I've been to several coin shops around Orange County, having appraisals done and some selling. This place has the most excellent and honest people and overall, the best offers when you need to sell. They do get busy, especially on the weekends, so be patient. However, they'll spend as much time with you as needed. I came over with a good binder of 120 Morgan coins m. I came because I read some good reviews and is a location I know. When I got there I saw the owner my binder he flipped through the pages and then went on to say that he will only pay between 35 and 40 dollars per coin. Two things: first of all I had some good condition Carson city coins there that at worst go for 150 dollars, I would say about 80% of the coins were worth between 50 and 70 dollars due to numismatic value. Secondly, he was paying between below 85% value of just the silver content of the coin. Meaning, if I would take my coins to a gold and silver buying shop they would at least pay me 44 dollar per coin. How is that even fair for this man to make such offer and assumption. I mean the value calculated from the pure ounce of silver is 44 dollars which the weight of the Morgan silver dollar is 26.7 oz at 90% silver comes to 44 dollar paying 85% of the silver content lol. Only a desperate person will sell to this shop. I've been collecting for over 20 years but just because I paid lower it doesn't mean he has to try to rip me off. I hope I explain myself well. But, if 45% profit margin is not good enough then this person had a problem or maybe he just didn't wanted to deal work me. read more

Good shop. Don't come here being completely ignorant about what you want, or else you will probably not understand if you're overpaying for something, or if you're scoring a deal. Not run like a bullion trader - their prices are on paper and change according to whims / I don't know what. Go in knowing what you want to buy and the price it should be sold at. I'm being vague on purpose. Good deals to be found here. Not sure I'd sell to them, but I know much better options for selling. It's the buying that can be tricky, and these guys are a gold mine for that. One thing I will reveal is that their price for cull silver Morgans are decent. I like to buy their culls and polish them up nice and shiny so I can carry around some lucky coins or else weld them to art projects. read more

This shop is not just one of the last few remaining coin shops, but they are the most honest shop I have ever been to. When selling coins or any silver/gold I have never felt that they are trying to pull one over like at a pawn shop. They follow the stock prices and update the rate for metals daily. I can also say that they have opened the door for me into numismatics more than any website could. As time has gone by I now feel more like Norm walking into Cheers when I stop by. The selection at this store is great, and their prices are competitive. The reason for a three star review is the abhorrent customer service. Of the many times I've visited, I've seen a variation of three people working there. Two women and a man. The women are the sweetest, most helpful people you can hope to do business with, especially if you have questions or are looking for a specific item. Every time I've gone in there and the two women were working, it has been a pleasurable experience. If the man was there, however, it was a completely different experience. Every time I've dealt with him he's been very brusque and terse and even condescending with me and with other customers in the store. Understanding that people are people and everyone has bad days, I've always been patient, polite, and respectful with him, but after multiple times of receiving the same type of treatment, the only possible conclusion I can come to is that either he has a lot of bad days, or that's just how he conducts business. Either way, it's not a good business model to make your customers feel like they're putting you out by trying to give you money for the things you sell. I continue to go there, but it's not my first choice. If I drive up and see the man behind the counter, I just drive away and come back later. read more
