To be clear, she had just come from Sky Zone Thousand Oaks and was still wearing her gripper socks, with her shoes literally in her hand. So yes, totally fair rule--but the delivery was unnecessary. Instead of just kindly asking her to put her shoes on, he was abrupt and harsh enough that she looked like she was about to cry. That was enough for them--they turned around and left without buying anything. It's a shame, because places like this should be encouraging kids to enjoy the hobby, not making them feel unwelcome over something that could have been handled in two seconds with a little kindness. The boys had a good time bouncing back and forth between the VR and the other PlayStation games. It was perfect place for our celebration and we highly recommend it. Well-organized, vibrant, easy to navigate BIG selection of things from nostalgic toys, games, books, collectibles... you name it....Ghostbusters, Mario, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, My Little Pony, Funko, etc. I'm not well-versed in the super nerdy things but my friend is and he goes nuts in here. The owner is really nice and is very knowledgeable about the products (which are more than reasonably priced). The owner is so knowledgeable in fact, that he takes part in the local Ventura Theater Toy Con twice a year (I believe he's the main guy behind it) which is SO SO much fun and I scored lots of unique things there last year.
