A coworker used to live in Naples for 3 years, and he arranged for us to have a large group dinner here for 13 people. I didn't get the sense any of the staff spoke English (that's not a complaint - it's a hit against me for not speaking Italian), but my friend who organized the dinner spoke Italian and did most of the ordering for us. They did a fixed price menu for us that was extraordinary. For 40 Euros, we had a four-course meal. They brought out one full size plate of appetizers - potato croquettes, cheese balls with sliced almonds and honey on them, arugula, etc. After they took those plates away, they brought another full size plate of appetizers with different stuff on it that was all good. After they took those plates away, they brought our entrees. We each got to choose any entree we wanted off the menu. I ordered the seafood risotto which was very good. I think there was more seafood than risotto, and the mussels and clams were very tender and delicious. Then they let us choose a dessert, and they all looked heavenly. They also served us proseco to start. We had four bottles of excellent wine floating around the table. With dessert we got to choose from the cart of limoncello, grappa, and other after dinner drinks. All in all, we had an excellent dinner here. My only minor complaint was it was there were multiple large parties here. It was very loud and difficult to hear what anyone was saying more than one seat away from me.

Cons: When I go into a restaurant I usually compare the prices of pizza Margharita. I know where I live where there are NO tourist, I can get a pizza Margharita for 2.50 euro; 3 euro at the most. Ciro A Mergellina pizza Margharita was around 7 euro or so. So (obviously) a tourist area because of tourist prices. So if you're visiting and want to pay local Italian prices... Find a restaurant, compare their pizza margharita prices, and if it's over 3 Euros... you're paying too much! Happy dining!

Unlike most other restaurants, Sano Sano actually has a very modern environment with a spacious…read moreinterior and some aesthetic lighting. It's a very clean and pleasant dining area. As for the food, it's still the classic, good quality Neapolitan cuisine. I got the Mareggiata seafood pasta (€20), which had mussels, shrimp, and tomatoes in it. It was 3-4 star quality, as the sauce was a bit watery and the pasta didn't seem particularly fresh. I also got a babà (€6) for dessert, which is a classic Neapolitan dessert consisting of a sweet bread soaked in rum. It was decent and certainly soaked in a whole lot of rum - you could see it all seeping out if you pressed down on it. The staff are average friendliness and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, while the food is just average quality, the nice modern environment really elevates the experience, so I am giving Sano Sano 4 stars.

While in Naples for two days, we were excited to learn the history and, most importantly, eat!…read more This was one of a handful of restaurants recommended to us by our host and we finally stopped by the second day for lunch. Everything in Italy is healthy and clean, but this restaurant specifically focuses on healthy, clean, and varied ingredients. It was one of the only restaurants we ate at that had so many options and so many types of food. For appetizers, we had the caprese and the salmon tacos. Caprese was good, the tacos were okay - they were like wonton fried tortillas. The gnocchi with pistachio crème was sooo delicious, and my fiancée loved his spaghetti al pomodoro, simple and tasty. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner in Naples!

The menu varies from season to season depending on what is in season and what the catch of the day is. Everything is fresh and wonderful and you just kind of have to go with the flow with the recommendation of the waiter or the owner. I called ahead and made sure they had octopus salad which is one of my favorite Neapolitan dishes. For my pasta course I told them just to bring me whatever was fresh and they brought me scampi perfectly presented and cooked over al dente spaghetti. I have been in Naples for this visit for five days (I used to live here) and this was by far the best meal I've had the entire time I have been here. Highly recommend to People more serious about the quality of food than the ambience.
