I have been going to this restaurant for a couple of years, I don't know what has happened or if it was just an off night but the quality of food and lack of servers was a bit disheartening. Not sure we will go back, food was bland and our left overs were not packaged by our waitress, rather by some other individual in the back. I have tried this place twice for lunch since I work nearby. I had the chicken parmigiano panino(fancy way to say chicken parm panini) for 9.25 and came with a small portion of fries. Overall the sandwhich was good, likes included were the marinara sauce and a healthy portion of melted mozzarella. The chicken tasted very generic and was possibly a frozen cutlett. I also had the parmigiana tradizionale(chicken parm) for 10.59. The meal was good not great chicken pasta cheese sauce all had a good taste but the was so little sauce half the pasta was dry. Overall not a bad place I felt for lunch it was a little overpriced and the food was good not great. read more

We were looking to order two pasta dinners for takeout, their website says they are open till 10 but they wouldn't take our order at 9:20. They said their kitchen was closed at 9:15, but when we drove by their store they were dead inside anyways. Ever since my first visit to Pastamore I have frequented it regularly, a minimum of once per month, and very often closer to once per week. I and my spouse have received exemplary service each and every visit. We have ordered off menu and specials, and the food never disappoints. Fried mozzarella, fried zucchini and calamari are some of our favorite appetizers. From the entrees: bianco verde, frutti di mare, chicken marasala and chicken broccoli alfredo are just a few of the great choices. My advice is: when you go check the specials, I have never had a bad pick from them and the regular menu options will always be there next time. Take your time with the meal, leave room for coffee and desert (tirimisu!) at the end, don't be afraid to ask for a box for the remainder of the generously sized entrees - they are almost as a snack later! Finally, if you are considering pastamore, please ignore the drivel of misogynist, homophobic xenophobes whining about fries while they judge the appearances of staff members. We went here for dinner tonight. Since many restaurants are only doing take out, going out for dinner is not something we do often recently. It was an incredibly disappointing experience. They have a small number of tables for their outdoor dining. When we sat down, we were one of two tables that needed to order. It took 20 minutes for us to place our order. Our order was two sodas and two pasta dishes. At the thirty minute mark we had our sodas and bread. By the hour mark we were given more bread. By one hour and 15 minutes we decided to just ask that the order is packed to go. The waitress, who was very nice, offered free dessert. However, by that time I just wanted to be done. I wasn't going to wait for who knows how much longer for the free dessert. While we were waiting for our food a table was sat who was the mother and girlfriend of one of the people who work in the kitchen. They were given their drinks and two appetizers within 20 minutes of sitting down. We won't ever go back to this restaurant and unless you are related to the staff or have 3 hours for dinner, I wouldn't suggest you go either. read more

I love this restaurant! The service is wonderful and the food is exceptional. I travel a lot and am fairly picky about Italian food (much of it doesn't remotely taste Italian). The menu has a great variety, and there are many more appetizer options than I usually see. This is my go-to place whenever I go out socially or for business. It's elegant enough to have a nice, upscale evening, and casual enough to stop in for dinner with friends. I've never had a remotely negative experience here, and I can't endorse it enough. Go!!!! A friend wanted to go here for dinner the other night and I didn't want to offend her by proclaiming my utter hate for this restaurant. It was bad in 2011/2012, continued to be bad in 2014 and is still bad in 2015. They are nothing if not consistent! I kept it simple with spaghetti bolognese. An Italian restaurant should at least be able to put out a good marinara and a good meat sauce if they hope to stay in business! I asked for some extra sauce because I hate a plate full of dry pasta with 2 tablespoons of sauce in the middle. I would be interested to see what they consider a normal amount of sauce because my "extra" sauce was minimal. I made a little comment to the waitress who just shrugged and walked away. I didn't pursue it. The sauce was very bland with a slightly bitter, burnt aftertaste. It did not have the velvety, creamy texture I expect in a bolognese. The pasta was too al dente. I thankfully didn't order anything else on the menu. They had some wines by the glass that were perfectly adequate. My updated review: Still bad and unless someone else is picking this restaurant and adamant about their choice I will not be back. We need to give them time to adjust. We went there for lunch. I had the pesto with fettuccine and it was the best I have eaten. The waitperson was very friendly and came to our table a few times to ask if we needed anything and if everything was okay. My husband had a meatball sandwich with homemade french fries. Yes homemade. Not greasy at all. The meatballs were very good and homemade also. They have a wide selection of pastas to choose from and many lunch and dinner selections. There were six other tables in use and the waitperson was able to take care of them. The atmosphere was great, very intimate yet plenty of room between tables. A Bistro setting, very clean. The people were very friendly. The owners are from Milan but serve dishes from both northern and southern Italy. I will go back again, perhaps for dinner this time. This place is absolutely incredible! It was so good we went two nights in a row. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious! It's a little different because it's like a little pizza almost but highly enjoyable. The alfredo sauce was divine. I highly enjoyed the chicken broccoli alfredo. The next time I went I got the lasagna, which was good but I will definitely get anything covered in alfredo sauce next time. Very reasonable prices for such delicious homemade cooking. The parking is definitely limited but there is plenty of parking right behind the building. It is a smaller place so call and make reservations. Staff is attentive and very pleasant. It was great! I went and got the home made mozzarella sticks very good then I got the chicken Marcella very good but the chicken was way to sticky ( freezer burn ? ) and my only other concerns is I got a Long Island and the drink was warm glass not chilled and not enough ice waiter was very nice but took a minute for them to greet us going in the door but I am very picky on my restaurants overall I would probably give them another chance but not get chicken read more

My husband, two little girls and I went here for the first time this evening and we were not disappointed. Really, I would give it 3.5 stars but that isn't an option so I rounded up a bit ;) The food was good, I wouldn't say it was great though. We ordered a pasta with butter and cheese $4, chicken parmigianna $14, mista salad $4, tiramisu $5, and a canolli $3.50. Serving sizes are reasonable, food seemed to be a decent quality. Nothing we ordered had the wow factor but we will go back and try completely different dishes next time. They offer a mushroom ravioli that sounds delicious. Service was good, prices were reasonable, atmosphere is fine very bistro/ cafe. My only complaint is that our chicken came out burn your lips off hot. Now, I like our food to be hot but it took a while for it to cool to an acceptable temperature. read more

I have to say, I'm quite surprised by the negative reviews on here, PastAmore has quickly become one of our favorite Italian restaurants anywhere! Unfortunately we waited quite some time after their opening to try it, we were just a bit skeptical. However, after trying it we have now become regulars of this excellent Italian restaurant. They have a great menu and we have many favorites. A great litmus test for Italian restaurants is their 'red gravy' / marinara sauce, PastAmore's is fantastic! I can't get enough. Their Parmesans (veal or eggplant) are really good, and they frequently have great specials which are worth a try. A couple of other favorites are their mushroom and truffle ravioli in cream sauce, you can actually taste a nice truffle flavor ! The gnocchi in cheese sauce is really good, just a touch of Gorgonzola to give it an interesting flavor. PastAmore is saving us trips to the north end ! read more

This experience was a total disaster. We read a few of the reviews and it sounded as if this might be a delicious place to visit. The menu certainly offers a fair variety which can suggest issues if the chef is not top notch. We also read the bread and dipping sauce was to die for. The bread was rubbery and appeared to have been microwaved. The dipping sauce was neither bad nor good, but I wouldn't request it again. We ordered eggplant parmigiana which is tough to mess up. As they brought the plates to us and set them down, a pool of water escaped from the pasta. The meal was so hot, you couldn't eat it. My fettuccine were all over the board, some being over cooked but most being clumpy and not properly cooked at all. The tomato sauce was flavorless and needed salt and pepper to make it palatable. The eggplant was saturated in oil which was all you could taste and again appeared to have been microwaved. The meal ended when I asked for my water to be refilled and I was served warm water. I have been here many times now with my wife and several friends for both dinner and lunch. Its easily becoming our favorite Italian restaurant. The service is always been ateentive and very friendly. The food has been anywhere from good to excellent depending on the choice we made. For appetizers we tried the Bruchetta which was good but nothing special, but the Pesto Bruchetta was excellent. If you want to try a unique appetizer I would suggest the Suppli which are small rice balls made with tomato sauce, stuffed with mozzarela cheese, then breaded & fried. Abosolutely delicious. The soups and salads are also excellent. For main dishes we found the Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo and Chicken Cacciatore were very good while the Marsala was not up to par. Pappardelle Verona, Arrabbiata and linguini calamari are all exceptional and recommended. The only dessert we have tried was the Teramisu and it was excellent as was the coffee and espresso. The prices for food and wine here are not high for the quality of food and service earning it my five star rating. read more

I came to pastamore today with my boyfriend for the first time and we'll definitely be back! Even though the restaurant was really busy, the server was really attentive, the food was delicious and the drinks were fairly priced! I got a pumpkin martini and it was delicious! We started with an antipasto, which was really huge and almost more than two people could eat it. For entree I had a lasagna, the server told me that it would take about 20-25 minutes to cook and I can tell you, it was worth the wait! My boyfriend had a veal bianco verde, I tried it and it was outstanding! We barely had room for desert, but we shared a homemade chocolate mousse and it was the perfect way to end our night! read more

(In addition to the 20 mins before arriving there), when j got home the order was completely wrong and not good. We ordered chicken parm w/side or linguini Alfredo, and chicken Saltimboca with linguini. We got orange chicken piccata (non edible) and veal saltimboca with angel hair. I tried to call Pastamore several times and just got a fast busy signal. When I was there picking up my order a man walked in and said "I called for take out, got out in hold and then got hung up on and then the phone was taken off the hook". There is no Facebook message option and no email contact info so Yelp and old fashioned snail mail seems to be main communication when you can't reach them by phone. We went there on a sunday around 2pm for lunch, the place empty only one table and they were about to leave. My wife and I arrived first and a couple on the way and the server got us a table but she never offered a drink, after few minutes i asked her to please"bring me a beer" it wasn't cold as i like, but it was the best thing i had there. I don't remember what every one had but nobody was happy, I had a steak tips with risotto, big mistake. The steak didn't tested fresh and the risotto was really salt. We didn't have a reservation, but were offered a drink while we waited for an anticipated 20 minutes. We decided to go with the Sangria. I would rate the drinks as a 7 out of 10, but that was the worst of our dinner. The complimentary, freshly made bread and dipping oil was outstanding. That was gone immediately. This place has a full bar and the dry gin martinis that were ordered were competently made. For good or bad, ordered the Frutti de Mare or seafood medley a potentially ambitious dish for an Italian restaurant. Though the dish arrived hot, it was not particularly special. I get cranky when I spend the money to have cocktails and dinner, and the meal itself is only average. My wife did not have any complaints about her meal, but she tends to only eat half of it and save the rest for later. So the place was only good. No, not expecting a 5 star quality, but for the price, I'd just as soon go to a chain where I can also get a competently made martini and a satisfying meal. May need to go back and pick a dish that is less ambitious and see how I like it. read more

I had the chicken cacciatore, and the minute I took my first taste, I knew something was wrong. It didn't even taste like pasta sauce and had way too much oil in it. I decided to eat it, which was my mistake because I was sick all night and had indescribable diarrhea the next morning. I honestly have no idea what it was I actually ate, but it was not good, I can tell you that. I will never ever go there again. I've read that other people have said their dishes were excellent, so all I will say is DON'T GET THE CACCIATORE !! The waitress was an absolute doll, the place was clean, and the windows added a nice touch to the atmosphere, but ultimately, it's the food that counts, and so I was gravely disappointed. read more
