRM is the finance staff. Courtney is the worst. She treats patients as if they're cash cows and is completely insensitive about the cost of IVF and how stressful it can be for families. She talks about a $30K pay upfront bill as if it's a run at the grocery store. The manager is not any better. I was offered a 10% discount for my next cycle, then was told that it was only offered because she thought I was paying out of pocket. Either way, it still cuts into MY IVF costs one way or another. This is after I paid a total of $40K out of pocket and got completely nothing out of the experience. When I started, I was told by my doctor that I was the prime candidate. After I got unsuccessful results, I was told by my nurse that it was due to my age. Please do your research and find a fertility clinic that is best for YOU before choosing SRM. This place has so many patients so they do not care whether you come or go. Find a clinic that really cares about your wellbeing and has your best interest. My husband and I went to SRM. It took over a year of IUIs (because they kept missing my ovulation day) and me hassling the nurse to try and do it my way. I knew my body better then they did. You can't talk to your actual doctor. The finance department is horrible!!! We talked to them many times about the price and what we owe. And months later we get bills for everything they said we did not owe. And they lost payment records of ours. Their computer glitched so much that we had to prove many times that we paid. All we got was Rudeness back when we called them out on their mistakes Good part about SRM is I begged and pleaded to change nurses and talk to my Doctor. I told them they need to do my IUI the way and time I know is best. And they finally did it my way. And I got pregnant with twins. We used donor sperm as I have no fertility issues. We had the best experience at SRM from start to finish. We worked with them through two successful pregnancies and we are eternally grateful for our children. The IVF process seemed daunting in the beginning and they supported us from the beginning through the billing process as well as the medical processes. We are particularly thankful for our coordinator Lindsay C who was with us every step of the way. We'd 100% recommend SRM to anyone struggling to conceive. I sought treatment at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in 2019 and while I did not successfully conceive while a patient at this clinic, I was very happy with the experience that I had working with Dr. Davis. Coming off of a miserable experience with another clinic (PNW Fertility), I was apprehensive about resuming fertility treatments. Dr. Davis was empathetic, I felt that she really listened to me, and she put together a treatment plan that I was happy with. I saw her for several IUIs, fertility tests, and an HSG. Covid changed my situation (thank you WFH) and allowed me to seek treatment anywhere in the country - which lead to my decision to leave this clinic to receive treatment in Boston - but I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Davis to patients looking to establish fertility care in Seattle. Having now been a patient at 4(!!) fertility clinics and interacting with numerous doctors, I can assure you that Dr. Davis is amongst the best. read more

My husband and I received our fertility treatments here and had to go two rounds of IUI. When the first producer failed the entire office was supportive and empathetic to the situation and didn't rush us to try again. Each nurse and Dr were so patient and listened to our concerns. We did have one or two billing issues but the finance team were able to explain how the charges lined up and fixed all mistakes in a timely manner. They didn't even pressure us to pay any balances until we were all on the same page of what we owed! Thankfully our second round was successful and our baby boy is due in a matter of weeks! I would recommend SRM to anyone to at-least stop by and talk with the staff. read more

Pros: My patient care coordinator is great. She is on top of all of my questions, responsive, and thorough. The nurse, doctor, and anesthesiologist who did my first IVF procedure were great as well, competent, organized, and responsive. All around good coordination experience and high quality medical care from the staff. Cons: They consistently maintain multi-month delays in scheduling for IVF and FET procedures. This was not communicated to me at the start of treatment with the clinic. It's of note that you can get still get all the IUIs you like while waiting. As an existing patient, it will take you about a month to get an appointment with your doctor to discuss doing an IVF and/or FET procedure. After you meet with the doctor, then you can request to schedule the procedure. After submitting the request to scheduling, they will respond in a week with a procedure date. However, there is a 1-3 month waitlist for your procedure due to 'unusually high demand.' This will end up costing you 2-4 cycles' time if you hit the date wrong. Twice I've attempted to schedule IVF with all my paperwork, financials, pre-authorizations, labs, and consent forms done, yet still they could not accommodate my next cycle with weeks to spare. I ended up having to wait 1-2 additional cycles each time. I have been told I'm lucky that I got such early dates for the procedures with the current 'high demand.' I can understand an unexpected flux in demand once, but it was still a problem three months later when I tried to schedule a second IVF. Am I lucky or is this just poor clinic management? They are still taking new patients, so I can only conclude they find this lead time totally acceptable for their patient base of women with rapidly declining fertility. Currently patients requesting IVF in February are getting procedure dates in May, and that's after the one month wait to just to meet with your doctor and confirm the procedure. If time is a priority, I'd consider investing in a treatment plan elsewhere because if you end up needing more than one IVF cycle, assume this will take at least 6 months in the best of best case scenarios. read more

They called less than 24 hours before an appointment we booked weeks ago to tell us that we still owed them for a bill we paid last year. Three hours later, they left another message to say that our appointment the next morning had been cancelled since we didn't settle the bill before coming in. Seriously? It's so laughably unprofessional that I'm not even mad. We've since heard from friends that Pacific NW Fertility has better service, is more professional, and is nicer to their patients. Now we're glad that SRM decided not to allow us to come in! read more

This review is not about the care received, but about the Billing Department, and the misinformation we received during the course of treatment.  Throughout the process, we were required to "pre-pay" certain amounts totaling multiple thousands of dollars.  Never during the course of treatment were we told how that money was to be allocated or used.  We were told affirmatively after our second pre-payment of multiple thousand dollars that at the end of treatment, following insurance, we would have to pay "at most, $200 or $300."  Fast-forward 4 months after the end of treatment (which was unsuccessful), we received a bill out of nowhere for over $3,000.  After a month of calls and voicemails that went unreturned, we finally got someone to provide us with an accounting of the treatment.  What the accounting revealed was that certain amounts that had charges adjusted for our insurance company to be made were then unadjusted after our insurance maxed out ($10,000), and we were charged a price more than double the amount our insurance company would have paid.  Given our situation of maxing out insurance, that we paid all our bills, and  the representation that we would only have to pay $200 or $300 max after our insurance maxed out, we requested an accommodation to pay the adjusted rate.  This request again went without response to for weeks.  We finally got our financial counselor on the phone, who said she would speak to her manager and get back to us the same day.  Three weeks later, we finally heard back (after several calls to the financial manager asking for a response) with a simple denial of our request.  No explanation. I'm extremely disappointed with how we were treated by the Finance Department, the misinformation we received, and their unwillingness to fix the situation. I wouldn't wish this kind of experience on anyone else. But hey, the doctors were nice. read more

There are some wonderful nurses and doctors at SRM, but the company that owns SRM is clearly in it just for the money. I found thousands of dollars billed to my account on procedures that were not necessary (an extra ultrasound here, etc.) that I was able to get removed. However, had I not gone back and forth with a fine toothed comb over their incredibly difficult to read bills, I would have just been over charged. Billing is very hard to get ahold of. I also just received a notice that they are increasing the cost of storing eggs by 40%! I really felt nickeled and dimed at every part of the process (and I had a successful IVF so I should be thrilled). The medical team is great, dealing with the company is so stressful and horrible. I recommend reading all the reviews of this company as my experience seems very consistent. There are other great fertility clinics in Seattle that are not preying on families that are vulnerable. Also, be VERY clear with them on what things cost and expect to spend hours trying to get ahold of billing when they double charge you. SRM overbills and then doesn't pick up the phone. read more

I didn't know how unhappy I was with SRM until I went to Pacific NW Fertility for a second opinion. SRM had me freaked out, discouraged and was basically pushing me into an egg donor program. "You can try, but a textbook would tell you it won't work." and "We can go ahead and try these lesser options but it's most likely wasting time." were statements I heard at my one appointment. It was just negative and not a fit for us from the start. After much contemplation and exploration of other options, at a friend's recommendation we went to get a second opinion almost a year later. It was at this second appointment that I realized that SRM made these recommendations for very expensive and invasive procedures without going through a comprehensive diagnosis process. What we've found out since meeting with our new RE is that even had we gone through with donor eggs and invitro, there is a high probability for a miscarriage because of a correctable existing condition. What?! I'll never step foot in an SRM office again and it's disheartening to know that they seem to be sucking up a lot of the independent RE in the area. Dr. Klein and her staff are one of the best teams that I have ever had for fertility treatments. She is knowledgeable, straightforward, and compassionate. She gave me hope after a miscarriage, and she handled my case professionally and without any hassle. I had 2 other clinics deny utilizing adopted embryos, but she worked well with my adoption agency. I traveled out of state to receive services. Best clinic, out of the ten years I have been infertile, and I have been to four others. read more

SRM = Scamming Rapacious Money-grabbers! BEWARE OF SEATTLE REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE! After calling to schedule an appointment under the recommendation of my in-network urologist, having provided the staff with all applicable insurance information and asking if my provider is accepted (Premera BC), I was then assured it was and to come in. After spending more time waiting with paperwork than with the doctor, maybe two minutes in his actual presence, I was told I must leave a "sample." Afterwards I then was told to pay some $950! Shocked, as I pay over $400 each month in premiums alone and my deductible had already been met for the year! I explained my willingness to pay with the help of a plan, to which I was referred to a website. Once home, I thought I successfully initiated the payment plan, having submitted my first payment. To my surprise I was then sent a notice to pay within 10 days of the dated letter, or my debt will be turned over to collections! Not only did the doctor and staff offer ZERO assistance, I was repeadedly told that I was too young to suffer from my suspected ailment, simply psychological, ignoring my every attempt to offer the results of previous tests confirming my exact suspicions. Additionally, offering no optimism, advice, stretches, medicine, NOT A SINGLE THING; merely "oh, yeah... it sounds like you're listing a commercial (Dr. McLure balked incredulously, as I described my symptoms), hmm... schedule another appointment!" Yeah, right. How I regret ever considering this place. Multiple years spent attempting to establish a credit rating dashed by lying crooks masquerading as doctors and health care officials. Doing ANYTHING else would have been more productive than that visit, as I arrived under false pretenses, only to be ignored, belittled, insulted, and ultimately robbed. I'm physically sick when I realize how hard one must struggle, do everything right, work, pay bills & debts, even volunteer, only to be lied to and intentionally and maliciously misinformed by the very people trusted with caring for our health and well-being. Bottom line: Unless you are a millionaire or simply don't care what happens to your money and are content to pay any exorbitant amount for zero assistance, information, or customer/patient service, PLEASE, for the love of God, avoid SRM like the black death it is to any bit of health, satisfaction, self-esteem, personal savings, and credit report. read more

For one of the most important institutions that is in Seattle, or in women's life period, this place has the worst reception staff ever. I get stressed out just to make appointments there and I'm not supposed to be stressed in order to help my pregnancy. With the amount of money charged to clients, can't they hire a more helpful people at the reception or scheduling department??? If I don't really want a baby and have money invested in this place, I wouldn't have gone here. Surely there are other clinics that does this. read more

SRM nearly killed my wife. This was due to, in a large part, their incompetence. They prescribed nuvaring combined with other hormones in spite of her history of blood clots. This lead to multiple pulmonary embolisms, 4 in the lungs and 2 in the legs which landed her in the ER. It's quite a feat she survived, though she gets to deal with DVT due to the after effects. Other docs we've spoken to were shocked after the fact that she was prescribed this medicine in spite of her medical history. read more

As another reviewer mentioned, there is really only one thing that matters with a business like this, either you end up with a baby or you don't. Based on the number of stars, you can guess what our result was. I have experience with both the Westlake Ave location and the Tacoma location. Both are very professionally run and I never had any problems with either, other than I did find it harder to get ahold of the Seattle location on the phone. But this is almost the only medical facility I know of other than a hospital that is open on SUNDAYS. But only by prior appointment. They are highly regarded, and by reputation are the among best in the business in the Pacific Northwest. Ask an unbiased professional if you want to confirm this. Another important factor is cost. Every other doctor's office or hospital I have even been to bills an amount with the expectation that insurance is only going to cover maybe half. So for example a 5-min appt is billed $120 and insurance agrees to pay about half of that ($60). And your copay is $10-20 depending on insurance etc. The rest is a loss. The people without insurance are the ones who get screwed by this system because they have to pay the full $120. Well, most people's medical insurance does not cover fertility treatments. SRM knows this and thus there prices are reasonable for what they provide. In my example above they would have charged say $60 instead of $120. Also, some of their services ARE covered by insurance, and they were very good at working to maximize what was covered and minimize our bill. read more

I agree with Laura M. here and wanted leave a review. I have had nothing but really good experiences here at SRM Seattle and Bellevue. All of the doctors were very nice and informative. I have felt as though I have had a voice, but they are the ones with the MD after their name so I don't push too much. My first appointment I was late and FREAKED out that I was late. I called the front desk in a total panic expecting her to scold me. Getting through Seattle traffic has been hard a few times and I've been a little late a few times - they are nothing but accommodating. It seems they know that they are one of many and business could be taken elsewhere. Not all business recognize that. Scheduling - Easy. Always appointments available. Every time. And I've needed MANY. Confidentiality - Awesome. Never a single concern Nursing - Awesome. Calls and emails always returned. Instructions clear and understandable. Surgery Center - Awesome. Always nice, always. Doctors - yes, you rarely see the same one, but you can if requested and they all are good anyway. Your treatment plan is your treatment plan. Having a different doctor doesn't really matter. Results? Mine were as good as they could be given the circumstances. This is a difficult industry to rate others reviews on. We are already so emotional over something so primal - then they gives you LOADS of hormones and a Yelp account? :) Improvement - The billing department I have had to go around and around with a few times. I was introduced to the accounting manager and she has resolved my issues. However, there should be some fine tuning and better explanation for the "newbies" who have never done this before. read more
