They have competitive pricing on buys and low premiums on sales and don't be afraid to ask questions. Randy and Laura are the consummate professionals. I've done business in there about a half dozen times all good experiences. read more

I've been here a few times for buying and selling and have had awesome experiences. I'm not sure why people are leaving one star. I think Randy and the staff are misunderstood because they've been nothing but helpful and polite, even when i didn't know very much. They made me feel welcome and this place deserved more appreciation. I will most definitely be back! read more

Great coin shop with nice variety of coins selections. The owners were friendly and offered good customer service. They pay fair prices if you are selling your precious metals. read more

Patchin's Coin Gallery - Gold Buyers Near Me - Orange, California

I've been to several coin shops around Orange County, having appraisals done and some selling. This place has the most excellent and honest people and overall, the best offers when you need to sell. They do get busy, especially on the weekends, so be patient. However, they'll spend as much time with you as needed. They also have a good selection of supplies and materials to protect your currency. read more

These people are a bit on the rude side and the prices are through the roof ( gouge ). I wouldn't bother if I were anyone else, I'm not going back ever. read more

Great service by Owner .Would come back time after time Randy very knowledgeable they have some rare dates

Horrible store with horrible customer service I will definitely stay away from this store. I've been to a lot of coin shops and this is the far the worst one out of all personally Randy is extremely rude, arrogant, and just a clown in this Coin business and should be definitely not owning a coin store. read more

Hidden gem, and great small business. Large variety of dates and helpful staff :) Highly recommend.

The ladies and the gentlemen that work here are very good. I've been going there a long time they're fair on their prices and they have a large selection of whatever you need if you're a coin collector or if you want to buy yourself silver or gold. read more

I came over with a good binder of 120 Morgan coins m. I came because I read some good reviews and is a location I know. When I got there I saw the owner my binder he flipped through the pages and then went on to say that he will only pay between 35 and 40 dollars per coin. Two things: first of all I had some good condition Carson city coins there that at worst go for 150 dollars, I would say about 80% of the coins were worth between 50 and 70 dollars due to numismatic value. Secondly, he was paying between below 85% value of just the silver content of the coin. Meaning, if I would take my coins to a gold and silver buying shop they would at least pay me 44 dollar per coin. How is that even fair for this man to make such offer and assumption. I mean the value calculated from the pure ounce of silver is 44 dollars which the weight of the Morgan silver dollar is 26.7 oz at 90% silver comes to 44 dollar paying 85% of the silver content lol. Only a desperate person will sell to this shop. I've been collecting for over 20 years but just because I paid lower it doesn't mean he has to try to rip me off. I hope I explain myself well. But, if 45% profit margin is not good enough then this person had a problem or maybe he just didn't wanted to deal work me. read more

Randy at Patchin's Coin Gallery was so helpful to me when I went in to see if coins that I inherited were collection pieces. He took a ton of time looking at my items and explained everything to me thoroughly. He was clearly knowledgeable and wanted to be helpful, and I appreciate his expertise! The shop was busy and had beautiful coins on display for the serious collector! read more

I've been to Bob's a couple times now and each time the service is great. I always feel welcomed and appreciated. They have a large set of everything. Lots of generic silver at a low premium. I will be going back. Thanks. read more

Patchin's Coin Gallery - Pick up this hand pour 1 oz at Tony's Bob patchins coin gallery! Love it! - Gold Buyers Near Me - Orange, California

Love this spot, highly recommend! I've purchased both modern bullion and 200 year old numismatic pieces here and I've always have a positive experience. Friendly staff, great prices, no pressure, educational, and a super cute cocker spaniel - what more could you want?! Finding the right coin takes time and patience and I felt comfortable here to sit down to look at inventory and check reference price guides to make an informed decision and love my coins. Plenty of stuff to explore and we'll worth a visit if you're into coins. Can't wait to come back! read more

Very honest and up front. I have a unique collection that I was potentially interested in selling. They told me what they could offer me with zero pressure. I ultimately turned down their offer, but Im glad I stopped in and saw how honest they were. They will definitely be my go-to if I decide to sell any silver I have. read more

Two thing's caught my attention my 1st trip here, 1) the variety of coins on display that would draw in both novice collectors and old timers, and 2) they were on a first name basis with the other customers in the shop. Gave me a very square deal on a couple of gold Eagles and a friendly handshake. Easy to see why they get rated as #1 in OC in a lot of surveys. read more

It is always a pleasure doing business with Bob Patchin's Coin Gallery. Fair and knowledgeable!

Good shop. Don't come here being completely ignorant about what you want, or else you will probably not understand if you're overpaying for something, or if you're scoring a deal. Not run like a bullion trader - their prices are on paper and change according to whims / I don't know what. Go in knowing what you want to buy and the price it should be sold at. I'm being vague on purpose. Good deals to be found here. Not sure I'd sell to them, but I know much better options for selling. It's the buying that can be tricky, and these guys are a gold mine for that. One thing I will reveal is that their price for cull silver Morgans are decent. I like to buy their culls and polish them up nice and shiny so I can carry around some lucky coins or else weld them to art projects. read more

Can't guarantee that you will absolutely get the highest dollar amount paid for your coins. But, these folks seem to really know their business! They are certainly competitive! And are professional and pleasant! They will give you a bid on your old coins. If you accept, you are paid cash money on the spot!! Quick and easy transaction!! read more

I have been a customer to Bob Patchin's coin shop for many years and have ALWAYS been impressed with their honesty, great service and helpful knowledge. The entire staff is wonderful. If you want best prices for your coins give them a visit. read more

Straight up hands down the best place to sell your precious metals. Pays as close to spot as you can get and you don't even have to haggle with them like you would at pawn shop or typical gold buyer. I have been coming here for years and would recommend this place to anyone. Though I must warn the more sensitive type of people to understand that good business does not always come with the best of manners, just save your self the breath don't be a bitch about it. This is not always the case, but if it happens on a day you visit just let it be and you won't regret it. read more

I have been to this shop before. i wanted to go again and i still want to go now. If i could promote them or give them a pay raise i would. read more

This shop is not just one of the last few remaining coin shops, but they are the most honest shop I have ever been to. When selling coins or any silver/gold I have never felt that they are trying to pull one over like at a pawn shop. They follow the stock prices and update the rate for metals daily. I can also say that they have opened the door for me into numismatics more than any website could. As time has gone by I now feel more like Norm walking into Cheers when I stop by. They are a wonderful store to chop at in this age of corporate America. read more

I have done business with Bob, Jaycine, Tony, Nancy and Laura since the first day they opened. Through flush times and tough times they have always been more than fair with me in selling my coins or purchasing new coins. I moved to Washington State twenty years ago and still regard Patchin's Coin Gallery as "my " coin shop. I will echo the other sentiments written in the other reviews and say, there is no better place to buy and sell coins or just talk and visit than Patchin's Coin Gallery.
