In 2021, I purchased new inside and outside A/C units and a UV allergen unit that was installed by Service Air. In 2023, the bulb went out for the allergen unit. Because I had purchased the extended warranty, they replaced it. But then this bulb went out before the two year warranty expired, but this time Service Air decided to charge $359.00 to replace the bulb. I will not be recommending this business to anyone. Do not expect honest and fair service from Service Air. read more

We recently had our AC ducts cleaned and a UV Germicidal Air Purifier installed. We can not recommend Service Air for these services. Since our duct cleaning, we have been seeing small white and black pieces on our floors that we did not see before the cleaning. We vacuum and more pieces show up in a few days. They must be coming from the AC ducts. Hopefully they are not due to duct damage. The UV air purifier system does not treat all the air flow or all the A-Coil. The UV light is located on the lower, right side outlet of the A-Coil. 1/2 the A-Coil (left side) is not exposed to the UV light and bacteria/mold is not treated. 1/2 of the air leaving the A-Coil (left side) does not see any UV light. The discharge of the A-Coil is directly to the fan. The air from A-Coil stays split and the UV light only sees the air from the right side of the A-Coil. The A-Coil and the fan directly above it block any light getting to the left side. * During the installation I asked the technician how the UV light could treat all the air flow. He said it would. At the time I did not realize how close the fan was to the A-Coil and that this blocked the UV light. * I contacted the UV supplier and sent them a sketch of the installation. All they could say was it was "not ideal". * I emailed my concerns to Service Air and pointed out that the left side of the A-Coil and left side air flow did not see any UV light. The only response was "the service manager says it is installed correctly". read more

Our cottage (we named Casa Sea Zen) had an old heat and air conditioning system when we bought it years ago. We were only using it for long weekends before retiring here and now we have it for family and friends when they come for a visit to paradise. So last year we updated Casa with a nice new energy-efficient unit and it makes a big difference, much cooler and quieter. When it was time to shop around I checked Yelp, of course, and asked around for a good AC shop. I landed on Service Air Eastern Shore because there were good reports all around, and I'm glad I did, they have been great! They're a family-owned and operated operation out of Fairhope that was founded by Glenn Geddes in 1999. When I called them up it was Glenn that came out to give us an estimate. He was very friendly and professional explaining all the options and then walking us through the whole process. We signed the deal and the timeline went smoothly. The only hiccup was the wrong concrete slab was installed but when we pointed out they promptly came out to correct the issue to our satisfaction. The service tech came out afterward to inspect everything and everything went smoothly. This week one of our old ducts had a leak, not their fault, and they came out, the same day, after our call, and the service tech "Jase" did a great job going above and beyond to fix our issue. They're the home of $25 service calls and an automatic 3 year warranty on all their work. Bottom line: Good job, good people, highly recommended! read more

I called Service Air Eastern Shore for an estimate for duct cleaning and some duct sealing. I had an estimate from the company that I have a maintenance contract with and wanted to see how reasonable it was. Glen came out immediately and came in with an estimate over $1,000 less expensive. I signed a contract that day and two working days later a team of three came out to do the work, exactly on time. The lead explained what they were going to do and estimated the time it would take. He also warned me that during the anti-mold treatment I would have to be outside. I opted to leave and checked back four hours later. They were done except for some sweeping up. Shortly I had an invoice and provided a check in payment It was a comfortable experience with minimal inconvenience to me. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. An altogether exceptionally good experience by any measure. I highly recommend Service Air Eastern Shore and plan to ask them to provide maintenance on my two HVAC systems. read more

Lynn and Tyler came today and did amazing work. They checked out our 4 units, inspected them, found that one unit had a "fault" indicator message which turned out to be nothing more than a flipped circuit breaker. They serviced all 4 units and spent more than 3 hours doing so. It only cost me $229.00 for all four. They were polite, professional, hard working and obviously knew exactly what they were doing. I have used Glen Geddes business for many many years and he has replaced thermostats and units for me many times. I have always been pleased with his work and he stands behind it.
