I recently was in Vancouver for a few days and saw that there was a Patagonia store. I saw the bad reviews but still wanted to go check it out for myself. I'm pretty glad that I did because I was able to score a few items from here. They had lots of selections. However, whatever sizes that are out is what they currently have in stock. There is an option to order your size and free shipping if you live in Canada. They do repairs in store. Cashiers were friendly but the staff on the floor not so much. I have to say that they are super unorganized! One staff tells you to move the line this way. Then another staff comes and tells you to move the line back to the other way. They don't communicate with each other. Even when I got to the cashier, she was super confused and asked what is going on. There was a long line to pay even though they had like 3-4 cashiers. Not all products are worth it but I would say most items are great. Some items are on sale and some are not. If you wanna save a bit of money, then this location is worth a visit. If you can score your size, its definitely worth a visit. Tips: *Metered street parking. *Credit card accepted. *Charges for a bag. *4 dressing rooms. *They sell limited kids items. *They have a few mirrors available outside that you can utilize to try stuff on. read more

Been trying to buy something here for 7 months. They simply do not carry sizes or items what anyone actually wants.

I visited Patagonia Vancouver today, 2025-06-25. I felt welcomed with opened arms. There was a young man from Nova Scotia at the counter, whose name I regrettably don't remember. He promptly acknowledged me, asked me what had brought me in and provided suggestions and solutions for my visit. Later on the floor I ran into another employee, Kevin. Kevin was also very attentive, and engaging - but above all, he was knowledgeable of the products the store sales. I not only enjoy quality stuffs, that is the reason why I love Patagonia brand but also I appreciate being treated in a warm, welcoming and respectful manner, I found all of these at Patagonia. Thank you Patagonia team - keep it up. read more

The short: - tried once in Dec 2020, had a good experience - Prefer shopping online as the store carries limited sizes and colors, and online orders cannot be placed at the store - Moving/moved to a reservation system to avoid crowding - bathrooms unavailable due to covid The long: - love Patagonia products (so far) and their company values - staff had good knowledge, were friendly and patient - good covid measures: physical distancing, staff wore masks, sanitization station - free shipping codes available at the billing counter - one big downside - cannot place online orders from the store. Unsure if that is because of covid or in general. - usually busy, long line to get in. - no dedicated parking, street parking available but challenging overall in that area - seems to be dog friendly, which is great. I was surprised to read the negative reviews of this store, as our experience here was very positive! My kid wanted to try on a certain fleece top to gauge the sizing (she lives in Oregon, where there's no sales tax on items, so she usually purchases items there). The two guys we spoke to in this store were super nice. Neither was pushy or hovering, and I chatted with one guy about the area (I'm still learning my way around here, having moved from Seattle), and the other was helpful in informing my kid about sizing of clothing there and ordering online. Both were friendly and available to assist us if we needed help. The store itself is lovely, and the merchandise is top-notch. And of course the prices are super high, too. If you have the deep pockets needed, this is the place for light-as-air-but-super-warm winter jackets and blanket-warm fleece pull-overs. read more

Few months ago came in here looking for a vest. So I ask, dude was so condescending when I asked. Im like just point me to the vest area (really wasnt expecting that much). The store looks bigger from outside but once you go in the doors, there are some chairs and decor, then steps up to the main floor. The displays are spaced pretty far from one another and there aren't a lot of technical stock. They seem to have a lot of casual items and in the back, some clearance items. If you are looking for technical stuff, you may want to look online as the front only has some of the newer items, a few of the popular items, etc. There aren't much bags or shoes at this location. When I went, there was only the plastic looking collapsible duffel bag and flip flops. They do have a bunch of hats/caps in the back. read more

First of all, I love Patagonia. This review reflects an experience at this store, not how I feel about the company overall. I brought a jacket back to *ask* if I could return it. I said the words, "I would like to know if I can return this." I had no receipt, and it had been about a year since I bought it. I did not act in any way entitled to a return/exchange. (I wanted to return the jacket because it does not function well for the purpose I bought it). The employee treated me disrespectfully- he acted like I was trying to get away with something. He said, several times, while shaking his head condescendingly at me, "That's not a returnable reason." He processed the exchange, but acted like he was doing me a big personal favor by giving me a gift card for the current sale price of the jacket (which was roughly half what I paid, although I did not mention that). I never argued, and was prepared to take my jacket back and just sell it on Craigslist or whatever. My point is this: While I am happy to have exchanged the jacket, I would prefer to be treated with respect and told no, kindly, that I can't return it, than to be treated like some kind of criminal for asking if I can. I will keep shopping at, and supporting Patagonia, but never in this store. read more

Huge space, massive reno, yet probably only the 3rd or 4th biggest selection of Patagonia products in the city. How about stocking it with stuff we want to buy? I have Patagonia shoes I love, and reasonably figured they might carry them,.. no shoes there (except if you count flip-flops). Regardless of what you think of Patagonia as a brand,.. the store is empty, and the gaps in between filled sparsely with staff that looks knowledgeable enough, but they would have to talk to you to know for sure. Exactly one year after and absolutely nothing has changed. Déjà vu! Called in earlier this week asking if they have a certain bucket hat. Guy said and I quote "sorry we're out, best bet is to check online". Came in here a couple days later and lo and behold, there are like ten of them in three different colors hanging on a 'display pipe'. It's one thing if you don't want to help but lying? Again?? This review is about the store and not the brand. Every employee in this store treated me with such dis-respect and lack of interest in helping. They all lacked customer service skills, were completely condescending when I asked questions and felt irritated to bother them. When completing my purchase at the till, the employee never spoke to me and he felt like he didn't even want to be there. It was such an awful shopping experience. Beautiful store but it doesn't carry as much as you may think or hope. Staff are helpful and don't continuously bother you but it took a while before anyone acknowledged me. The only annoying thing is that they never really know when they'll get more stock of something so if you are looking for a specific item I would cal ahead to check for colours and sizes. read more

This company stands by its products. I was pleased to find out they would repair my 6 year old jacket when I showed them the problem with the fabric, both inside and out. They repaired my sweater and returned it in excellent condition. They honoured their guarantee to a very high standard. The sales staff are knowledgeable about the products, and they helped me find an excellent rain jacket at an exceptional price during their recent sale. My experience is that Patagonia provides a quality product with local employees and excellent service. read more

The staff are not friendly nor helpful. I tried to return something bought online to the store, but the person helping me said I couldn't return to store before I printed a shipping label already. BUT I haven' shipped it yet, so it's not used and shouldn't be charged!!!! Now they say they will ship it back to warehouse and deduct the shipping fee $19!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I didn't think I'd say it - but this location is sorta sucky. I live nearby and have gone in a few times to look at fleece pullovers, and the service was consistently bad. Only 1/3 times I was acknowledged, and this last time I spent 15 minutes on my own obviously looking for sizes without any of the 3-4 staff members offering to help. They were too busy chatting up a guy about the dog with him. I love dogs, but I also love finding my size. The cashier behaved as if ringing up my purchase was the greatest ordeal he'd faced since he climbed that mountain. My husband and I stopped in at the Vancouver store this past weekend to talk to someone about an R4 fleece my husband has had for over a decade. There's some natural wear and tear that he wanted to get fixed. The jacket's windproof capability has also degraded so he wanted to ask about what could be done about that. The staff who helped us was not only unhelpful but also condescending. She had no idea what R4 was but she had the nerve to immediately tell my husband (who's worn this jacket for the past decade and bought it for a specific purpose) that Patagonia fleeces are not windproof because it's fleece and that the only way to ensure that fleeces are windproof is to throw on a shell. This is laughable because there are current fleeces in the Patagonia lineup that are windproof. I can forgive a lack of knowledge on past products but she obviously had no idea about current products either to make such sweeping statements like that. She then grabbed another staff to tell my husband the same thing when my husband disagreed with her. It was only when my husband googled R4 and showed them did they acknowledge that R4 maybe is windproof. But even after that, they didn't bother to note his complaint/concern about the windproof on his repair request form. Really disappointed with this Patagonia experience. The staff at the Vancouver store look the part (they actually look like they used to work at Lululemon crossed with a hipster cafe) but have no actual product knowledge and are just plain rude. Patagonia, your target market does not go into your stores for the trendy clothes or to look hip (that's just a nice side benefit). If staffing your stores like this is your attempt to appeal to the masses, then you are really alienating your base market. read more

Pata Van has always been a great store to shop at. My wife and I have picked up items in store in person and made a few returns here and there with no questions asked. I am a big fan of their in-store mail order policy which lets you order the product you want online with free shipping directly to your home. read more

Just visited the Kitslano shop today for my very first time inside Patagonia. I was considering a more technical snow jacket and researching between all options among the tons of shops in the area (and on-line)!. Their sales team and the manager were absolutely fantastic! (super patient and knowledgeable). The team was committed for me to buy what was more suited to my needs (and not whatever was more expensive). I left with the best jacket ever, a bill I could fit in my pocket, and a feeling that I contributed to a brand that aligns with my views about the environment. The service has gotten better with some staff really being on the ball. My only wish is that they better reflect what is available on the website. I often go in only to have to order online​ later because of the selection​ and online sales. Like the ethics and the quality behind the brand. Like the other reviewer, Gertie, I was really excited to check out the brand new Patagonia store. It looks huge from the outside and I was ready to plunge into an outdoor gear utopia. Except once I got through the doors, there was a ton of empty floor space and not a whole lot of stock. As you would expect, the gear that is available is top notch, with price tags to match... which is why I was really impressed to see that the clearance section has very decent mark downs. There was a rack of 50% off, and a small rack of 75% off! If you can find your size in those sections, there are some great deals to be had. I was very tempted to buy a rain shell, but already have a perfectly good one. There are lots of staff available to help, more than I would have anticipated given how little stock there is. read more

I know Patagonia is pricey, but it's also the best quality you can get. When they had a 50% off sale I was in several times. Each time the staff was sincerely friendly and absolutely knowledgeable. I tend to try on a lot and return things several times, but their patience never waned. read more
