Katy, TX 77450 / Filipino / DINNER / 2 Adults, 2 Kids +The pancit palabok, kare kare, and garlic fried rice were delicious. +The restaurant decor is nice. -Mandatory tip selection of 18%, 22%, or 24%. We hadn't plan on going here originally but the ramen place next door had long lines so we decide to try. First impressions matter and this place has very cute and cozy decor. There were a couple table of customers when we got in there but we got seated right away. The menu was not overwhelming and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach so we ordered appetizers, a couple entrees and a side for 2 adults and a kid, which definitely was an overkill. Now on to the food - we ordered lumpiang, Bistek, Lechon, garlic fried rice, and Pancit Bihon. Unfortunately, they were quite underwhelming. I'd say our favorite was the Bistek, while it was a little salty, it had good flavors. The other items seemed to have been under- seasoned or not too balanced in flavor. The lechon was like air- frying a plain pork belly and then chopping it up and the garlic fried rice was rather bland albeit all the garlic we can see. Lumpiang was ok and I think I was expecting a different kind of Bihon and a little more salt on the Pancit. I do realize this is quite a bit of food. The bill was around $85. You do not have option to custom your tip amount, you can only select from set percentages. All in all, I walked out after a little over $100. I don't think this is my jam and will be continuing my search for Filipino food.

I'm pretty critical about Filipino food because I usually don't like going to restaurants since I can make it myself, but I wanted tot ry this place out since it seems like they had a wide variety of items. To start, we were given a complimentary basket of Shrimp Chips, and those were a nice little touch. Items we tried: - - - Crispy Pork Belly Chips: the with rice is a meal on its own. The pork is tender, I would suggest to fry just a little longer to have them get a tad more crispy. Other than that, nothing to complain about. - - - Palabok: good, I find it odd that it wasn't serve with lemon or calamansi... we had to ask for it, but overall good. I think it could have used just a little bit more sauce but I think that's just personal preference. - - - Squid Adobo: I haven't had squid adobo in awhile, so this was a treat to see this on the menu. It was good, just a little sweeter than what I'm used to. But still enjoyed this. - - - Pork Sisig: one of mine and my husband's favorite dishes, and most places can't seem to get this right but this place does! If there's one thing I could recommend it would be the sisig. - - Small Cup of Sinigang Soup: this was more for me since I like to have some kind of soup or broth with my rice, but I was a little annoyed because when it arrived to our table it wasn't even warm... it was lukewarm leaning on the side of cold... Overall, still good place to have dinner, it is on the pricier side when it comes to Filipino food but it's family style so you typically share with everyone at the table.

Super delicious food and nice ambiance. The kare kare and sinigang were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I was scraping up all the sarsa. They also had really yummy and cute cocktails with a Filipino twist. I tried the calamansi drop and enjoyed it a lot.

What I Ordered: *Cornsilog (corned beef, garlic rice, fried bananas, eggs) *Milo Mocha coffee (Iced) *Family ordered pork & chicken bbq Pros: *The entire meal was delicious *Fried bananas were a high point *Pork BBQ was thick & meaty *Waiter was nice *Restaurant interior was aesthetically pleasing *Plating was well-done Cons: *Service was a bit slow *Food is very pricey *Though good overall, the Milo Mocha tasted more like Milo than coffee -- I couldn't really detect any caffeine Overall: An enjoyable (though expensive) meal. Try it if you're in town & craving Filipino food.

Went for lunch and shared the pork bbq skewers, the beef kare kare, shrimp sinigang, and the crispy pata. The pork skewers were delicious with a nice grilled char on the pork and paired well with the vinegar dipping sauce. The pork was tender and I also enjoyed the sweet glaze on the pork. (9/10) The beef kare kare was good, I enjoyed the eggplant and beef in the dish. The sauce is very peanut forward and thick. I felt like it was lacking a bit of flavor but I did appreciate the large portion for the price. (5/10) The shrimp sinigang was bright and tangy. I really enjoyed the soup and they give you a generous amount of shrimp. (7/10) The crispy pata was the star of the meal. The portion is so big and the skin on the pork is SO crispy. Came with a side of fries and a vinegar based dipping sauce that completed the dish. (9/10) The ambiance was super nice, I love the modern decor and the waiters were so attentive and helpful with the menu. My sever Sheena was awesome and did everything she could to make sure we enjoyed her time. Would come back for some authentic Filipino flavors!

Firstly, the decor is soooo cute, as a plant lover I was in heaven. I will say, they had a diffuser with a very strong dent and it was starting to give me a migraine. Inside is much smaller than we thought but with them only having 2 servers when we went it seemed perfect for them to handle. Okay, the fish was delicious just like what my MIL makes, the sizzling pork was okay, and I liked the noddles the most. The desert was like a Che and was very thick. The 3 stars is because honestly, I think it is extremely overpriced for what it is. The food is decent but it shouldn't have been $75+ for 3 dishes and 1 desert with waters. I would say definitely check it out to eat some decent filipino food, see the cuteness of the space, hangout with friends but tread with caution as it'll get pricy.

Honestly this place is over hyped. Walking in the atmosphere was super cute so it had so much potential! Loved the boho lanterns and wall decor and all the greenery too! We were served fresh shrimp chips on sitting down which were delicious, especially with the vinegar dipping sauce. Our waitress got our order wrong. Our water cups were rarely filled and spilled water on our phones when she did. When she brought out the food she put it on the other side of the table, not close to where we were sitting despite there being empty space in front of us. We ordered lumpiang shang hai which was crispy but the meat could have been seasoned better. We also got adobong pusit - which had a weird taste to it. We ordered Pancit canton but were brought pancit bihon. They were ok nothing special about it. We ended with halo halo which was good, but the shaved ice chunks were too big.

Food was very delish! All we can say is that it's a very authentic filipino food! Feels like you're in the Philippines! Presentation of the food was very presentable! Service was excellent! Very friendly and accommodating. Ambiance was very nice, cozy, neat and decoration was very traditional!

Lively Filipino restaurant located in Katy Asia town! Lots of people eating here, and was told the wait would be 1 hour however they were able to get us after 20 min! Fairly enough seating inside ranging from small to larger tables for groups. Family style portions. Entrees: opted for Pork Sisig, Palabok, Sinigang Na Baboy. Pork Sisig - fairly good! wished it had a fair ratio of salty/sour but regardless enjoyed Palabok - came w/ calamansi (able to ask for more!). This could have had a bit more flavor to it, I felt something was lacking but still good Sinigang Na baboy - this I wished was more on the sour side. Not sure if it was made in a way to be suited towards western taste, but definitely could've been more sour for sinigang (IMO!) Not sure if I'd come back again due to the drive, but if I'm in the area, might stop by for the Filipino food cravings

Came here for the first time. Honestly, when a friend of mines referred this restaurant to me, it just looked like a high-end, possibly Americanized Filipino restaurant that was overpriced. The food portion was actually pretty huge. We ordered the lumpia appetizer (very crispy and delicious), Beef Pares (like Pho broth, but thickened into a gravy-like texture- very flavorful, but little meat), Dinuguan (very flavorful, but dry, would've liked to see more sauce), and garlic fried rice (nothing special). We also ordered the Calamansi drink and the HaloHalo. I think I loved the HaloHalo the most. Wish it was in a bigger cup lol. Our waitress was very friendly and fast. Lots of parking in the area. Restaurant seems a little cluttered due to the amount of tables and chairs is out.

We went there for breakfast/lunch. My daughter ordered Tocilog and I must say it doesn't have the authentic Tocino flavor. It tasted more like Chinese barbecue. I'm quite sure it's the Five spice that did it. That's disappointing. I got the Lechoncilog and although the skin is chewable - it's lacking in flavor. The garlic fried rice is bland and doesn't taste garlicky at all. I kept waiting for the server to come by our table so I can ask for salt and pepper - she never came until the bill was ready. It's also surprising that there are no patis (fish sauce) and toyo (soy sauce) condiments on each table considering that's the name of the restaurant. No salt and pepper either. On a positive note, the Ube Creme Brulee is amazing. Their Biko is also good. Coffee is ok. Food presentation is impressive. We came during Mother's day so I don't know if they're understaff or just typically a bit disorganize. The reception staff didn't seem to know what he's doing. It took us a while to visit this place because my husband does not like the business casual attire requirement. They should put on the reservation that attire is suggested but not required. We saw many who were dressed up very casual. The decor is nice, but the place is quite small for an upscale requisite. We're foodies. We've been to upscale and downscale restaurants. Their price is a bit high as well. We ordered fried lechon to go, so with tip our total bill is over a hundred, and that's for only 2 people. We understand inflation so at least make it up by providing exemplary customer service. We're good tippers when we're satisfied with the service. We're still going to give it another try so we can check out their main dishes and other desserts. In conclusion, this restaurant has the making of an enviable Filipino restaurant. It just need to improve the following: food flavor, make patis and toyo available on the table (come on - that's your name!), and provide great customer service. You also might want to get rid of asking for credit card for reservations. I think it's a deterrent for getting more business. Other bigger and upscale restaurants don't ask for credit card when creating a reservation.
