While we paused, the skies opened up and it started to pour rain. The owner and employees were so friendly, inviting us in and helping to bring the baby stroller our group had with us into the store. We sat down, drank some liquor and spent time with them while we waiting out the downpour. We didn't have the pleasure of trying out the actual charcuterie, but we left with some souvenirs, including saffron, and some wonderful memories of our brief time there.

It was so cool sitting at the bar and watching the food prepared in front of us. Servers and chefs were all amazing and explained everything so well. We opted for the Di Martino Tasting menu with wine pairings - essentially 8 courses and 6 wines. In a nutshell, we had: Amuse-bouche del Sea Front (cheese-stuffed pasta with cod), pumpkin orzo with calamari, gemmelli with lentils and clams, penne with tomato sauce and beets, penne with pork shoulder, conchiglione with roast beef, and lastly, La Devozione - their signature spaghetti and best I've had! Ridiculous Service -- Not What You Expect From a Michelin-Level Restaurant…read more We arrived on time for our 7:30 PM reservation and were greeted by the host, who escorted us to the garden rather than to our table. We thought this was a little odd, but assumed perhaps this was part of the restaurant's normal arrival experience. The host asked if we would like to order drinks while we waited, so we did. One hour later, we were still sitting in the garden. No explanation. No update on our table. No one checking on us. Nothing. At that point, we asked a busboy if he could please find out what was happening with our reservation and have someone come speak with us. Another 15 minutes passed, and still no one came. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes past our 7:30 PM reservation, we decided this supposedly "Michelin" restaurant, and its frankly ridiculous level of service, was not worth any more of our time or money. We got up and left. Ironically, the host was standing outside in the same area where he had originally greeted us and seemed completely clueless as to why we were leaving. When my sister explained what had happened, his response was that we were supposed to walk inside the restaurant when we were ready to be seated. Seriously? We had a 7:30 PM reservation. We were ready at 7:30 PM. We were escorted to the garden by their host and left there for more than an hour without anyone telling us that we were somehow expected to seat ourselves--or announce when we were "ready." If that is actually the restaurant's procedure, it should have been clearly communicated when we were escorted outside. Guests should not have to guess how a restaurant manages its own reservations. For a restaurant associated with Michelin recognition, the entire experience was astonishingly disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. We never even made it to the table because the service failed before dinner could begin. Ridiculous service and an incredibly disappointing experience.
