Go get a great sandwich and Italian sides right now! So good!…read more First time and I loved it. The place is old school but super delicious! Simple place. We all loved what we ordered. Fresh and fast. I want to try all those deserts. Sandwiches made with great crusty sub bread! I had the best dill potato salad. They had lots of food you could take to go and many customers pre ordered food. Lots of food for you to cook yourself at home. I just wish they had pasta dishes there to eat. Pasta dishes were fresh pasta and fresh marinara but they did not cook it there. Was in a deli case for you to cook at home. Wide variety of desserts and sides. I'll try the canolli next time. Good flavor, good aioli.

They have sandwiches and salads and a case full of italian goodies like cannoli and sausages. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich that came with chips. Sandwich was big on a fresh made roll with a ton of thinly sliced pastrami. Also had fresh veggies and an aioli. I think my only complaint was that basically all the sandwiches had 2 to 3 sauces so its a bit much and messy. I omitted the italian dressing on my sando because im allergic to olive oil but im sure it was good. I also think the wait was a little long for the sandwich, not terrible but for a place that only makes sandwiches it was a little slow. It was busy so I will definitely give them that. I would like to go back and try another sandwich or two. Worth the stop in, just not a lot of places to sit so get it to go!

The aesthetics were so cute, the atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the service was top tier. Armand was so wonderful and served us nothing but smiles throughout our time there and gave us the best service. He truly made it an experience for us!! We had a couple items on their special menu along with one of their more permanent items that Armand recommended to us and they were all delicious. Even the bread you start with is great. I started with a peach bellini which made the whole visit. Thank you to the bartender for that drink! Then I ordered the seasonal risotto with mushrooms, pancetta, mascarpone, goat cheese and parmesan. My dad got the Panna e Pancetta. The noodles are cooked perfectly and the risotto is so creamy. Well priced, evenly spaced and their happy hour is well worth the visit. Indoor table, indoor bar, and gorgeous outdoor patio seating available. Stop in and try it all!

The focaccia was also great and the pizza was very good. This was a seasonal pizza, lemon ricotta, basil, and we added chicken on top. The dough and crust was really good. Unfortunately, we saw the pizza come out, but they told us it wasn't for us as they were looking for a different table number. We waited on the pizza walked around for another 15 minutes until it came back to us because apparently the different table number was incorrectly coded. (It was ours all along) That was frustrating. I will say, however, that they are not as accommodating with their dishes as everything seems to be pre-set.

We received our bread and appetizer, but then we waited...and waited. As the restaurant filled up, we watched table after table receive their meals, eat, and leave while we still had no entrées. The couple next to us arrived about 20 minutes after we did, received their food, sent it back because it wasn't good, got replacement meals, and still finished before we were ever served. Each time we asked about our food, we were simply told, "It's coming," while the staff avoided eye contact. After more than an hour, our food was finally brought out by the owner's son. His explanation was that our steak took a long time to cook. That's simply not believable. A steak doesn't take over an hour to prepare, especially when every other table around us had already been served. I would have respected an honest explanation far more than an obvious excuse. To make matters worse, the steak was thin, overcooked, chewy, and cold by the time it reached the table. The quality was nowhere near what we've come to expect from this restaurant. I told the owner's son that I was more upset about the dishonest explanation than the delayed food. We've been loyal customers and planned to keep coming back, but honesty and accountability matter. Instead of acknowledging what happened, the owner came out, pointed his finger in my face, and became defensive because I called out the excuse his son gave. Rather than apologizing or trying to make the situation right, he escalated it into an unnecessary confrontation. Everyone makes mistakes. Kitchens get backed up. Orders get lost. Customers are generally understanding when businesses are honest and take responsibility. What I can't overlook is being misled and then treated disrespectfully when I questioned it. Unfortunately, this was the worst dining experience we've ever had here, and unless the owners learn how to handle problems with honesty and professionalism, I can't recommend this restaurant.

One of my favorite carb load meals!…read more I always get a large broccoli and Sicilian cheese bread for an app and then mizithra for dinner with another side of the broccoli bc it's that amazing.. The Sicilian cheese bread with pesto sauce is everything. It felt a bit overcooked this time around. Lately I've been getting the garlic mizithra but with the bacon and mushrooms on the side. The mushrooms aren't my favorite as the flavor tends to overpower. The pasta meal comes with an ice cream - fun fact you can get caramel on the vanilla, and it's delicious. Service was great and we were sat in the middle of the restaurant. The noise level in the restaurant is always a bit loud so keep that in mind. There's plenty of parking in the lot and also the lot on the other side of the railroad tracks but I made the poor decision to park on the street and continued to have to feed the meter on the app. Total parking for a few hours ended up being over $15, when it coulda been free! Lesson learned.

Ambiance I drove into the parking lot like I have been doing for years. The alley or street has been blocked off by new owners of building next door. It was difficult to back out, chains blocking parking spots next door. I was basically trapped. This just seems mean spirited. I know it is not Spaghetti Factory's fault but there should be BIG SIGN at entrance of parking lot stating not a thru street. I have always gone in this way, drive towards the back and try to find parking on other side. Maybe Spaghetti Factory should attempt to work with new owners. I was told by server they are going to develop apartments. It will be a serious mess either way. Food Mizithra was a salt bomb sent it back, normally very good. Pasta overcooked. Rich Meat Sauce I have loved the rich meat sauce over the years but not today. Just lacked the flavor and tasted off, was barely edible. Ordered the Hearty portion so we can have leftovers, did not taste good warmed up so threw it out. The recipes are the recipes, whoever is making the meat sauce does not care. Spicy Spaghetti Vesuvius Never had it before but was tasty. Service It was busy but good. They don't cook the food. Will not return to this location anytime soon and go to Elk Grove instead. The food has gone downhill.

Mattone Ristorante is located in East Sacramento, across from Corti Brothers and Chipotle. The inside was modern, clean and upscale looking although I did miss the more homey authentic feel of Espanol. I ordered the Caesar Salad and Lasagna - I ate every last bite of both dishes. The 12 layer lasagna was delicate and light while the Caesar Salad was refreshing and not overly dressed. My coworker got the beet salad and she said it was the best salad she ever had. The bread basket was so good too - seasoned house made breadsticks and foccacia bread slices with whipped butter - chef's kiss! Service was great and our water glasses were never empty! While we passed on dessert, I was very intrigued by the Cappuccino Cheesecake - I will definitely be back for that! I'll be back during dinner time to try more dishes - maybe for a date night with my husband!

All kinds of groceries, meat, produce, lots and lots of imported items. My sister up in Redding loves this Italian flower, and I always get her a bag when she needs one. They have lots of different olive oil, and other Italian imports. Before my mom passed away, I would buy her cans of imported anchovies here. Their deli is top notch. Loads and loads of cheeses, cold cuts, domestic and imported. You need it, you can probably find it here. Their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite sandwich is the Corti special. It's huge, and it's fun. You pick the bread, you pick the veggies, you pick the condiments, they pick the meat. I can never finish a whole sandwich, I can only get through half at a time .. My favorite deli in San Francisco before they closed, was "Panelli Brothers, and they sold what was called, a "Panelli whatever.". Same concept. The special takes me right back to that. I will continue to shop here. Thank you.

I chose that i wanted liverwurst bc i assumed most people dont want that, so i got a liverwurst only sandwich. I thought they would do liverwurst and add other meats. Wouldn't be bad if the liverwurst wasnt so bland and had some flavor. My wife ordered the French bistro and circled ham....she got two sandwiches. One French bistro and one ham sandwich so we ended up with three sandwiches. The value is at least there....you can get filled up with half a sandwich. The liverwurst was saved by me mixing it with the ham sandwich. Worker was a little lazy and didn't cut the sandwich all the way through on 2 out of the 3 sandwiches and bc the crust is so thick, we ended up ripping one bread awkwardly. All in all it was worth getting 2 sandwiches. I would suggest the soft sourdough cause the regular and Dutch is a mouth and jaw destroyer.
