We've had plenty of first time parent concerns and he's tackled them all super timely and with a way of explaining things that calms us and gives us more confidence every time. And we were amazed with Katie, the Lactation Consultant. she has decades of experience, she CHANGED our world!! we brought in our 5 day old baby and she completely turned me around with her knowledge base. I brought him in with me and nursed him with her help so that she could observe. She reframed so much of what the hospital told me generically and tailored it to me and our son based on how and what she saw. and she was spot on! he was happier, less frustrated and trusted me to read his cues correctly and get what he needed. it was an instant fix, I can't get enough of her!! She makes herself available by phone too if tou can't make it to her in person. She and Dr. Stephen are in this with you every step, honestly we couldn't have asked for more caring human beings to help guide us.

My kids LOVE going to the dr. They literally ask to go. Even if there are shots involved they like being there. When the heck does that ever happen? Dr. Nikki is more than a doctor. She is someone my 13 year old daughter looks up to and my 7 year old son wants to marry. I trust her and when it comes to your kids that is something you need to have for peace of mind. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

As someone who works in the medical field, if you're considering this pediatrician, from our…read moreexperience, I would look elsewhere. Our whole issue started when both of my sons developed RSV and we were brushed aside like it was nothing. We were in the office four separate times in one week. I expressed my concern as my littlest's health was declining and I felt incredibly dismissed. After our last appointment the doctor told us "he would just get better." I ended up having to take them to a children's hospital, where I would be taken seriously. My little ones O2 was 70, which was never checked in office and should've been. I was told "it didn't work." Both of my children were confirmed with not only RSV, but also pneumonia and a double ear infection. The pediatrician failed to check either one of their ears, which is PROTOCOL for well and sick visits. I decided to switch to a practice where my children were treated like people and not like inconveniences. I had to call six times for them to transfer their medical records over to the new pediatrician. Where upon learning they never transferred them over and I had to go to the office in person and collect them. Not only did they tell me they would have them ready for me to pick up, which they did not; they couldn't even find either one of my son's medical records. Upon talking with other mom friends, I also learned that they were dismissed with serious medical issues and improper medical instructions from this office, which led to serious adverse reactions for their children. So to sum everything up, they are unorganized, unprofessional, uncompassionate and should likely be investigated.

Okay, fine. I needed a sick appointment for my son and despite him being ill, I waited 3 hours for her to call the insurance agency and get back to me. I know something about insurance and billing being in the healthcare industry. I had a feeling my husband's insurance agency was going to provide misinformation because insurance companies don't want to pay when they hear a secondary insurance is involved. Despite her knowing for a fact that the primary for the child is whichever spouse birthday is first (my husband) she didn't go on her own knowledge and even stated that she knew the information that was provided to her was wrong, she denied giving my son the sick appointment. I've never experienced such backwards thinking at a doctor's office. I never had issues or bills from my son going to the doctor- pediatrician or urgent care. We just moved from NYC so this level of ...weirdness is baffling to me. I know that this woman made me wait 3 hours to tell me she can't give my sick son an appointment because of misinformation she knows is wrong. Ridiculous and highly disappointed.

If you're looking for a pediatrician that will be playful and informative sorry Dr. Hammoud isn't your guy. He gives me the impression of someone that was forced into the profession or he just doesn't like my kids! Not sure, he doesn't have a warm vibe, however he agreed to not give my children all the vaccines on one day. It's more visits, but that works for me as not many places accommodate parents with such requests. From my experience his medical assistant are new each time I have been in the office. As far as the esthetic of the office, the waiting area could use some remodeling or at the very least some new chairs. I'm suggesting plastic or leather like chairs easier to sanitize because the current chairs are screaming bedbugs so I never sit in the waiting area.

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.

We needed a companion for our beloved family member and while we were a little shocked by the cost, $600 a night, we hoped that the companions who we hired would be empathetic and hopefully we'll compensated for their time. Overall we were very satisfied with the companions as well as the customer service. One thing you should know. If you arrange for a companion and your patient ends up getting discharged from the hospital, you still have to pay the full price for night. No refunds. So I'd advise waiting until the afternoon before reserving a companion or nurse, since once you order the service you are committed to pay the full price.
