It is a safe space to eat without the lingering worry that the workers don't actually know what gluten is, or don't actually care. The family owned business is incredibly passionate about what they do and they are some of the loveliest people to speak to about specific dietery requirements. My sister has been diagnosed as a coeliac for about 4 years now and she can still struggle to find gluten free products she likes. I was so happy to take her here and re introduce her to jube lollies, pies and pasties, heaps of different bread varieties and even the hard to find gluten free asian condiment sauces. There was even a version of gluten free vegemite. We had a great chat with the owners who were supportive, knowledgable and would go out of their way to help you. We ended up leaving with three bags full of things, and will definitely be back, these places need supporting. (BTW gluten free cake is better then normal cake. yum.) *not monetary free.

Italian isn't even my favourite food so it has to be good for me to be impressed. It is run from good Italian heritage: Andy Parisi started La Trattoria in King William Road, many years ago and I believe that it is his daughters that now run Parisi's. Anyway, the food is delicious and traditionally Italian and the serves are generous without being too much. The Gnocci is particularly good here. The restaurant itself is beautiful, elegant and glamorous in an understated way. The bar is a central focus with its mood lighting and rich colours. Gold muted tones give a relaxed elegance and a wonderful ambience. Parisi's is often busy but not too noisy. The service is great and waiting staff are attentive. The courtyard is also a lovely area to dine in the summer months with vine leaves trailing above. This is also a good spot for lunch, coffee or just a quick catch up with friends.

They have two seating areas, inside and outside in the covered courtyard. The courtyard is by far nicer in the evening, complete with ambient lighting. Never fear, in Winter they have large gas heaters, so you won't feel the cold. Parisi's specialise in Italian style food, including gormet pizzas, delicious pasta and desserts. Definite standouts is the gnocchi and spinach dish and the flambe dessert pizza. A word of warning though - the serving sizes are massive! I could only get through about 1/3 of a pasta dish. Luckily the have the option of 'doggy-bagging' the remainder of your meal for later in their chinese takaway boxes. A definite must try for any pasta fanatic!

Have you always wanted to go to Italy, to taste the true, authentic pizza that the country is known…read morefor...but haven't made it there yet? What if I told you, that you could have a taste of authentic Italian pizza right here in Adelaide? Introducing Antica Pizzeria ladies and gentleberries! I have been to Italy before and had that authentic pizza, and Friday night I was transported back overseas. Popped in here on a Friday night and it was so busy! We were lucky to get a table without making a booking, so on a Friday or Saturday I would suggesting giving them a call first. My boyfriend and I decided to share a pizza, because they looked MASSIVE and we were trying to save a bit of money. We ordered a plain and simple Margherita. The service was fantastic - quick, attentive (but not too much) and friendly - and the speed the pizza came out was awesome. They have a large wood oven and prep area in open view to the restaurant patrons which I liked, because you see the delicious dough being kneaded and spun around into a pizza. We sat inside but there are tables outside as well, with those lovely outdoor heaters. They did cut the pizza into slices, which isn't technically very authentic (everywhere in Italy leaves the pizzas whole and unsliced) but it does make eating it a lot easier. The Margherita was delicious, simple but full of flavour. I loved the pizza base, hands down one of the better bases I have had in Adelaide. Halfway through the pizza my man decided that this was delicious and he was hungry for more - so he ordered a second pizza, this time going for the Bosciola, which is a pizza with leg ham, mushrooms and tomato I think from memory. We also decided to grab a beer and a glass of wine for me. All up the dinner and drinks for two was $54, which I was more than happy to pay. Yes you can get cheaper pizza elsewhere, but the quality of this pizza and the quality of the service, I think $27 for an entire huge pizza and a drink is pretty reasonable. They also do takeaway....which I will be taking advantage of. Yes indeeedy.

They also serve tapas food. They also serve tapas food. We had the pan fried gnocchi with artichokes, and the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes. Mmm! The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The cocktails are $17 - $20. The tapas is under $15. We also had a lovely conversation with the owner evi about the design of the place. I'd love to come back again on my way home from workies :) Nothing much more I can add to what Karen F had commented, both Adam & Evi are great hosts. Very attentive and explained both the cocktails and food very well and enticed us into trying them. Enjoyable evening.

I have only been here for a wine and cocktail so far but this place really adds to the quirky little shops, bakeries and cafes that are popping up on KWR! Fast and friendly service, combined with some unique concoctions and names of cocktails means you will spend most of your time there deciding which cocktail you'll get when you next return. The Elephant Espress is on my list to try next time. If you are like my other half though and think cocktail is for cordial drinkers then never fear - the wine and beer list is for quoffers and swirlers alike. These guys take their booze seriously and I am definitely signing up for one of their monthly "tasting flight masterclasses" in the future.
