Everyone there seems quite nice, and after an initial visit for evaluation, they performed an EMG. The test showed very limited compromise of nerves in my neck. I continued with therapy and on my third visit, saw a different therapist. On the fourth visit, it was back to the original therapist. After that for two visits, another different therapist, and then I saw a CMA. I have been to physical therapy many times and in many places. I've always had an actual DPT, never a CMA. During my last visit I had yet another CMA. And after all of the treatments, there was absolutely no difference in my pain. So here's the thing. Two points. First, I told them when I first started going there that I'm much more comfortable seeing the same person every visit. Either they forgot, or it was ignored. Second. Why is this my preference? Because each new person I saw spent half their time trying to figure out what the last person did, even though they had computer records. And there was no continuing investigation into what was causing my problem. I would be asked how I was feeling, and then they would try to duplicate the treatments and exercise exercises that were done the last time. I have a physical therapy facility two blocks from my house. They've successfully treated me for spinal issues, shoulder issues, knee issues and even for vertigo. Rather than driving 30 minutes to Arlington Physical Therapy, I'm gonna have my rheumatologist send a referral elsewhere. By the way, as I said, they're nice people. If you're comfortable not knowing who you're going to see every time you have an appointment, you may be more comfortable there than I was.

Much less pain and I still have another month to go. I really think that it will help fix a lot of the problems that I have. They focus on strength training andrelief. And it is been amazing. I especially love the very friendly people. It's the staff is amazing. I highly recommend.

When I started PT in January for my a broken left distal fibula (post-surgery) and torn ligaments in my right foot, I couldn't walk. I was mostly in a wheelchair and just barely starting with a knee scooter. Within three weeks I was able to walk in with a walker. We eventually had to add my left shoulder back into the mix because I reinjured it getting out of the wheelchair. Cut to now, not only can I walk, but I can jog and move my shoulder mostly without pain (which means I can sleep again!). I cried the other day after a workout because I was just so thrilled to be able to get back to exercising. This place doesn't treat you like a patient file, you're a person to them, they listen and accommodate and push you and they are the best kind of people. A big thank you to the entire staff that worked with me and helped me walk again, Emmitt, Paige, Myke, Fawn, Mena, Ava, Gabi, Amy, Rohit, JJesus, Diana, Sam, Rico, Gigi, and to the lovely ladies at the front, Anne Marie, Susan, and Norma. I owe you so much. =)

During each visit, Dr. Mora assesses my injuries and explains what treatment he will be doing. I like understanding the 'why', so I appreciate Dr. Mora's patience and taking the time to answer my questions. Depending on my symptoms, Dr. Mora adjusts his treatment to fit me. With the combination of physical therapy and Dr. Mora's recommendations for changes at home, I am well on my way to recovery. Scheduling and billing are a breeze thanks to Victoria. She is quick to respond and always has a great attitude. Dr. Mora and Victoria always go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. This is one of the few places where the 5 star reviews are legit. I strongly recommend Dr. Mora if you are looking for a great physical therapist. Bonus: Dr. Mora and Victoria have done a great job adjusting to COVID-19 and keeping patients safe!

From the interaction you have with Ascend Sports & Orthopedic, you know you've reached another level of service and excellence. Victoria took the time to patiently answer each of my questions engaging Dr. Mora who took his time to clarify all my questions, because I've been looking for a PT that works with the MTD Method and for a very long time. I've been going twice a week for about 3 weeks now and I can clearly see the progress, because the first time I went there, I couldn't even get out of my car because of the tremendous pain I was feeling. I'm a candidate for back surgery according to 3 different surgeons and I'm hoping Dr. Mora will prove them wrong! He introduced me to the ASTYM treatment and I'm pleasured surprised. He did a great job assessing my problem and re-assessing each day to find different ways to alleviate my pain and straighten my body. What I like the most more about Dr. Mora is his depth of skill in multiple techniques, utilizing whatever I'm in need on that particular day. I'm on my way there right now, where we might be able to try the needling today, which I'm a little nervous because I never done that before, but I completely trust him now. I researched physical therapist EXHAUSTIVELY before selecting Dr. Mora and I am so GLAD that I did. His proven history with muscular skeleton injury and seeing how far I've come in just a few sessions made him the only option for me.
