Came here for a day trip with my GF and we had an amazing time, to say the least. Sherry was a great host and introduced me to an amazing selection of whites, reds and rosé's. The hour we spent there went by quickly with the amazing conversation and suggestions of where to go. Hit up a few spots she mentioned and both were awesome. Thank you. Coming back.

Passion Cellars in Jerome AZ

We visited Passion Cellars in Jerome AZ on May 17, 2024. It was such fun & had some great wines. McKenzie made our afternoon fabulous! Super friendly, great smile & made us feel at home. We did by two bottles of wine.

Great friendly fast and efficient service! Great variety of wine. Something for everyone. Also, great homemade balsamic vinegar and oils. We left with more vinegar than wine. Recommend stopping in!

This place was wonderful! This was our first stop on our wine tasting journey in Jerome. I even loved the 17 steps it takes to get to the tasting room. The wine is excellent and my friend and I ended up buying two bottles each. Our wine connoisseur was funny, personable and kept us quite entertained. Oh and very knowledgeable, gave us some tips and tricks on wine tasting. I don't even care that there's a ghost in the ladies restroom lol lol Joking aside the wine here is top notch! I was able to put my wine tasting classes to good use. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to taste. My taste buds did a happy dance so I had to buy some to bring home. Thank you!!

Yum!!!

Delicious wines. Knowledgeable staff and really fun. Don't miss the reserve flight. The Zinfandel and Barbera reserve are amazing. If you buy a couple bottles, no charge for the tastings. It was so busy... but not surprising. The wine was so good. Cody was managing the crazy load.of people well!

Enjoyed the wines here. They had sweet and dry wines that were done well. The port is sweet and very smooth.

There are places you go for the wine. And then there are…read moreplaces you go for the people--and somehow the wine tastes better because of it. Caduceus Cellars, perched improbably in the bones of Jerome, is one of those rare joints where hospitality is not a script, not a brand exercise, but a lived, practiced craft. The kind you don't learn in a seminar. You earn it over years of showing up early, pulling shots, wiping counters, listening to locals, and remembering faces. We walked in right after opening--early, quiet, the town still rubbing the sleep out of its eyes. And then something extraordinary happened. Allen looked up, smiled, and recognized us. Not from last week. Not from last season. From eleven years ago. That kind of memory stops you in your tracks. It's not clever. It's not performative. It's human. It says: you mattered the last time you were here. From there, the hour evaporated. Life, travel, how Jerome has changed and how it hasn't. The ebb and flow of a town that's been rich, abandoned, rediscovered, and reimagined more times than most American cities ever will be. Brian and Allen don't rush you through a tasting--they invite you into a conversation. The wine is the anchor, but the exchange is the point. Before the cellars, these two ran what many locals still swear was the best café in Jerome. That's where they learned the real trade: how to read a room, how to listen, how to make people feel welcome without making a show of it. Coffee and espresso are brutal teachers--there's nowhere to hide. That discipline carries over beautifully here. And the wine? It's the kind that demands attention without demanding obedience. Thoughtful, expressive, unapologetically rooted in place. You come for what may very well be the best wine in the West--and you stay because someone remembered your name. Caduceus Cellars isn't just a tasting room. It's a reminder that the soul of travel isn't novelty--it's connection. Go for the wine. Stay for Brian and Allen. Leave with the feeling that, somehow, Jerome remembers you too.

When I asked about information on the wine I was told to check the web page and quickly dismissed so she could have a conversation with a "regular" who just walked in.

Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria - Caesar salad was fresh & delicious

FANTASTIC experience at Merkin last night.. service was exceptional, food was 'different' in the…read morevery best way possible from 'traditional' in a couple ways: - everything is completely scratch, from the pasta to corn - so it doesnt taste the same as every other joint - service is a slower pace - as it SHOULD BE in a wine bar. This place is not looking to slam out every table rather let folks enjoy the experience, sit back, relax, live in the moment. For some, speedy service is necessary. Not always the case for us - thankfully not the case this evening. The table next to us were celebrating a 30yo's bday and complaining to the manager about slow service until they got comp'd... then we heard the guy complaining that his cc was maxed out... - food is locally sourced, much of it owned by the owner so the prices are VERY unexpectedly reasonable. We expected to pay more but entrees were around $25/average +/-... all in with an app we shared and 2-3 glasses of wine our Saturday dinner total was $100

We read the disclaimer on the bottom of the menu stating possible risk of cross-contamination and informed our server that a member of our party has celiac disease, despite this declaration we were served allergens TWICE. Both the fried gnocchi with the steak and a pizelle cookie hidden in the ube gelaska were served despite our clear notice. Food safety is a significant responsibility, and it appears the kitchen staff ignored the modifier on the service ticket for the steak (the server forgot to add the modifier on the dessert dish) and the server did not pay attention to the presentation prior to delivering the dish to the table. While the manager was lovely and effective at de-escalating the situation, the initial server's reaction was to walk away. Celiac disease is a serious health issue, not a dietary preference, and requires strict precautionary measures. Unfortunately, the carelessness displayed by the staff deters us from returning, as this lack of attention to detail poses a serious health risk to your patrons. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously to ensure better safety protocols in the future. It's a beautiful establishment with an incredibly unique menu that deserves better service and care from the staff.

We have been amazed... that the Southwest and especially the Verde Valley area has so many viticultural qualities that stand out. Being somewhat connoisseurs of good vino we're always on the lookout for more extraordinary and delicious wines in Arizona. Wine enjoyment is very subjective, and our tastes may not reflect yours but what we have found here at the Chateau Tumbleweed Winery defines the regions wine eminence and potential. Of most the wines tried an overwhelming number we found to be of high quality. Their white, red, and rosé varieties are a refined sort, giving each a uniqueness that one can distinguish from other vintners. They have made a specific point of utilizing some of the best of the best vineyards across Arizona thereby designing their own distinctive approbation to their own product. Some our faves on our visit are the refined Cimmaron Vinyard Mourvèdre 2022, the pixelating Picford Blanc 2023, the refreshing Rex 2022 and the exhilarating Miss Sandy Jones 2023. We took some home! Miss Sandy, Mourvedre, Rose and Dos Amigos. Enjoying a few wine choices at their location is a relaxing, enjoyable and flavorful happening as they offer a calming and comforting outdoor patio area conducive to sipping and enjoying. If you're wine connoisseurs like us, you will enjoy a pause here for some refreshing and enjoyable sips on the patio.
