Yes, some of these physical problems have caused some depression. But when doctors just ride it off as all "psychological," how can you not feel like a hypercondriac? However, he is still a very good doctor for many things, just not Celiac Disease. Unfortunately I can't recommend anyone in this town for Celiac Disease...I suggest going to Dr.Cupher in Chicago instead.

We agree to keep "doctoring" to a minimum. He stood by me as I tried diet and exercise to reduce arterial blockage and avoid arterial surgery: it worked. I am no longer a candidate for surgery: that avoided $20,000 in expense and a 3% risk of stroke from the surgical procedure itself. Bartlett keeps up on the literature; he knows results from the latest research. He is a true partner who listens, thinks, and then makes candid, useful suggestions. I said yes, I was sure. Then he asked me the same question AGAIN. Hello, I am an honest person and I knew there wasn't a chance I was pregnant. I felt like he really treated me in a very degrading way. I don't know if it is because I'm a woman and he has a problem with women or what. But I do NOT recommend him.

When he asked if I lived alone, I responded that I lived with my partner, and he asked, "Is your partner a man or a woman?" I responded, but there was no action or follow-up (or explanation) after my response. More troubling, he stated that he felt the hospital had misdiagnosed my condition and he refused to order the lab work they told me I needed after discharge. He also told me to discontinue the medication that multiple doctors at the hospital had told me to take. If you have any choice in the matter, just say No to Ho.

You can hardly argue with the second sense that comes with experience, he prescribes agressive care when needed but watchful waiting otherwise. Pushy and impatient to say the least, and a malpractice waiting to happen. I had an IUD placed and Dr. Trupin was in a hurry to get to a birth so rushed the entire thing. Terrible bedside manner. There was no prior discussion on pain management (my first IUD& I have no kids) and had no idea what to expect. I called ahead and asked if I should take anything to help and was told no and that it would just be a pinch. It was the worst pain in my life. The Dr rushed off to her birth without a word and I literally passed out from the blinding pain. They literally did nothing for me and left me in the room. I was left by myself after passing out from the pain. I eventually came to, still in the worst pain, put my clothes on, and as I was walking out the nurse just said "Glad you're feeling better" Additionally, I also had a colposcopy done and the notes were full of errors that they didn't bother to correct saying "Oh sorry for the typo, this ____ actually means this ____" They are a malpractice suit waiting to happen if they haven't been sued already. Had I had this experience being older and wiser now I would have lawyered up after my experience with them. Run, don't walk away from this place.
