I don't normally write reviews because I always hate how I end up coming off haha but lately it has been hard to find a restaurant that truly satisfies my desire for high quality customer service and culinary excellence. But every time I visit Paesanos I get both of those things. On my most recent visit to the restaurant, I had the pleasure of being served by Clemens. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find the perfect meal(Fettucine Arrositi) to fit my current dietary restrictions. He also helped my grandma find something on the menu that wouldn't be too carb heavy since she is diabetic. He was pleasant all around, he was patient with my grandma all night and made me feel like he truly valued our time and didn't rush us. He is everything you want in a server-kind,direct,knowledgeable, and dependable. I would come back any time just to get customer service like that. Now on to the food, I had the Fettucine Arrositi which I believe is their signature dish. I have had it before but this time it was especially delicious. The sauce has a flavor like no other pasta I've ever had it's rich but not too rich creamy but not too creamy and the thing that sets it apart from other creamy pastas is the subtle Cajun flavor. It tastes a bit like old bay and Tabasco to me with some other amazing things in it I'm sure but it was delicious 9/10 My grandma likes to order a lot of things for the table because she never got to have that so she ordered a bunch of things for herself to try and for me to finish. We had the meatballs and they were fantastic but she felt they were too big haha 9/10. Then we had the calamari which was my favorite of the appetizers we ordered. I'm hoping next time to try the polenta fries. Then for her main course my grandma had the wedge salad which she loved but she did mention she wished it had lots more bacon and I can't blame because I too always want more bacon on things. I have been here numerous times with friends and family for dinner and I never get tired of their delicious food. My friend initially brought me here and introduced me to the amazing bocce balls. We get these every time we come here together, but the other appetizers are also worth trying! The fried ravioli was a hit with my family. Usually when I come I get the fettuccine arrostiti which is so delicious and filling, and recently I tried the rigatoni alla vodka which was amazing. They have staple items on their menu and specials too, the menu I believe may differ depending on the location you go to but won't only slightly. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon and it had a lively vibe, but it wasn't very busy. My friend and I chose to sit outside where there were two tables available -- one smaller for two people and one slightly bigger. After being seated at the smaller table, I asked the host if we could sit at the larger one instead. The larger table only seated four, so it wasn't like we were asking for their biggest table. There were no other parties waiting and plenty of open seating inside, but the host still denied the request and said it was only for larger parties. That didn't sit right with me, especially since it wasn't busy, I'd definitely understand on the weekend but that wasn't the case. It felt unnecessary to prioritize a party that wasn't even there yet over guests who were already present. After that, we were seated and it did take a little while for someone to come over, but once our waiter arrived, they were very kind and service picked up quickly. Drinks and our appetizer came out fast. The appetizer was actually the highlight of the meal -- we enjoyed it more than our sandwiches. For our main meals, my friend and I both got sandwiches and they were just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. My friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak and mentioned it was lacking in meat and felt like mostly bread in some bites. They did have a cool pizza special going on that sounded really good, and honestly we probably should've gone with that instead. Overall, the experience was just average. They were open on Easter Sunday and we were able to be seated right away for an early dinner (party of 5) Elevated pizza and pasta spot. I ordered the penne vodka pasta and at first the sauce was too acidic but as leftovers later that night it was perfect! If i had more of an appetite I would have added crispy chicken. The side garlic bread that comes with it is a big slice and perfectly buttered and seasoned. I would definitely come back to try the other options! They have a kids' menu, which is a plus, and the price is affordable; it comes with an ice cream bar. Went to Paesanos for dinner for the first time and was torn between the baked pasta and carbonara. Between the two, our waiter recommended the baked pasta, and it was a great selection. Packed with flavor plus nice and cheesy... exactly what I was looking for. We also had the bruschetta, of which the tomatoes had a nice roasted/smoked flavor to it, making this a dish I'd definitely order again when I return. The Baked pasta was creamy, full of flavorful meat nicely baked for cheesy action all over. IMO, one of the benefits of baked pasta is the crispy pasta shells on the top layer, plus the baked cheese crust on the top. This had it all. The carbonara was pretty good, but they use bacon instead of the traditional guanciale (cured pork cheeks). That said, it was a solid bacon carbonara. I wish they had provided more of the decadent sauce, but still very good. The Tiramisu is a house-made special item and it's noticeable. It's really what Tiramisu should taste like. Paesanos is a midtown Italian spot, best know for the pizza they serve. They offer gluten free crust and pizza accommodation, although their fresh mozzarella unfortunately is not available gluten free. The inside has nice high ceilings and a range of seating options, great for parties of different sizes. The outdoor seating has plastic curtains and heat lamps to keep guests comfortable after the sun goes down. I ordered the Soppressata & Hot Honey pizza, the friend I was with had the Vegano. This was my first time at paesanos despite being a Sacramento native, and I see why it's a midtown favorite. My pizza was awesome. The hot honey was delicious and yes, spicy, although I do have a low spice tolerance. I felt like the ratios on the pizza were great, with the lemon ricotta and soppressata slices balancing each other out. There wasn't too much sauce, a rarity and blessing, so all elements could be tasted. The fresh basil is a good touch, and though was liberal on the pizza packed a lot of flavor. The crust was airy, crunchy, but still had flavor. The crust is thin, and my slices were floppy (but not soggy!), which is certainly not a problem for me but isn't for everyone. I ordered ceasar dressing on the side (I use it instead of ranch, highly recommend) and although I didn't have the actual salad, I would comeback to try it just because of the dressing. It was very creamy, and rich with garlic, definitely one of the better restaurant ceasar dressings I've tried. The pizza is served with a steak knife and fork, which is really all you need. Our server was excellent, our waters were never empty and he was very knowledgeable about the gluten free items and limits of the restaurant. I'm looking forward to my next visit already. read more

The staff here are very friendly and attentive and the dining area was decorated so cute for Christmas, it was all very warm and cozy. Came to Paesanos for the first time this last night, Saturday, around 8pm. There was an hour wait for a table for five, but they allowed us to wait at the bar. We each ordered a drink and I don't think anyone was more than half way through them before we were notified our table was ready. I didn't clock how much time had passed, but it certainly didn't feel like an hour! Upon being seated, our sever promptly came around for additional drink and appetizer orders. I was so stoked to see all of the gluten free options available! The fact that they had a dedicated two page gluten free menu floored me. I ordered the gluten free bruschetta, my friends ordered regular bruschetta and some fried ravioli. The GF bruschetta was delicious! If I didn't know it was GF, I'd think it was regular bread. It wasn't dry or crumbly, I took some home with me and it held up overnight. It was hard to choose an entree, but I decided to get the GF Lemon Pistachio pasta. Wow! It was amazing! Even better than I anticipated. It was rich, but not overly heavy. The acidity was perfectly balanced. This would be a great dish to split with someone if you wanted to share a pasta + another entree with someone. Due to the richness, and probably having an order of bruschetta to myself, I was satisfied after eating about half of it. My friends ordered the regular Lemon and Pistachio pasta, Pasta Carbonara, Tortellini Formaggio, and Soppressata & Hot Honey pizza. Each of us only had good things to say about our dishes. I wish I had gotten our servers name because he was so attentive. He checked on us frequently, and was friendly and funny. Short hair and glasses? He was great! Paesanos has been added to my list! Paesanos is one of our go-to places- def my fave Italian in the Sacramento Area. They have several locations and their menu has lots of options. My tip is to go during happy hour because they have great happy hour deals on apps and drinks! The servers are always nice too. read more

Really appreciated that Paesanos is a family friendly and gluten-free friendly restaurant! We came in with our 5 kids on a cold Saturday for lunch. They quickly brought out crazy straws which the kids were very entertained by. They also brought them green pizza dough to play with. It was great to order gluten-free for some of the kids. They loved the pizza! We had the tomato soup and it was so good on a cold day. Dining out is a challenge with our big family so we appreciated the great options and kind service. read more
