I've been debating whether to post this review for a while, but I think it's time I do…read more The worst treatment center I've ever been to. I had money on my card the entire time, yet my caseworker never took the time to sign a slip to withdraw it and put it on my account. She also failed to arrange a trip to procurement so I could get clothes, even though all my leggings and personal clothing were taken away upon admission. It got so bad that other patients were gifting me clothes to wear because I had none--entirely due to my caseworker Kylie's neglect. Overall, I felt completely unadvocated for and as though my caseworker had a genuine disdain for me. I've been to several treatment centers throughout my life, and this was by far the worst. They kicked me out for telling my roommate "I'm not the one" after a heated argument ensued. They already knew tensions between us were building, and she had been repeatedly targeting me by running to the program office, even while I was severely sick with a stomach flu that put me in the hospital. I wasn't the one who went to the office to report her either, because I don't believe in dragging others down or tattling to make life in a treatment center easier. That's bad karma, and sure enough, that same patient eventually had everyone turn on her when my friend returned there later to try to get help. When I was told I was being terminated, the caseworker's supervisor claimed that "I'm not the one" meant "I'm going to f*** you up." That is not what it means. In my context, it meant "I'm not someone you want to mess with"--a statement of boundaries, not a direct threat. But by that point, I was so over the place that I didn't even argue. I was done and ready to go. After I was kicked out, Kylie made it a point to call and inform my father, clearly hoping to make my life harder. This was especially telling because every other time my dad had called during my stay, she never returned his calls. It was obvious she was reaching out to try to create turmoil between me and my family--but it completely backfired. Instead, my dad was fully on my side and ended up chewing her out, giving her the opposite of what she was hoping for. They couldn't even relay my insurance information to the hospital, despite billing my insurance for treatment. It wasn't until I received an almost $9,000 bill and had to call to straighten it out myself that I decided to finally post this review due to their incompetence. This place is about business, not truly helping people. If they were, they would have advocated for me and made my stay more manageable. Many of the women there are cliquish, and if you're into tattling to conform to the program, you'll probably survive. But if you're unwilling to compromise your morals and values by becoming a snitch, it will be a very difficult environment. There is also clear favoritism. I will give them credit that some of the staff were genuinely cool, but the ones truly in charge were not.

I ended up staying 6 weeks and I am glad I did because 4 weeks would not have been a long enough time to gain the tools and guidance through one on one therapy, process groups, mediation and I could go on and on. The unique part of ridgeview for me was the introduction to alternative therapies that may help through everyday life stresses. The counselors are so caring and really want you to succeed. Well I have now seen what its like to be in a real life version of "one Flew Over the Cuckoo's…read moreNest" after watching a family member get transferred here for a 5150 hold for severe OCD. Established in 1902, the place retains it's "haunted house vibes" with standard issue aged furniture, plumbing issues and an overall creepy feeling. Family member with severe debilitating OCD, but otherwise sweet, kind and intelligent was transported by uncaring transfer ambulance staff and dropped into a room with a 60 year old dementia patient, who's sole goal was to attempt to escape the facility every 20 minutes, clog the toilet every time he used it with paper towels, and ramble at his roommate. Incredibly SLACK and UNCARING staff who hide in a Nurses locked glass room have to be told to interview by patients. Its always impersonal. The lower tier "watcher" staff are barely functional, burned out and uncaring. Lots of yelling at patients. Very little room to get away from other patients, a crowded TV room plays true crime and murder movies, the 5 minute outside time is more a chance for other patients to come up and provide an immersive presentation of their mental problems...all while there is ZERO consideration from staff to protect OCD patients from non stop contamination fears. This place is literally the epitome of an insane asylum.... 20% actual patient treatment and facilitation and 80% "welcome to the grinder". Might be different for the rehab folks but for the involutories it's a dumping ground... Waiting to see a reply from Trevor Asmus CEO at Las Encinas Hospital or the lacky using his name to reply telling me "Thanks for your feedback....blah blah blah" Dude just polishes the turd this place is.
