Having moved to Wilton less than a year ago, we needed to find a go-to plumber and with all the recent downpour storms, our sump pump died on us and we needed an urgent repair to prevent flooding in our finished basement. They really are great. We had used Wilton Plumbing and Putnam Plumbing and while they weren't bad, our bills were close to a thousand and we still had the leak. Wilton had a crazy markup and Putnam would do hours of work which turned out to have been unnecessary. Anyhow, these guys showed up asap, got the job done, quickly pointed out a problem that would have turned out to be a major issue once the walls were up and before I knew what was up, they had fixed it. House cleaner snapped a handle off a second story shower faucet, therefore the water main was off in the house. Joe, from Gilberties took out the Moen cartridge. After about 10 minutes Joe announced he couldn't get the new Moen cartridge to fit. Joe refused to wait for me to call customer service from Moen. He just left saying he couldn't fix it. Gilberties told me they couldn't fix it and offered the names of 3 other plumbers! Within 5 minutes Moen's customer service told me the fix for installing the new cartridge. Gilberies never called back or returned. They completely abandoned us. Can you imagine a plumber not knowing how to fix a faucet? Can you imagine a plumber leaving and not returning? read more

Let me first start with scheduling, I left a message with Jerry and he returned my call within minutes and he told me that he'd get me on the schedule asap and he did just that. Five Stars on Scheduling. The day of the appointment Jerry called to give me the heads up that the technician was coming. When Dan arrived on time I threw a number of issues at him, walked him thru the house, he was very receptive and explained to me in detailed what the issues where and possible solutions for each... a number of the issues were things that did not need to be addressed immediately unlike other plumbers that are too quick to jump into fixing issues that could definitely wait/or should be observed before making a decision on what to do and and sending big bills. To me Dan provided me with outstanding customer service. If you are looking for a plumber do not hesitate to call these guys... great pricing and excellence all across the board. I live in Wilton and needed a plumber. For years I used an outfit from the Danbury area. I called them and could not get an appointment for 3 days. While not an emergency wanted to get this fixed. I have seen the Pat Gilbertie trucks around town and I also checked YELP. I saw the positive reviews and decided to call Gilbertie. GLAD THAT I DID! These guys are "A" players. Very professional and terrific to deal with. Great and fair pricing. They called to reconfirm the appointment and gave me a fairly exact time of when they would be there. The plumber looked at the problem and said it was even easier than first thought. He fixed it quickly and pointed out that the flapper inside the toilet tank should be replaced as it was wearing out. After finding a plumbing issue I called one of our local town plumbers who never called back and 2 days went by and I called again and they didn't call back so I took a chance with Gilberti plumbers.
