GO ELSEWHERE!! Unreliable, and refuses to stand behind defective products they sell. I am Disabled and Low Income. I applied for the Community Action Agency of South Alabama's Federal Government Weatherization program. Once approved, this Company "PATCO" on Halls Mill Road in Mobile, Alabama drove up and installed (2) GREE Mini Spilt Units in my home. These two units have been nothing but problematic ever since they were installed. These (2) units are very cheap. I have went up to (2) weeks without heat, during the coldest weeks of winter, because PATCO keeps no GREE Parts in their shop. They replaced (2) faulty boards among other things and had to install (2) surge protectors that they failed to install upon the initial installation! Now it's Summer, and both Units are not working... and PATCO refuses to drive up to Brewton, Alabama where I'm located and fix the issues. I spoke to a very, very rude lady in the office, and she said, "You need to have a local contractor up there fix the issues... we aren't going to drive up to Brewton anymore". PATCO had no issue driving up here to Brewton, when they were being paid FEDERAL GOVERNMENT money to install theses two faulty pieces of cheap junk. I have to say that the Technicians that drove up here in the past were very friendly and very professional. They just can't fix equipment that is defective and cheap These (2) Units should have never been installed in my home. PATCO refuses to fix these units, so I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney General Steve Marshall's Office in Montgomery and also a complaint with State ADECA Director Kenneth Boswell in Montgomery about this company "PATCO". Also the State Better Business Bureau. PATCO does not like to drive outside of Mobile County, even though they gladly install units outside of Mobile County, and do not stand behind their work. If you live outside of Mobile County Alabama... GO ELSEWHERE! Very poor Management... Very Rude Office employees, and they don't keep parts on hand to fix units they install. I took a chance on these guys because of the Google guarantee and I'm very pleased I did. Hank was here within an hour of my call. He said they try to see everyone who calls during business hours before they go home. Not only did he identify and fix the problem, but he also identified and fixed a carbon monoxide leak caused by the roofers we hired months ago! That's right, Hank saved our lives and we were blessed to have him! They had the motor we needed in stock and along with the work estimate, Hank told us how long it would take him to run back and get the part and how long it would take him to fix it. Awesome service and price! My AC unit was not cooling. I Googled ac service companies in the Mobile area and read very good reviews on Patco AC Service. I was happy to see that they provide service on Sundays and holidays. Their response time was unbelievable. Jon Pope, HVAC technician, was servicing the ac unit within 1 hour of my call to Patco. He troubleshooter the unit and found the thermostat not energizing one of the circuits. He reset the thermostat and the system was operational again. He recommended the thermostat be replaced as it would eventually go out. Jon Pope was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend their service plan to provide preventive maintenance on your HVAC system. They will service your unit twice a year for a low cost.
