Jack was absolutely wonderful to do business with! Went in yesterday afternoon looking for a 1oz Buffalo or American Eagle, but he was all out. I called this morning to see whether by chance he had gotten any gold coins in, and he hadn't, but remembered me from my visit yesterday and said he'd call me if anything were to come in. Sure enough, a few hours later, he called to let me know that an American Eagle had come in. I pounced and was in to buy it within the hour. Extremely kind helpful owner. I first stopped by this place a couple of years ago with some old coins and currency I was looking to sell. Unfortunately for me, it turned out what I had (which came as part of a miscellaneous lot of items from a storage unit auction) was not genuine. However, although it was clear there was not going to be any transaction, the owner took the time to share with me all kinds of ways to determine fakes versus genuine items of this type, and did so in a way that was incredibly kind and helpful. It was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend this place, and the owner in particular to anyone. Since then, I have visited this place several times when I have found other coins and currency, which were genuine and each time I have enjoyed an equally positive and informative experience with the owner who had consistently offered extremely fair and better prices than any other business in the area. They also have a very extensive inventory of items available for purchase as well, with a great flow of newly arrived items available each day. I'm writing this because I was new to collecting and thought I could trust this business. Wrong We were going to trade out Morgan silver dollars for American silver eagles. Ounce troy ounce for troy ounce. I gave him 60 Morgan silver dollars at .7734 troy each = 46.40 I received 32 troy ounces. That's about 14 ounces short. He can try and explain all he wants. the deal was ounce for ounce it was suppose to be a transaction not a sale. So here is the scoop on this place. I was in a bind for cash about a week ago and had a gold coin that I wanted to sell. I knew the coin was worth between $400-$600 dollars but it had much more in sentimental value. So, what I really wanted to do is just borrow some money against it. Andy was very helpful and straight. No shadiness at all, which in this business there are some characters from two other places I visited before this place. Yelp saved me after being frustrated at other jewelry stores that treated my request as if it wasn't worth their time. But to have a couple pieces of my favorite late Aunt's updated (and sized) to enjoy everyday, I was looking for a small business that spoke to my heart.
