I spoke with Demitira and she was delightful; she assured me that she we would have the tables and linen we needed. It was absolutely beautiful! What I was not told is the following. The person onsite, I believe her name was Pat approach my caterer and my DJ not me the point of contact and told them to shut everything down at 4:00 pm. I understand that the last hour was the cleanup. I don't understand why we could not listen to music for 30 minutes why we cleaned up. When I approached her, her response was, "Per the contract everyone must leave other than those that are part of the cleanup, and the music must be shut off." I made an announcement to 130 guests about the above-mentioned statement from the person onsite, that they must leave... Please understand that was a 130-guests last experience with Diamondz. We don't have to leave but you have to get out of here!!! 130 people will not return to your event space!

That's important for this venue, as it replaced the old Dulles Expo Center, located in Chantilly, VA, which unfortunately became an IKEA. For this tournament, we stayed at the La Quinta Inn Downtown Baltimore, which is about 15 minutes away, but I wouldn't recommend it at all unless you have a really tight budget. I'll be reviewing that travesty next, but that doesn't affect my review here. The space here was very large, and the Supernova staff made adequate use of it. It was a bit of a pain to go in first thing, but that's expected at cons/conventions, as people usually have bags on the first day. The other days went more smoothly. The staff was cordial and pretty friendly. They didn't allow outside food or drinks, which I can partially understand if they want to sell stuff there, but the options there were extremely overpriced, such as paying $5 for a can of Diet Coke. The staff was still pretty lenient and allowed some drinks, so thanks. In terms of food options, there was a Papa John's, which I did not partake in, a few other places selling salads and sandwiches, and one other place where I got most of my food. While I didn't like the AI imagery, aside from waiting and eating later, I mostly had stuff from Addy's Barbeque, a halal BBQ spot with two other locations in MD and VA. The brisket was alright, the smashburger wasn't the best, and the tenders were decent. The "Special Sauce" wasn't half bad either. Nice giant venue, and I could see why it was picked. The facility itself is good but the surrounding area is waning. There were two hotels hooked to the convention center one of them is closed. the Marriot around the corner is old and falling apart. It just looks rough and I had no hot water during my stay. There are other hotels around the area but the ones that are attached allowed you to not to have to go outside. The Hilton is still open but it fills up really fast. Some of the places to eat around the convention center have closed and in general it is just going down hill all around here. The convention center itself is nice. Well planned out, well put together, and spacious. They have food to eat in the convention, they have lots of place to get drinks or snacks, the bathrooms are kind of small but there are a few of them. And this show is filled with attendees and booths! Through no fault of the convention center it is getting less desirable to attended this show. The area is deteriorating and getting less and less safe. If it keeps heading this way this show could fall apart!

Great staff and very nice, accommodating when I had a last second "GI emergency" and needed to run in and out. This is a complex of spaces that is used for traveling shows, Broadway type productions, and special events, pretty extensive and flexible looking space. The area around the theater seemed sketchy from superficial appearance after dark, I took ride share to/from, but I could be wrong since I'm just visiting.
