Margherita pizza, root beer, Adrienne Belgian beer and Giant Lands Double IPA
Alexis H.

Great place for drinks and pizza after work! They have a special on Tuesdays where you get a pizza and two beers for $30. Parking can be hard to find depending on the time of day, so expect to find a meter along the side streets. The vibe is very chill as you scan the QR code on whatever table you want and the staff bring your order to you. Plenty of seats inside and outside. The staff was great about checking on us throughout our time there. Highly recommend the Fieldwork root beer, the Adrianne (Belgian beer) and the Giant Lands Double IPA. Get the pizza extra crispy!

Fieldwork offers a wide variety of beers, good appetizers, and a tasty salad. The outdoor seating was a bit hard to navigate in that people were claiming tables that nobody had been sitting at, so we had to move despite nobody sitting their when we had arrived, I liked the speed of the service. The food was good and fresh.

the pizza was pretty good, i got a custom pizza with jalapeños & calabrian chili paste, husband got the hail mary, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, i'd recommend checking it out esp with friends!

Great beer, friendly staff, and an awesome vibe. Love that they have tons of seating both inside and out.

Fieldwork's taproom

I heard Fieldwork Brewing Company had the best hazy IPA so I had to come try it. We came on a rainy afternoon and the taproom was not too busy. There is a QR code to scan for the menu and you also order from your phone. We got the sampler to try different flavors. There were three sours on tap so we tried all three. The Rainbow Parfait was sweet and tasted like rainbow sherbet. The Jelly Packet had strawberry, grape, and orange flavors. It was probably the best of the three. Aloha Vibes had a tropical flavor and you can taste the coconut flavor in the drink. The three sours were all good, but I not the best sours I've tried. They weren't too strong either. Fieldwork's Hazy IPA, the Pulp, was really good! Probably the best hazy I've tried. It had a taste of orange, which was really good. I'm not even a IPA drinker, but liked this drink. The Mo Pulp is the DDH IPA (double dry hop) and tasted similar to Pulp, but had a slightly different aftertaste. I personally liked the Pulp better. The Don Picante (a chipotle smoked porter) was a bit dark and spicy. Fieldwork served fried pickle spears, which was interesting to try. On the piece I had, the batter wasn't too crispy. We also ordered the hot pretzel, which I didn't get to try, but must have been good because it was eaten up. Fieldwork has expanded their taproom since they first opened and now offers food from their own kitchen. The taproom is casual and comfortable for a hang out. The flight of 6 was $18 the flight of three was $9. Good brewing company in Midtown Sacramento.

I've been to Fieldwork so many times at their Berkeley, San Leandro, San Mateo, and Napa locations. But this was my first time visiting the Sacramento location. I hada flight, and they all tasted really good. This location has a really large space, and they have a kitchen. The only downside was the wait time. It was quite long, even though there were not many customers at the time. There were only two staff members pouring the drinks.

An IPA flight.

This was a fun brewery to check out in downtown Sacramento. So many beer options and pizza. You order at the counter or you could also order at your table. Their IPAs weren't as bitter as I prefer but they did have a good selection. And you can sample several with their flights. We also got a pretzel with beer cheese. Which you can never go wrong with. The pretzel was a decent size and was very warm and soft.

This little spot was the perfect spot for a quick lunch (and a pint) on my recent visit to Sacramento. It's located in a nice part of downtown, with plenty of paid street parking nearby. I snagged a spot on their outdoor patio and ordered a cold pint of blonde ale while I waited for my delish mushroom pizza to arrive. It was so delicious! My biggest regret was I couldn't take the leftovers with me as I had meetings to attend and knew it wouldn't do well sitting in the back of my rental car on a hot summer day. [insert sad face] The beer was delish, too. It was cold and crisp, perfect for the sunny weather. And the service was spot on, too! My only "hmmmm" is I'm not the biggest fan of ordering via an app at a full service restaurant. Seemed weird to go inside to get my beer tastes from the beertender, then have to return to my table to order what I liked.

I've stopped in a couple times now and this spot not only offers great beer, but also some delicious food. They're located on Capitol near 18th and street parking is easy to find either right nearby or within a short walk. They're located have indoor and outdoor seating and are great for groups big and small. I also learned that they're dog friendly! I'll have to bring our little guy next time. On our latest visit we visited with friends on a Monday night around 7:30pm and were able to easily grab a table. We ordered a bunch of appetizers including two orders of the hummus- we highly recommend it- along with fried pickles, their goat cheese dip, and shishito peppers. All the appetizers were good, our personal favorites were the hummus and fried pickles though. We also ordered a couple pizzas and I was most excited for their Good Dill Hunting pickle pizza. I'm a huge fan of pickle pizzas and I needed to try this. It didn't disappoint, it had a good amount of dill pickles and the sauce, cheese and bacon along with their crust made for a delicious combination. You might rest at the tables with a QR code, but the staff still check in on you, deliver your food and drinks and were really kind and attentive. They also helped us get water and boxes. Overall I had a great experience, love the food and am excited to return again soon.

Enzo's favorite place to come and his owner likes it as well. Extremely dog friendly and the food and beers are great. You order everything off the QR code so just a heads up. One of our favorite spots to stop by for a beer and pizza. Workers are always excited to show the pups love.

Great location in midtown. If you're walking around it's a nice spot to stop in. They have a good amount of food options. Lots of indoor and patio/outdoor seating. Dog friendly place with water bowls for the fur babies. We stopped on a Saturday exploring midtown. A good variety of beers to for everyone pallet. I ordered a sour and my fiance had the hazy DIPA and the pickle beer.

We were in the area so decided to stop informing for a beer and dinner. They have a great selection of beers and cans to go. We were greeted right away and ordered a flight as well as the Shishito Peppers and Goat Cheese dip. They also have pizza. The food was delivered quickly. There is seating both inside and outside. Inside there is a tv to watch sports.

This is a funny place for me as I've been here more than a few times, yet I don't have a favorite beer or food item but not because I don't like the food or the beer but because the more things I try the more things I had to my favorites list at this incredible brewery. This particular visit was on a Tuesday and they have a great pint beer special on Mondays and Tuesdays with $5 select pints all day. On this day we decided to go with Weird is the new Normal-a West Coast IPA($5.00) & a Luna De Miel-a Mexican Amber($5.00). Both beers were very refreshing and went down super easy and I've added both to my "will order again " list. For food I ended up ordering Brisket Tacos ($14.00) off the appetizer list and a Pulled Pork Sandwich($17.00) off the sandwich list. I upgraded my fries to Garlic Fries for an additional fee-I think $1 but not sure as I was being treated that day. This is the kid of place where u walk up to counter and place an order for your beer and food then they give u a number and will bring your grub out to ya at whatever table u can find. They have both indoor and outside seating-I prefer outside seating this time of year. Food was delivered very fast-in under 10 minutes. Brisket Tacos were super simple but still wonderful -really soft tortilla with a nice chew and flavor topped with their famous juicy tender perfectly flavored brisket with onions and cilantro as a topper-they are excellent because of the quality of the brisket. 8.8/10 Pulled Pork Sandwich was the item that stood out that day-pulled pork was smoked perfectly and smothered with a perfect amount of their BBQ sauce and one of their famous onion rings is in the sandwich also topped with BBQ sauce. The bun they use was so soft and meshed perfectly with the soft tasty bite of the pulled pork. 9.4/10 I really do love all of my visits to Urban Roots as every visit has been positive-I've recommended this place to many of my friends who visit from out of town for a high quality yet casual dining experience & if that isn't enough of a recommendation, the day I visited was my actual birthday and this was the place I choose to celebrate-I love this place that much.

I came to visit my friends and we went to a brewery to catch up. My friend just bought a house and was moving, as well as having her birthday, so her ID was expired which we were not aware of. It happens. My friend was going to log into DMV just so she can show a valid ID the bartender but another woman working came up exclaiming they can not accept that and she will not get a drink. My friend did not argue about it and my other friend and I got our beers and sat down. We just wanted to spend time and catch up. My friend with the expired ID did not even take a sip of any drinks and respected the policy, the woman that we talked to earlier about the ids then proceeded to come up to us and say that we were sharing drinks, yelling and being very hostile. We were all confused because in no way, my friend even touched or drank any of the drinks. She insisted to call the cops. We then asked her if she had any evidence such as video footage and she said she did not have any access to that and she did not have footage. She said we were breaking the law and she will get the police involved for underage drinking. She was being extremely hostile. THANK YOU BY THE WAY SHE IS IN HER 30s BUT BESIDE THE POINT THEY REFUSED TO PULL UP THE FOOTAGE AND CORNERED US WHEN WE WERE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We even encouraged to call the police then she started back tracking. Their lead came in. We again, asked for the footage and he then, unrelated, said they are on the verge of closing rather than taking any form of accountability or apologizing for how his colleague was treating us. We asked for a refund and would leave, we were so uncomfortable. He then proceeded to say we did not pay for the drinks and I had to pull up my credit card statement to even prove it, which is absolutely ridiculous. I got our drinks and paid/ closed the tab before even sitting down. We asked to talk to a manager again. Mind you, we asked previously, and got the lead. The manager just asked if we were from the Bay and shook our hands instead of actually doing anything about the situation. I saw her hug the woman that was accusing after we were leaving which is absolutely ridiculous. Why would you encourage that type of behavior to your staff. Profiling in 2025 is insane. I feel bad for my friends. I feel extremely uncomfortable. Discriminating and accusing just because we are the only POCs in the room is so embarrassing. DO BETTER- NOT EVEN AS AN ESTABLISHMENT BUT JUST AS HUMAN BEINGS.

Mind you I love that they to woodfire pizza, I make woodfire pizza at home but ya just gatta watch the flour underneath to not lose the flavor or the crispness of the dough. The hummus was ok, I was hoping for a more lemony flavor and the veggies were cut really thin. As far as bang for you buck it was ok. They had women great beers and drinks on then menu so honestly the environment is set up for vibes. The food could use a little more love but honestly it's a great spot because in the end ... decent food, good friends, drinks and vibes ... you cant beat that.
