Today, I finally decided attempted to make a new appointment (of course with a different doctor). Made three attempts: 1. The doctor I need won't accept new patients. Yet there are no other specialists. 2. Called general Carle #. Got hung up on because staff members don't know how to transfer calls. 3. Called back. New person. Spent 14 minutes on hold waiting to be transferred to make an appointment. Hung up out of frustration. Shouldn't have to waste so much life just to make an appointment, where I will wait even longer, only to be dismissed because central IL doctors don't know how to deal with unique situations.

I can tell she is very knowledgable and in high demand! I had a very complicated pregnancy and she held my hand every step of the way. The practice has 5 doctors and they want you to meet them all so you know them very well but towards the end if you have a specific request when you do your birth plan they try to have that doctor deliver you. These doctors work very hard delivering babies, doing surgeries, some nights they don't sleep so I know it must be hard for them..but THEY ALL were caring and compassionate so in the end I didn't have a preference. Dr Reese delivered my little girl, ensured my family was there and even helped me take really cute pictures, she didn't cut me and I didn't tear!! It was such a beautiful experience!! I'll have these memories for a life time...going through the pregnancy was rough and hormonal and scary and I was afraid to do it again...but now I'm back to see them ;) I would encourage you Lillibeth to give them another try it sounds like a lot of miscommunication ...I have been in Coral Springs for 15yrs, your not going to find another practice like them and get all the attention and care you need unless you probably go to see a doctor that is solo ... And even a doctor that is solo may not deliver you because it's impossible for them to be oncall 365 nights a year...these other practices have other doctors covering for them so when it's time for you to deliver...a complete stranger is delivering your baby...Good luck!!

And I'm shocked to see that I'm the first person to review her! Good gracious, Dr Hsu is like... she's like the kind of doctor you pray you'll find. Warm, compassionate, understanding. She listens like no other. She spends time with her patients, doesn't rush them, takes thorough notes, thorough histories, and sets comprehensive plans! If you're not seeing Dr. Hsu, the only question you need to ask yourself (besides, "Did I fall on my head?") is, "Why not??!" 2) Having moved to Texas, I am deeply pained by how difficult it is to find an excellent GP. These doctors have more mood swings than all the cast for the entirety of the TV show Dallas! And that's saying... A LOT! What I wouldn't give for a doctor like Dr Hsu. What I wouldn't give for half a doctor like Dr. Hsu! Whether it's the bottom or the top, she's still running circles around these fools. =P 3) I don't know if I expressed it clearly enough, how much I appreciated her as my primary, before we moved away. For months after we left, she continued to prescribe a certain medication for me, a med that was difficult to find the right doctors for. Even though I'm sure it put her in a bit of a spot, she did it without hesitation or complaint. She did it because she wanted me to be okay. Because, as her patient, I came first. It's more than just an oath with Dr Hsu... which isn't to say that that's not enough or important to her, but it's just...she's more giving than she probably should be. That's no weakness, trust me. It's just that she's such an amazing person, it's really hard to put it all into words. If I had two hands full of sparklers, a line of fan dancers, an acoustic amphitheatre filled with rockin' classical, and a blimp overhead with a sign that read, "Dr. Jennie Hsu-Lumetta is the bestest doctor EVER," I still don't think I could do her justice. And I say that to say this, this type of compassion and commitment is not everywhere especially for Pediatric patients. My child and I were recently transported from Riverside Hospital to Carle Pediatric Intensive Care Unit due to no pediatric intensive care department within the facility of Riverside hospital. Transferred was an hour and a half way and it was a MUST and urgent care! . Due to weather changes and the winter's season, inevitable the viruses and FLU has knocked at our door once more. In the best care of Doctor Rosado and Doctor Tseng and their Amazing Staff. While my child had the best combinations of Pediatric care and Respiratory Therapy Medicine they both tackled the issue rather quickly and practically. Everyone single one of the staffing had compassion, kindness, supportiveness, tenderness and very thorough and knowledgeable of Asthmatic patients. They were understanding and treated my little one like their own. So much love was given to my little one. Carle Foundation even have a department called Child Life, which helped my child out emotionally by still being able to be in control of her situation and still being able to be a kid. She was able to still color, draw, legos, play room for the kids, puzzles, board games, play doh, books for reading just just to make a few things. Anything to keep her mind off of things and positive reinforcements. The ChildLife department was amazing shout out to Anna and Nikki!. We were definitely in the right place and right care! My family and I could not have done this without the loving family of Carle Foundation Hospital and we will forever be grateful. We stayed a long 5 days. With amazing Angels. I was seen in the ED for abdominal pain on 7/24/2026, after having CC refer me. After getting…read morethrough the triage, I had blood work done per EMT. I then was given a bed against the wall in front of a busy Central Staffing area. Not only was this terrifying, but what about HIPPA laws? A FNP came and said "We are waiting for CT to come get you". I was not informed that this test had been ordered. I have PTSD, and the noise was "triggering me". I stopped a RN and told him that and he said, "I wish I could do something", but did nothing, and I continued to lay there without any help. (I was in the ED alone). Then when I was put into a room with two other patients, I was left with NO CALL BUTTON, No way to get assistance! The ONLY reason I came to the ED, was that I needed something for my severe nausea, and CC would not prescribe anything. I was finally given Zofran for my nausea after a while in the ED. I have been a long standing patient of Carle's and was extremely disheartened by the poor level of care all around me! This was not an isolated experience! Return to CARLE ED, only if absolutely left with no other options! I hope this review helps other to demand for proper care when seen in the ED.
